Can be fearful at times and resource guards food/toys, so he needs a patient home.Comes with: Bed, leashes, bowls, and food.Teo is a loving, playful little dog with a big personality! He loves walks, toys, snuggling, and being with his people. He's happiest in a calm, patient home where he feels safe. He can be nervous around dogs while on leash but often enjoys the company of similar-sized dogs once comfortable. Disco King came into his foster home a shy, nervous little pup, and has since decided that actually, he's kind of a big deal. The Disco King, if you will. At a MASSIVE…2.5 pounds, he’s the smaller of the two brothers, which has not affected his confidence in the slightest. He runs around the house with his lamb chop stuffie in his mouth like he owns the place. It’s important we point out that there are two other identical lamb chops available; he is not interested in them. This one is his. He loves kids, is doing well with the basics, and is fine in a home with or without another dog. He appreciates his space for napping, but is happy to snuggle up with a human anytime. The King is still working on bladder control (which makes sense because he’s just a baby), but h’s making progress every day. He's also not a fan of having his paws wiped…yet (another work in progress). Bonus? He makes sounds his foster describes as guinea pig-like (do yourself a favor and look that up if you’ve never heard them!), which they describe as extremely endearing. (...duh). Disco King is a lot of personality in a very small package, and whoever gets him is going to have a lot of fun finding all of it. -----  A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:  ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.  ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).  ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.  The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.  Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.  Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. Masti is confident, adaptable, and has been thoroughly tested by children, loud noises, and new environments. The verdict? Nothing seems to shake him. He might try to make a run for it when you go to pick him up mid-play session (he's busy; he has things to do), but once he's in your arms, he resigns to cooperation. Not much of a negotiator. He's a snuggler at heart and will seek out his brother just to curl up next to him…even when the brother moves away, which is either very sweet or very persistent, depending on how you look at it. He'd love a family that lets him cuddle on the bed or couch, and/or another dog to snuggle with. He's vocal when he needs to go outside (good system), still uses pee pads overnight, and while he can be a little stubborn, he's smart, trainable, and his foster thinks he'd do well with pretty much any family. This little senior lady is cute as a button and fully aware of it. She loves kids, loves being doted on, and has a flair for making herself the most important presence in any room, which at her age, she has absolutely earned. Her foster family is completely in love with her. She takes a little time to warm up to new people, and has a sort of process: she'll size you up, and yeah, she may be a little nervous while she does it, but she’d like you to know that does not mean she isn’t brave. Then, she’ll decide whether or not you're worth her time. If the answer is yes, we’re told that being in Benchseat's good graces is a very nice place to be. She also has some feelings about other dogs. She doesn't hate them, but she's at a point in her life where she'd really prefer to be the only four-legged resident. The sole recipient of all the treats, the undisputed queen of the couch…the peanut butter to a Kong toy, if you will. This is not an unreasonable position for a senior dog to take, and we fully support her in it. Benchseat isn't looking for a chaotic household or to compete for attention.
