Buddy is a 10+ year-old Yorkie mix rescue who’s been part of our family for at least a decade! Due to health challenges and changes in our household, we can no longer provide the full-time care he deserves. He’s a very routine-oriented senior dog who is highly motivated by food—so we encourage you to keep up his training with treats. He enjoys sunbathing in the yard. He needs a structured day with bathroom breaks in the morning and 1-2x in the late afternoon and evening (to avoid accidents). He is crate trained and will go in without issues. He’s slower now with age but enjoys short walks and resting on comfy beds (best in each room you want him in). He does have a sensitive stomach (no human food, especially fatty foods). Kibbles are best. If you are willing to bring a senior dog into your home, Buddy will be a loving companion who will follow you around everywhere! He just needs a gentle and caring family to spend his golden years with.

We believe when you adopt a pet it becomes a cherished family member for life. Unfortunately, life can be difficult and sometimes circumstances force pet owners to make the hard choice to relinquish their pet. That’s exactly what happened to Hershey. Hershey is a young, female Yorkie mix with the energy of a puppy. She is very friendly with adult humans and enjoys attention. She is small in size, with a black and brown coat and perky ears. She enjoys playing with toys and affection from adults and may be suitable for a home with children over 10 years of age. Hershey is not fond of other animals though, so for this reason we recommend a home where Hershey is the only pet. Please apply to adopt Hershey at www.AALOC.org.
