Story
Tootsie is a spirited and charming 10-week-old female Maltipoo mix. From the start, it was clear she was destined to lead. With her confident, strong-willed and dominant personality, Tootsie quickly became the little leader among her siblings. Her outgoing nature makes her the first to greet new friends, both human and animal alike, with an enthusiastic wag of her tail and endless amount of kisses. Tootsie has a special love for the outdoors, where she can often be found exploring, playing, and soaking up the fresh air. Tootsie is still working on her potty training and is making progress with crate training.  Young, active, small to medium breed dog in the home as well as fenced yard required. Adoption fee $650. Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. All Ruff Redemption Dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care. Rabies vaccines are given if the dog is 16 weeks of age or older.  June 23, 2024, 5:11 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Wendi and everyone that sees me wants to adopt me and although I LOVE being adored, I do have some requirements for my furever home, just like my older housemates. I'm the youngest in this group, estimated at 5, which means I need an active family that will include me in most of their activities and if there are children they need to be over 12. Just like my housemates, the age requirement is due to size and respect. I would love to have at least another small 4 legged sibling to play with but not too many others as I do like a bit of attention for myself. Don't get me wrong, I'm not active 24/7 but I'm a bit too active for retirees and I need at least a 10 year commitment because I plan on enjoying my new life as long as I can. I truly love everyone but I'd like to find my best home, furreal this time.

Story
Sea Biscuit, true to his namesake, has journeyed a rags to riches storyline and seeking his fairytale ending, happily ever after in a forever home.  If you’re looking for a lovable, social little guy must meet Biscuit.  He is very affectionate, cuddle time a favorite and will always seek out his human. He enjoys car rides, leash walks and people watching in the park, easily makes new friends.  Biscuit has a chill temperament with good level of playful energy and would enjoy having another similar sized doggie companion to share adventures sniffing around the backyard or good game of chase. Biscuit has tons of personality, will entertain himself and you with his playful antics. At 10 years old, Biscuit has proven home skills, plays with his toys, not your shoes, is housebroken, and on bad weather, rainy days will use a potty pad. Biscuit is easy to love and has many years of joy to bring to a family.  Sea Biscuit has traveled an arduous path to find happiness.  It was unimaginable this kind, gentle soul existed under the massive cocoon of matted mess rescued. His before photos of shaving would break the strongest of hearts. Biscuit harbors only an anew zest for life to enjoy each day to the fullest.  He is a healthy, 9-pound Yorkie, has been fully vetted, just had a dental and a full senior panel, all this little gent needs is a home, his storybook ending!  APPLY TO MEET or ADOPT Sea Biscuit at www.ruffdogrescue.org Please note, we receive a large number of applications. Story
Active little boy. Loves to run around in the yard. Likes to be petted. Loves to run around and play. He is only 5 pounds. So little kids probably are not too good. Big dogs are probably not too good. He would love another little dog like himself to play with. Or just a nice little yard of run in with. This young adult came to us extremely underweight. He had been left on a tie out. The tie out wrapped around his leg. The bottom, half of the leg started dying and rotting off. We had to amputate part of his leg. He is getting along just fine now. DOB __4-18-22________ Current weight __6_______ The adoption fee is __$350_________ and includes spay/neuter and veterinarian health-check, as well as up-to-date vaccinations, de-worming, flea preventative, heart worm preventative (as age appropriate) and micro chipping. As well as a 10 day good health guarantee.   Visit our website at www.SherrysCHSadoptions.com to fill out an adoption application.  Dog can be met in foster care with an approved application on file.   ##2045577##

Story
LOOKING FOR MY PERSON:  Approx. 12 years old / Approx. 13 lbs.  Hi, my name is Bessie!  I lived with my family my entire life, but their living situation changed, and they are relocating to a home where pets are not allowed.  That makes me sad, but I am so grateful that Mostly Mutts will work to help me find a new home.  I am in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I did not like the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so no dogs please. I tolerated a dog in one temp. foster home, but another temp. foster said I barked at dogs that entered the same room as me as well as those I passed on my walks, so I do not want to live with them. / My former family reported that I did not like cats and Mostly Mutts agrees. / I excitedly went after ankles of kids I met in a foster home and since I have bitten, best no kids.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a playful girl who likes toys and sometimes acts younger than my age.  I’m called a spry girl and had a blast playing with the volunteer photographer!  I’m a sweet girl who accepts affection most of the time, though I have guarding behaviors when it comes to things like my bed, treats and people.  Once I find my person, I don’t really want to share them too much. This can be a trainable situation and my trainer will be happy to talk to you.  I can be a bit temperamental and once bit my former foster mom, though I did have a urinary tract infection, so that may have had a bit to do with it. My former owner did not report any bites.  My foster said I like new people to go slow as I get to know them so, please be patient with me as I adjust to my new home and any new people I meet.  It just took a few days for me to feel comfortable with a temp. foster when my regular foster was away.  She even called me a ‘real love bug.’  Once I am settled, I am sure to show you how sweet I can be!  / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I have already learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also walk well on a leash.  My trainer at the shelter is great with the little dogs with big personalities, so ask to talk to her when setting up a meeting with me.  My former family reported that I also knew the word ‘no’ and ‘good job’ for praising me. In my former foster home, I knew the words ‘outside’ for going out, and ‘up’, for going up stairs and that I could ‘sit’ when I choose to – lol. / My crate manners were good in my former home and are good at Mostly Mutts, and it’s best that I sleep in a crate at night instead of the bed with you, as that is a time that I bit my person. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, and in my foster home.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love going for walks and playing fetch.  It was fun playing in the fall leaves too. I enjoy having my cheeks and the top of my head rubbed as well as cuddles and scratches on my back.  Playing with toys is also fun and I enjoy hanging out with my person.  I do seem to prefer women to men. / I don’t like to be picked up, so let me come to you, please.  I’m also not a fan of having my paws, tummy or rear end rubbed.  I don’t care for some men or people going too fast as I get to know them.  I don’t like dogs coming too close and alert bark at animals I see outside.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, training, and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have a congenital dropped carpus on both front legs and luxating patella on the left, but my foster didn’t even notice as I can jump and don’t have pain.  I also have a mild heart murmur that does not require any treatment currently. I’m on an inexpensive over-the-counter joint supplement which is good for all older dogs.    I am looking for a loving home for life with a dog experienced person!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 24, 2024, 6:48 am

Story
Meet Boot - a precious, 11 year old senior, male, Yorkie mix! Let's start by saying Boot is hoping to find a loving, forever family to spend his elder years with. Boot has a wonderful multi-colored coat with blonde “highlights” and the most adorable little face that will melt your heart. His current weight is 5 pounds. Boot is a healthy boy, but does have a cataract in one eye and is blind in that eye. It does not affect his daily activities in any way.   Boot is a calm and shy little dude. It takes him a little time to warm up to new people. Once he is at ease, he does get along with older and younger children, men and women, and small dogs. Boot enjoys his lap time, so don’t leave him at home alone for too long. In fact, h is perfect home would be with someone that does not work and has lots of time for him to sit on their lap.   He is working hard on his potty training, but isn’t quite there yet. He does wear a belly band at night in his crate in case of accidents. Boot has been recently neutered, which should help with his potty training. In addition, Boot’s leash training is going great. According to his foster mom, he does well on a leash, but also enjoys exploring the backyard.   So now that you have read all about this little guy named Boot, are you interested in making him part of your family? If so, fill out an application asap! How can you say no to that sweet little face? An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
