People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number of #A1818905, and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one has responded.This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love to be able to let him adjust inside a wonderful foster (or adoptive) home. Right now, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do best as the only dog.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. I adopted her at the shelter last year, but ever since, so many complaints from my neighbor about her shedding to the point that it got the attention of my landlord. She's playful with kids, my neighbor's kids loved walking her out until my other neighbor complained about her. She is also 3 years old and very gentle and clingy. She is also house trained only poops and pee's outside. Accidents happen sometimes but she is trained to do her business outside the house. Personality-wise, she's very calm and she only barks if you play with her but she doesn't regularly bark. She's very quiet. Her attitude toward other animals still needs some work due to her staying in the shelter for quite some time. She's not used to being around other dogs/cats so she gets hyper to the fact that they end up fighting. She just needs to get familiarized with the other pet and she'll calm down. My friend's dog and her went along but it took us a couple of times for them to get familiarized with each other.
