Story
Hi, I’m Farfel — a 1-year-old tiny Yorkie, and I mean tiny tiny… just about 3 pounds. I came from a backyard breeder situation, so my start in life wasn’t exactly what it should have been. But now I’m safe, and I’m learning that the world can be warm, gentle, and full of love — especially when there’s a lap involved. Despite my size, I have a big heart and a very sweet nature. I absolutely love to snuggle, and feel most comfortable when I’m close to my person. Being held, tucked into blankets, or curled up next to you is my favorite place to be. I’m still young and discovering what it means to just be a happy little dog. I’m looking for a forever home that understands how delicate I am — someone who will protect me, cherish me, and treat me like the precious little soul I am. If you’ve ever dreamed of a tiny shadow who wants nothing more than to be loved and held, I’m ready! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Hello hello! I’m Harry — a 1-year-old Yorkie weighing just about 5 pounds, and I’m the bold guy of the bunch. I was rescued from a backyard breeding situation along with some other Yorkies. People say I’m the most confident of my little crew, always ready to say hello and see what fun is happening next. I’ve got a big personality packed into a tiny body. Everyone calls me a cutie patootie, and honestly… they’re not wrong. I’m ready for a forever home where I can keep being my happy, outgoing self and soak up all the love I missed out on early in life. If you’re looking for a tiny dog with a confident strut, a sweet heart, and endless charm, I think we’re going to be very good friends. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. Story
Milo is an adorable 8-month-old tripod with a huge love for life. He came to us after being hit by a car, but you’d truly never know he has three legs—this is no disability for him! He plays nonstop with his foster dog friends, does zoomies, and jumps on and off the couch with ease. Milo is wee-wee pad trained and learning to go outside at his own pace. He loves everyone he meets—people, dogs, and kids alike. He adores toys, loves his food, and is always up for fun. Milo thrives with other dogs and loves to cuddle and play, so his ideal home would have another friendly dog. He sleeps as close to his foster mom as possible and is very affectionate. Due to separation anxiety, Milo will need a home (no apartments) where someone is home often or willing to continue working with him. Milo is a joyful, resilient little guy who will make a loving and devoted companion

Story
Lea, who has a Senior Sanctuary, was asked by a local shelter to take Benji because he was emaciated and the shelter thought he was dying ..his organs were shutting down. A few months later in Lea's care.. he has gained weight and his bloodwork is perfect. He was obviously being starved , so now he will guard food from other dogs for that reason. You certainly can't blame him for that! Older children that will understand the guarding issue only probably would be fine. He is very affectionate and loves attention.  Benji is 13 lbs and 6 yrs old. He loves to play with other dogs, and will needs a yard with a secure 5' fence minimum.  Yes this little man can jump high and has already jumped a 4' gate....so again 5' fence minimum Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Story
“Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have good luck. Give it to a faithful friend, then your luck will never end.” This well-known rhyme, often associated with the belief that finding a penny is a sign of good fortune, is also a reminder to appreciate the smallest things. At just six pounds, this twelve-year-old Yorkie/Maltese mix is more of a halfpenny, or, to “coin” a phrase, the more modern version known as Haypenny. Like most seniors, she has a few health issues, though this spunky little lady isn’t letting anything slow her down in her search for a forever home. Optimistic and outgoing, her tail starts wagging as soon as she hears her name and doesn’t stop as long as she’s in your company. Following her nose, she loves exploratory walks and all the well-deserved attention she receives along the way. She also enjoys girl talk, audio books, and napping on the couch. If this pocket full of sunshine sounds perfect for you, stop by to meet Haypenny today! *Haypenny is fully grown and mostly housebroken*
