Story
Sir Bentley Fitzsimmons a/k/a Bentley is and adorable, sweet and fun loving 9 yr old 11 lbs ( he's a bit chunky) Yorkie rescued from a local shelter. Bentley LOVES to play fetch more than anything, he also likes tug of war and playing with other small dogs. He is housetrained and will scratch at the door to tell you when he wants to go out. He was given up due do to landlord issues and we suspect that is because he has a very large bark for such a very small dog! He is heartworm tested negative, vaccinated, neutered, chipped and had a much needed dental and tooth extraction. He does not mind cats at all. Bentley seeks a local home with another small dog. Furniture privileges are fully expected. Fenced yard is preferred but not required. Due to his size, no small kids please. Local Inquiries only! Must haves: -Must be willing to play fetch a lot, and I mean a lot! -Must be willing to buy lots of toys -Must have another small dog - under 20 lbs -Must reside in Metro Atlanta Deal Breakers: -Apartments/Condos, anything that shares walls with the neighbor -Out of state or non metro Atlanta -Small kids -No similarly sized playful canine companion

Story
A SWEET & LOVELY GAL:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 20 lbs. & needs to lose some weight Hi there, I’m Suri!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and now I’m getting a second chance at a happy life. I needed bloodwork and a good dental cleaning when I arrived and I've had those now, thanks to a generous grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait to find my happily ever after!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I wasn’t interested in them, though I did not show any aggression, so if you have a dog that isn’t looking for a playmate, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met a nice boy and a girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so a home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me.  Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a gentle, adorable and fluffy sweetheart who’s just had a fresh haircut. I’m a pretty easy pup — friendly and sweet, which makes hanging out with me a breeze. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, you’ll see just how sweet and loving I am.  Despite my age and weight, I currently have no issues going up and down stairs, enjoy a few shorter walks throughout the day, and the occasional chasing of a small frog in my foster’s yard.  During our walks, I sometimes do a little “reverse allergy sneeze,” which sounds like a funny snort — it’s harmless and passes quickly.  / Energy level: 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and I bet you can teach me even more.  / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts and am doing well in my foster home at night as well as when my foster is away (a little treat to get me in there is always appreciated). / I only had a few accidents on the shelter schedule and am doing well in my foster home, so hopefully that will translate to doing well in my new home, too – of course there may be an adjustment period, and I do like to drink a lot of water. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy spending time with the nice volunteers and make a great front desk assistant / greeter to the friendly people coming to visit the shelter.  I just really enjoy people and being petted.  In my foster home, I am pretty chill and don’t care to play much – I just want to hang with the people.  I do enjoy a peanut butter Kong and other healthy weight-loss friendly treats (which I frequently beg my foster for).  Naps are great and I look forward to my average 8-9 hours of sleep each night, from around 10pm to 7am.  I cuddle with my foster on the couch, but need some help getting up there.  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we will like doing together. / I don’t seem to love being outside – just take me to the bathroom and I’m ready to come back inside. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I came in with some fur loss and not sure if I’ll grow that fur back, but I don’t mind and I hope you won’t either.  I had 1 tooth pulled during my dental cleaning and my mouth is feeling fresh again.  I’ve been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and I’m on a medication called Vetoryl that I’ll need to stay on for life.  I also had 2 small cysts removed from my belly.  I also take an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin which is good for all older doggies.  I’m trying some allergy medication, so just ask about that.   I’m so thankful that I was rescued and that I’ve gotten the much-needed vet care and love from all the nice folks at Mostly Mutts, and now I can’t wait to find my new family that will continue that love and good care.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  August 28, 2025, 11:48 am

Story
Meet Snickers – A Gentle Heart Ready to Grow Hi, I’m Snickers. I’m a mild-mannered, sweet pup who may be a little shy when we first meet, but with a little time and patience, I warm up quickly. I have a soft, thoughtful nature and I do best in a calm, loving environment. I’m looking for someone who can help me build my confidence through proper socialization, love, and kindness. With reassurance and a steady routine, my gentle personality really shines, and I become a loyal, loving companion. If you’re the kind of person who believes the most rewarding bonds are built with patience and heart, I’d love the chance to grow by your side. Story
Meet Bear — a quiet senior hoping for a second chance. Bear is a sweet, distinguished older gentleman who was sadly left behind after being taken to visit a friend. Now he’s looking for a peaceful retirement home where he can enjoy calm days, soft beds, and plenty of lap time. He’s still settling in and learning what it means to feel safe again, so we’re getting to know him slowly. Bear is currently working on his house-training and doing his best as he adjusts. If you have room in your heart — and on your couch — for a senior dog who deserves stability, kindness, and patience, Bear would love to spend his golden years with you.
