Story
Ginger was first surrendered to a shelter in Texas. After making her way to us here in Washington she landed a new family. Unfortunately her human passed away and she is in need of a new furever. She does good with other dogs (prefers small ones like herself). Great with all people and is potty trained.

🐾 Meet Lizzy – The Fluff Nugget 🐾 🌟 She loves ALL things and ALL people! Lizzy is being fostered in Houston Texas with other small dogs and small children. This adorable 20 pound girl is moderately energetic, striking a perfect balance between playfulness and relaxation. 🐾 Lizzy is fantastic with her small furry friends that she is being fostered with. 🚗 Riding in the car? Lizzy doesn’t mind the car, making her a great copilot for trips to get coffee or late night ice cream runs. 💩 Potty trained? Absolutely! 🚽 🏠 Crate trained? Yes, indeed! 🛌 🐱 Lizzy has not lived with a cat, however we did cat test her and she was not interested. We can cat test her again if you have a cat! 🏡 Whether you have a yard for play or live in a condo/apartment with proper exercise, Lizzy will be fine. Ready to invite Lizzy into your heart and home? Fill out the adoption application now Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65bd25b399291ec501014dc5 Please email Jodi@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Introducing Hanz! He is a four-year-old, 17lb Yorkshire Terrier mix who came to us from a high kill shelter in CA and is currently living in a foster home. Hanz is a loving, sweet, and playful dog. He craves companionship and loves to cuddle on your lap and sleep in your bed. He walks well on a leash but will pull when he sees squirrels. He loves lots of walks and adventures and would benefit from someone with a yard to explore. He loves to play fetch. He would do best in an adult-only home or a home with older kids (teens+). He is not potty trained and will need some work in that area. He is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His fee is $500.

Story
Have you ever seen a "Dorkie"? Meet Finn , an absolutely darling Yorkie x Dachshund mix. This little man is portable, playful, current on all vax and already neutered, he is ready for anything, mostly for a new family to call his own. Finn came to us as an owner surrender due to life changes in his home, however, his family did a great job getting him to this point in his life, he is socialized and will fit in a home with or without a furry playmate, and with his size, he is a good choice for a smaller home. Finn loves to snuggle and give kisses and is a king of fetch! He is being fostered with a doodle dog and kiddos and enjoying playtime in their yard. Is Finn your new best buddy?

Story
Old man seeking retirement home… He's not a fan of the paparazzi and doesn't care if he looks good on his social media, it just isn't important to him! Prince is an older guy, with cloudy eyes, but don't be fooled- he still has a lot of life in him! He doesn’t see very well, but barks at where he thinks his humans are and once he finds their lap, he is super chill and snuggles in. He is the stereotypical lap dog! Prince is currently living in Houston, Texas and being fostered with other small dogs, male and female. He loves to play with toys and the other small yorkie. Prince is also being fostered with 2 small children who he doesn’t mind, but he is also not super interested in them either. Prince is potty trained, crate trained and quiet in the car. He hasn’t had much experience on the leash and would prefer snuggling on the couch to walks, but could do some really short walks. Prince would be a great house dog but also fine in an apartment. This boy does enjoy a good snack, so if you want to see him get vocal and excited, bring out something delicious to eat! If you can provide Sweet Prince a comfortable place to retire, please fill out the adoption application so we can put you in touch with his foster parents to see if you are a good match! Story
small, sensitive, middle aged dog in need of forever home. roughly used and mostly untrained, but resilient and adaptable. would not be great with small children or loud, overly emotive people. loves dogs, but not actually socialized. loves outdoor activities like hiking, but also likes calmly cuddling. chipped but not updated. will need a sensitive and calm environment at first. will definitely choose a favorite person in the home (not for the jealous). would make a great companion for an elder. house trained, crate trained. she's not quite sure how to do the playing thing. highly food motivated. given enough food, i feel she can adapt to anything except fat. 9 years old.
