Story
Preston is a 9-year-old Yorkie who weighs about 8 pounds. He is a wonderful companion who enjoys simply sitting with or near his foster mom. Preston will be fully vetted with us and is scheduled for his neuter next week. He arrived with his mate Beauty Queen and their daughter Mocha Choca Latte. Preston gets along well with dogs, cats, and people. He has a friendly, easygoing personality that would make him a great fit for many families. A home with older children might be best for him. Preston is ready to find a loving forever home where he can share his calm and sweet nature. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Story
This little guy is looking for his forever home! Charlie Brown is a 6-year-old Yorkie/Chihuahua mix, weighing in at about 11 pounds. His previous owner had to move and, unfortunately, couldn’t take him along, but we know there’s a perfect family out there ready to give him all the love he deserves. Charlie Brown is a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly—he was giving his foster mom kisses and even showing off his furry little belly within an hour! He’s housebroken, does well with smaller dogs, and even brought his favorite toy from his previous home. He’s not neutered yet, but don’t worry- we’ll take care of all his vetting and neutering before he heads off to his new home. As we get to know him better, we’ll share more about his personality, but we already know he’s a sweet, affectionate little guy who’s ready to be someone’s best friend. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Meet Teddy, a Yorkie mix who is about 6 years old and full of personality. He's playful and fun but takes his nap time very seriously- no interuptions! He enjoys long walks as long as the weather cooperates because rain is definitely not his thing. Car rides and trips to Home Depot are his idea of a good time. He is scared of his own shadow and will loudly protest whenever a horse shows up on TV. We suspect he was a horse in a past life! Teddy thinks he might be part cat and loves chasing his automatic laser toy. He is learning how to play politely with other dogs in park settings but already knows how to hang out with cats. He loves being praised when he follows commands and always wants to make his people proud. He likes treats but is more into doing a weird little dance around his food before he eats it. He can be a bit protective of his food and toys. Teddy enjoys hiking and sitting in the wind like he is in a dramatic music video. Baths are not his favorite but he will tolerate them. Garbage, however, is his true weakness. Underneath it all, he is a guard dog wrapped up in a teddy bear body. Teddy is looking for an all-adult home with people who will respect his boundaries and give him the time he needs to settle in. No kids for this guy. Just someone who understands that the best relationships take patience, understanding, and a little bit of humor. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. Story
This sweet 10-year-old Yorkie mix weighs just 7 pounds and has earned her nickname with her tiny size and big personality. Little Chicken is a gentle, spunky girl who simply wants a quiet home and someone to love. She has a heart murmur that we are currently evaluating, and it is likely she will need to be on heart medication. Because of her heart condition, she may not be able to undergo spay surgery. She also has a few small mammary tumors that may not be removable. At the moment, she is showing no signs of illness or discomfort and is enjoying life in her foster home. Little Chicken would do best with someone who is home most of the time. A retired person or someone with a quiet, steady routine would be ideal. She is fine with other dogs but does not rely on them to feel happy or secure. She's a lovely little soul with a lot of love left to give. All she needs now is a cozy place to call home. Story
This little lady was living outside for the last ten years of her life with three other dogs having litter after litter after litter. By the time we were able to remove all of these dogs, they were no longer producing so their owners just kind of wanted them out. Stitch has had dry eye that was never treated, so she does require drops twice a day and she has been spayed. She had all her mammary tumors removed and a long overdue dental. She is still an amazing watchdog and loves to walk. Please go to petresqinc.org to fill out an adoption applicationJuly 13, 2025, 9:21 am

Story
Freddie is the sweetest little dog ever, house trained. We prefer he goes to a home where there are no other bigger dogs cause even dogs that would play with him would probably play too rough and maybe hurt him, he’s so little but he is the sweetest little thing he has been neutered. He has had two of his puppy shots. He will need one more. He has had a rabies vaccination so he’s just the happiest playful little guy. Please include your phone number when inquired about him. strayheartsrescue@outlook.com https://forms.gle/suhbpui9RXiVmvoJ9
