Born around March 18, 2018, and weighing just 9.7 pounds, this little lady has quite the story to tell. Cupcake was found wandering alone down a deserted country road, covered in painful mats and stickers, clearly having been through a tough time. Despite everything she endured, her gentle spirit never faded. After getting the care she desperately needed—including grooming and the removal of several rotten teeth—Cupcake has made an incredible comeback and is now thriving in her new chapter. Today, Cupcake is happy, healthy, and full of life. She loves going on walks, enjoys spending time with her doggy friends, and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s also fully potty trained, both on a potty pad and during walks, making her an easy and wonderful companion. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Emmit! Emmit is a tiny 8.5-pound neutered male Yorkie with a big personality packed into a small body. Born on September 4, 2024, this little guy may look like a cuddly teddy bear—but he’s got a bit of a “grumpy old man” attitude that makes him all the more charming. When Emmit first meets new people, he likes to put on a tough act. He may grumble or growl at first, just to let everyone know he takes his personal space seriously. But don’t worry—his heart is easily won over with a few yummy treats or some delicious chicken. Once he realizes you’re a friend, his softer side comes out quickly. Emmit’s journey to rescue hasn’t been the easiest. He was picked up by animal control after being chased and harassed by adults. Understandably frightened, he would only approach children, who ultimately helped catch him safely. While at animal control, he was extremely scared and did snap out of fear, scratching an officer, which meant he had to spend time in quarantine. When we were asked to take him in, we gladly welcomed him—and he has not attempted to bite while in our care. Underneath his grumpy exterior is a little dog who really just wants to feel safe and loved. Emmit absolutely adores sitting in someone’s lap and soaking up attention once he trusts you. With patience, kindness, and a few tasty snacks, he becomes a loyal little companion. Emmit would do best with a family that understands he may need a little time to warm up and will give him the reassurance he deserves after his rough start. Spoiler alert: you're going to fall head over heels for this tiny guy. Spoiler is a Yorkie puppy with a big personality, jam-packed into a very small body, and he’s making the most of every inch. He's spunky, outgoing, and deeply committed to being wherever you are at all times. Zoomies in the yard one minute and fully passed out in your lap the next is a regular occurrence. There’s not much of a “grey area” with Spoiler…only full send, and full sleep. One of his best quirks is that when he meets someone new, he starts to tremble a tiny bit. You might think it’s fear, but you’d be wrong. He's literally so excited he can barely contain it (yes, it’s as cute as it sounds). Potty training is coming along well! He's reliable when he's outside, and the occasional indoor accident is really just the tax you pay for getting to have this much personality in your home. Plus, he’s new to the world…and this home…he’s learning, okay? Spoiler is good with dogs, cats, and kids, so he's basically compatible with any household setup you've got going on. Whatever your family looks like, Spoiler would very much like to join it. -----  A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:  ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.  ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).  ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.  The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.  Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.  Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
