Shirley is a sweet little Yorkie terrier mix around 3 years old and about 12 pounds. She can be a bit shy at first but once she feels safe her gentle personality really shines. Shirley loves toys, enjoys quiet companionship, and is happiest curled up on a lap soaking in affection. She’s housebroken and does well with other dogs her size. Shirley may do best in an all adult home where things are calm and predictable. She’s an easygoing girl who just wants to be close to her person. Shirley is not spayed yet but will be, and she’ll be fully vetted while in our care. She’s a lovely little dog looking for a patient, loving home to call her own. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. This little guy is looking for his forever home! Charlie Brown is a 6-year-old Yorkie/Chihuahua mix, weighing in at about 11 pounds. His previous owner had to move and, unfortunately, couldn’t take him along, but we know there’s a perfect family out there ready to give him all the love he deserves. Charlie Brown is a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly—he was giving his foster mom kisses and even showing off his furry little belly within an hour! He’s housebroken, does well with smaller dogs, and even brought his favorite toy from his previous home. He’s not neutered yet, but don’t worry- we’ll take care of all his vetting and neutering before he heads off to his new home. As we get to know him better, we’ll share more about his personality, but we already know he’s a sweet, affectionate little guy who’s ready to be someone’s best friend. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, and currently undergoing heartworm treatment. * Her coat was severely matted right after her rescue, so she has been completely shaved for her health and comfort. 2.) Rescue Story * Soobin was rescued on the day Adogs was volunteering at the Gimje City Shelter to prepare for winter. At the time, an infectious disease was spreading through the shelter, and the weather was becoming increasingly cold. Realizing Soobin would not be able to survive those conditions, we urgently brought her into our care. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Can be a bit cautious around strangers, but she isn’t naturally timid. Once she gets used to someone, she is likely to open up quickly. * With Dogs: Tends to bark warily when she sees other dogs moving in front of her. * With Cats: Has not been introduced to them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Difficult to determine at this time as she is currently living in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Since she lives at our center, she currently only relieves herself outdoors. * Hygiene: Received grooming at a professional groomer’s and she did well. * Walks: Due to her ongoing heartworm treatment, her walks are strictly restricted, so her leash manners are yet to be determined. * Car Sickness: Doesn’t have car sickness and rides in the car well! * Has shown no signs of biting or mouthing. * Barking: Barks sensitively at the movements of other dogs, but this may be due to the unfamiliar environment. I am about 1.5 years old, weigh 15.2 lbs, and I was dumped with my brother in a large fenced-off area containing giant propane tanks in the middle of a field in Von Ormy, Texas. We were absolutely terrified, and thankfully, locals heard us barking and reached out to a lady who fosters for 4 Little Paws Rescue. She tried to coax us over, but we were too scared to approach, so a trapper was called in due to freezing rain on the way for the following day. These days, we are doing great. Healthy, happy, sweet as can be, and almost desperate for love! We are now spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet wonderful forever families! I am a friendly girl, just a speck shy at first, but such a sweet and loving little girl. I was sharing kisses with my foster mom the very same day, basically saying how grateful I was to be safe and loved. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy playtime, but if I could just be snuggled in your arms or on your lap all day, I would be the happiest girl in town! Don't get me wrong... I don't need to be glued to your hip and will entertain myself by having fun with doggy toys, chewing on chew bones like Benebone or Nylabone type chews, and chasing squeaky balls. I am well-behaved in a home, already housebroken, and I also know how to use a doggy door. I enjoy sleeping in bed with my foster parents, and I adjust quickly to new situations. I am about 1.5 years old, weigh 16 lbs, and I was dumped with my sister inside a large fenced-off area containing giant propane tanks in the middle of a field in Von Ormy, Texas. We were absolutely terrified, and thankfully, locals heard us barking and reached out to a lady who fosters for 4 Little Paws Rescue. She tried to coax us over, but we were too scared to approach, so a trapper was called in due to freezing rain on the way for the following day. Once trapped, she could see that the skin on my back was dry and flaky with thinning fur, so the vet suggested medicated baths and some fish oil added to my food, and that has worked wonders! These days, we are doing great. Healthy, happy, sweet as can be, both of us almost desperate for love! We are now spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and my fur is filling in nicely! I am a friendly boy, just a speck shy at first, but very sweet and loving. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy playtime, plush toys, doggy treats, and rummaging through the toy box to see what fun toys are hiding in there. I also enjoy running through the house, being very curious, sniffing everything, and am usually following my foster mom from room to room. I am very affectionate, kissy and snuggly, love pets and tummy rubs, and sleeping in bed beside you. I am not a fan of being crated, but I will settle down and take a nap if needed. I am well-behaved, only bark to alert you, and I am housebroken.
