Princess #15 | 7 years old | Terrier Mix | Cuddle enthusiast Princess is a sweet, affectionate 7-year-old Terrier mix who thrives on love, snuggles, and attention. At 11 pounds, she’s the perfect lap companion and enjoys curling up under blankets, resting her head on you, or giving gentle hugs. Princess is house trained, communicates clearly when she needs to go outside, and enjoys structured routines that help her feel secure. This little lady loves her daily walks and car rides, though she can be a bit nervous around loud noises and big trucks, so a calm, patient home is ideal. She knows several commands, including sit, stay, come, down, and off, and is motivated by both food and affection. Princess is playful in her own gentle way but prefers snuggling and being near her people to toys. Princess has shown some separation anxiety when left alone, so she would do best in a home where someone is around much of the day or can gradually help her adjust. She enjoys being the center of attention and may do best as the only dog in the home. She has a loving and loyal personality and would thrive in a home that can provide patience, daily walks, cozy cuddle time, and lots of reassurance. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will happily spend hours snuggled up with you, Princess is ready to find her forever lap. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. ***Due to an overwhelming response, we are pausing applications on Nicolas to review those already submitted. Please watch our page as we will be posting more littles over the next few days. Thank you!*** Nicolas is a 1-2 year old Terrier mix, likely with some Yorkie. He found himself at Beeville Animal Control after a Good Samaritan witnessed him being abused by unhoused person. Unfortunately this sweetie sat there for two weeks and nobody claimed him. Since they only have 5-6 kennels he would quickly lose his spot be euthanized for space, so our rescuer stepped in and saved him. Nicolas is very playful and just wants to play all the time. He does have an off switch when you put him in his kennel. He is submissive with other dogs. He has an affinity for squeaky toys, perhaps too much? This good boy is good on leash, potty trained (he was marking before his neuter), good with kids, and would make a great apartment dog. The only thing that makes him just below perfect, is he needs to be monitored outside or he will dig a hole to freedom! Nicolas is currently living in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting an adopter or open foster home in Colorado to bring him up and into their home- the next transport arrives January 9th! ***Nicolas is being posted on behalf of our partner rescue in Texas- the process and adoption will go through them. Cricket is a loving, sweet dog with a sometimes playful personality. She is 12 years old and has been having health issues. She has allergies that are best handled with quarterly allergy injections. She has a fungul infection that has been hard to get rid of even with bathing her in proper shampoos. She requires a good amount of attention. She is house trained but will have occasional accidents if left alone too long without going outside. We adopted her when more of our kids are at home. Our last two boys are busy in high school and we work. We have limited time to give to her and in addition she does require more attention due to some health issues. We do not have the time to properly care for her. It’s very hard to put her up for adoption but I know it is best. Will keep her as long as I need to until she can find a proper home.
