This spayed little lady is up to date on all her vaccines and ready to find her forever home. Bunnie is bouncy and full of energy, always up for a walk or some playtime. But don’t worry—she’s just as happy to snuggle up and be brushed afterward. Bunnie doesn’t shed much since she has hair, not fur, which makes grooming a breeze. She can be a bit stubborn, but her big personality will keep you entertained. She’ll do best with someone who can set boundaries and keep her feeling secure. She loves being part of whatever you’re doing—whether it’s car rides or hanging out at home. She tolerates the kennel well, and picked up on housetraining quickly. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and loyal companion who’s ready to be part of your daily life, Bunnie could be your perfect match!

Story
LOOKING FOR MY PERSON:  Approx. 12 years old / Approx. 13 lbs.  Hi, my name is Bessie!  I lived with my family my entire life, but their living situation changed, and they are relocating to a home where pets are not allowed.  That makes me sad, but I am so grateful that Mostly Mutts will work to help me find a new home.  I am in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I did not like the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so no dogs please. I tolerated a dog in one temp. foster home, but another temp. foster said I barked at dogs that entered the same room as me as well as those I passed on my walks, so I do not want to live with them. / My former family reported that I did not like cats and Mostly Mutts agrees. / I excitedly went after ankles of kids I met in a foster home and since I have bitten, best no kids.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a playful girl who likes toys and sometimes acts younger than my age.  I’m called a spry girl and had a blast playing with the volunteer photographer!  I’m a sweet girl who accepts affection most of the time, though I have guarding behaviors when it comes to things like my bed, treats and people.  Once I find my person, I don’t really want to share them too much. This can be a trainable situation and my trainer will be happy to talk to you.  I can be a bit temperamental and once bit my former foster mom, though I did have a urinary tract infection, so that may have had a bit to do with it. My former owner did not report any bites.  My foster said I like new people to go slow as I get to know them so, please be patient with me as I adjust to my new home and any new people I meet.  It just took a few days for me to feel comfortable with a temp. foster when my regular foster was away.  She even called me a ‘real love bug.’  Once I am settled, I am sure to show you how sweet I can be!  / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I have already learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also walk well on a leash.  My trainer at the shelter is great with the little dogs with big personalities, so ask to talk to her when setting up a meeting with me.  My former family reported that I also knew the word ‘no’ and ‘good job’ for praising me. In my former foster home, I knew the words ‘outside’ for going out, and ‘up’, for going up stairs and that I could ‘sit’ when I choose to – lol. / My crate manners were good in my former home and are good at Mostly Mutts, and it’s best that I sleep in a crate at night instead of the bed with you, as that is a time that I bit my person. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, and in my foster home.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love going for walks and playing fetch.  It was fun playing in the fall leaves too. I enjoy having my cheeks and the top of my head rubbed as well as cuddles and scratches on my back.  Playing with toys is also fun and I enjoy hanging out with my person.  I do seem to prefer women to men. / I don’t like to be picked up, so let me come to you, please.  I’m also not a fan of having my paws, tummy or rear end rubbed.  I don’t care for some men or people going too fast as I get to know them.  I don’t like dogs coming too close and alert bark at animals I see outside.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, training, and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have a congenital dropped carpus on both front legs and luxating patella on the left, but my foster didn’t even notice as I can jump and don’t have pain.  I also have a mild heart murmur that does not require any treatment currently. I’m on an inexpensive over-the-counter joint supplement which is good for all older dogs.    I am looking for a loving home for life with a dog experienced person!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 3, 2024, 12:41 pm

Please say hello to Chip!!🧡 We don't know much about Chip other than he's an elderly man. He's had multiple homes before he came to us😥. Chip needed a full work up when he came to us to make sure he was healthy. We did bloodwork and the necessary vaccines he needed by law and for his age. Chip🧡 is heartworm negative, and his bloodwork🩸 looked great. We have since started him on flea tick and heartworm prevention. When he came to us, he was completely matted, he's since had a full body makeover😄. Chip really needs a dental with the possibility of a full mouth extraction, but we've decided that due to his age it would be too risky to put him under anesthesia. He's eating dry food well, but we add a little water to it to soften it up and he devours it. Chip needs someone who will be patient with him. We believe he's lost some of his hearing and he can still see but we believe some things are a little blurry. Chip also would need someone who would be able to get him outside on a consistent schedule. We believe he was pee pad trained but since having him he has grasped the concept of going in the yard, but he needs to go out pretty often. Chip is a gentle old soul, and he just needs someone that will give him a warm comfortable place to live out his remaining few years of life. If you think Chip is the dog for you submit an application.

She’s literally my little sweetheart. It hurts me to give her away but I don’t have the time for my baby because of work. She loves to run and play. Loves to sleep and eat. Sometimes shy to new pups. Talks a lot lol she’s always willing to have a debate. She has arthritis but you can’t tell because she’s so active for her age. Please take care of my buddy. She’s just a sweetheart.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. LINK TO ADOPT: https://airtable.com/appJMHBItTE2RWdqD/shrsP6tKWM2HcFZaA Meet Marty! Marty is a sensitive pup looking for a patient and loving family who understands the importance of structure and clear guidance. This sweet pup thrives on having well-defined rules and boundaries and needs an owner who can provide the stability he craves. Marty may initially be a bit unsure and fearful in unfamiliar situations, but with your consistent support, he will gradually build trust and confidence. He's an enthusiastic learner who loves going on walks, enjoying car rides, and basking in the sun. His joy is infectious, and he’s always eager to discover new things. Marty delights in his daycamp adventures, where he happily interacts and relaxes with other dogs. At home, he has a special bond with his feline foster brother and is always thrilled to see him after a day of daycamp. Marty is learning to use his crate and designated “place” as a safe haven during stressful moments, and continuing this routine in his new home will help him feel secure. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can provide Marty with the guidance he needs, you'll be rewarded with a loving, loyal companion who’s ready to become a cherished member of your family. Marty is patiently waiting for the right person to give him the forever home he’s dreaming of. Could that person be you?

Story
Hi, my name is Leah, and I am a sweet and gentle senior dog looking for a loving home to spend my golden years. Even though I am a senior, I still have a lot of love, loyalty, and enthusiasm left in me. I am quiet and curious, and I love to explore and take in all the smells around me. I am a friendly dog who is always eager to greet my human friends with wags and kisses. I am fine with other dogs. I am a bit older and need a gentle touch, so I would be best suited for a quiet home without young children. If you are looking for a sweet and gentle companion to share your life with, please consider adopting me, Leah. I promise to give you lots of love and cuddles in return for a warm and cozy home.

Story
If I look sad, it’s because I was dropped off at the shelter when my owner got sick. A couple of days after being rescued, I also got very sick. I have some kidney issues but with good veterinary care and lots of TLC I’m doing better every day. I’m a calm quiet fellow who gets along with all the pups at rescue. My personality is coming out slowly. I'm a little cautious of where I am and who's caring for me since it's been confusing to be shuttled around so much. I’m hoping to find my forever home soon.
