Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster homeHello, I'm Kkomi! 💛🐾 My name is Kkomi, and I'm a tiny 5-year-old girl weighing just 3.2 kg (7lbs). I may be small, but my heart is full of love, and I'm hoping to find a family to call my own.One of my favorite things in the world is food! If you have treats, you'll definitely have my attention. I'm also a very quiet girl and rarely bark, which makes me an easy and peaceful companion to have around the house. I have a gentle and sweet personality. I enjoy running around and playing when I'm feeling energetic, and I get along well with other dogs. At the same time, I'm also perfectly comfortable spending time on my own, so I could be happy as an only dog or with furry siblings.Recently, I became a mother and gave birth to seven beautiful puppies. I've worked very hard caring for them, and now it's finally my turn to be cared for and loved. My legs and walking are doing well, but after everything my body has been through, I sometimes prefer relaxing comfortably rather than standing for long periods. My tummy is still a little round from motherhood, and we'll have to see how my body continues to recover with time and good care. I've been living indoors and using potty pads, though like any dog adjusting to a new home, I may need a little patience and guidance while I learn your routine.More than anything, I'm a quiet, loving girl who is ready to leave the hard parts of life behind and discover what it feels like to be someone's cherished companion. I dream of cozy naps, gentle affection, tasty meals, and a family who will love me for the rest of my life. I've spent so much time caring for others. Now I'm hoping someone will choose to care for me. Could you be my forever family?Love,Kkomi 💛🐾

Story
Meet Truffle! This gentle sweetheart is the best little companion anyone could ask for. She is affectionate, easy-going and just darling. She loves all people though has not spent much time with younger kids. She gets along well with other dogs but is happy being the only dog in the home also.  Truffle is about 8 years old. She had very bad teeth on arrival with us so she had a thorough dental and lost quite a few teeth but she is feeling good and looking great now.  Truffle is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Disco King came into his foster home a shy, nervous little pup, and has since decided that actually, he's kind of a big deal. The Disco King, if you will. At a MASSIVE…2.5 pounds, he’s the smaller of the two brothers, which has not affected his confidence in the slightest. He runs around the house with his lamb chop stuffie in his mouth like he owns the place. It’s important we point out that there are two other identical lamb chops available; he is not interested in them. This one is his. He loves kids, is doing well with the basics, and is fine in a home with or without another dog. He appreciates his space for napping, but is happy to snuggle up with a human anytime. The King is still working on bladder control (which makes sense because he’s just a baby), but h’s making progress every day. He's also not a fan of having his paws wiped…yet (another work in progress). Bonus? He makes sounds his foster describes as guinea pig-like (do yourself a favor and look that up if you’ve never heard them!), which they describe as extremely endearing. (...duh). Disco King is a lot of personality in a very small package, and whoever gets him is going to have a lot of fun finding all of it. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Bhai is sweet, calm, and still in the process of deciding that new people are trustworthy. We get it. He’d prefer it if you let him warm up at his own pace, and not try to scoop him up before he's ready. However, once he gets comfy, he’s ready for all of the love! He loves his toys, loves playing with leaves and sticks outside, and has a best buddy he's being fostered with who he absolutely adores. He sleeps peacefully in his playpen, goes outside regularly, and has had no playpen accidents for three days running. He's still working on the indoor stuff, but the trajectory is good. If you're the type who appreciates a slow burn, Bhai is ready to not rush into anything with you -----
