Story
Meet Hatchi! A soulful young adult Akita/Siberian Husky mix currently in Roseville, CA, whose essence is a whirlwind of energy wrapped in a majestic tricolor coat and anchored by a loyal, tender heart. Hatchi is a 90-pound oversized teddy bear who’s still adjusting to life with only one working eye, the result of stabilized glaucoma. Though he may see shadows, sudden movements can startle him, especially during walks. Because of this, he thrives with a confident, experienced caregiver who can help him feel grounded and secure. Hatchi is strong on leash and reactive to dogs, cats, bikes, and cars that pass by, so he needs someone who’s comfortable working with large breeds and understands the power of positive reinforcement and patient training. Despite his reactivity, Hatchi is a sweet, snuggly companion at heart. He melts into affection and is eager to please, especially when treats are involved! This intelligent boy responds to his name, is crate trained, house-trained, and has lived harmoniously with young children aged 7 and 8. He may do well with a calm, female dog companion but would not be compatible with cats. Daily life with Hatchi includes administering eye drops, which he’ll need for the rest of his life. Thankfully, his love of treats makes this task pretty manageable. A fenced yard is essential, not because he’s tried to escape, but because his Husky instincts and natural curiosity make outdoor safety a must. Hatchi is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, and he’s ready to embark on a new chapter filled with love, structure, and confidence-building. His sensitive nature means he looks to his human for reassurance, and with the right support, he has the potential to blossom into a truly remarkable companion! Whether you’re curled up on the couch or working on training together in the yard, Hatchi will be right by your side, ready to soak up your affection and offer his loyalty in return. Could you be the guiding heart Hatchi needs to help him thrive? If you’re interested in providing Hatchi with a loving home, please email meetme@joyfulpets.com for more information about adopting him. Please note that Hatchi is currently in foster care through one of our trusted rescue partners and will remain with his foster family until the right match is found. Because rescue-partner pets are managed directly by their respective organizations, their adoption process, requirements, and fees may differ from Joyful Pets’ direct rehoming program. Our team will be happy to connect you with the rescue and help guide you through their process to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Story
💙 Name: Hodol 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 3 months old (born in August 2025) 💙 Weight: 3.2 kg / 7 kg 💙 Adogs Center Updates: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neuter: Incomplete. * Others: Microchipped, being treated for canine coronavirus and giardiasis. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Hodol was living at the Gimje City Shelter. He was waiting at the shelter with a smile on his face despite the weather getting colder, but no one stepped up to adopt him. The shelter had poor conditions, with infectious diseases spreading and poor heating, so Adogs urgently rescued him. 3⃣ Basic Information ❗️As a puppy, he may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling and barking. ❗️It is difficult to predict his shedding and growth size because his parents are unknown. * With People: Is a little shy but is docile and stays in your arms when picked up. Once he becomes familiar with someone, he wags his tail like a helicopter and runs around happily just seeing them come near. * With Dogs: Plays well with the other dogs at our center. * With Cats: Hasn’t met cats yet. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown, since he’s living in a group setting at our center. Will need training from scratch. * Potty Training: Does fairly well with potty pads. May need to be re-trained in a new environment. * Walks: Hasn’t been on walks since his vaccinations aren’t complete. * Car Sickness: Didn’t show signs of car sickness on short-distance rides. * Biting: Has not bitten. However, he may nibble or chew since he’s still a teething puppy. * Barking: Sometimes whines a bit if he seems someone outside his kennel. * Likes: Has a great appetite and loves food. * Dislikes: Although he is docile when picked up, he seems a bit uncomfortable with it since he yawns (a sign that a dog isn’t comfortable).

Story
Bonded with Batgirl (A136383). Barely a #shelterselfie with another bonded pair Echelon (blonde, M) and Batgirl (fuzzy, F).They are both aged at 8yrs old, and share the energy of having nothing to prove to anyoneanymore (Hazzah to that!). They both loved making new friends and using their time in the yard to get pets from any available hands. They exude happiness and love and absolutely find safety in being with each other. Batgirl is a bit goofier and more curious, with Echelon being a bit more chill and casual, but equally determined to get some attention. They`ll do well in just about anyhome environment, and don`t need a ton of exercise to be happy. Some long walks and an occasional bout of play is about all they`ll need. Echelon has some very classic `dog` goodlooks. Batgirl looks a bit like a very skilled drawing come to life. They`re both incredibly sweet and fun and will be excellent buddies to watch TV on the couch with at the end of every day. These hard to resist fluff balls will make any family more complete- so if that sounds good toyou, head into #burbankanimalshelter and meet this dynamite duo for yourself!

Story
This young guy is super fun and a total looker. He’s an athlete for sure….. he just may not know the rules of the game….. but he’s super up to learn! He is really friendly and eager to play, but also just loves getting attention (treats are good too) and knowing what was going on. He seems to be an Akita mix and definitely has that Akita attentiveness. He’s a nice mid size (much smaller than a standard Akita) and has a medium level of fluff. He will need regular brushing to maintain that fluff, and regular exercise to manage his play level. In return, he will be your absolute bestie forever! You will never have a better bestie than him! You also will have a dog photo for any occasion at the ready on your camera roll cuz you’re gonna take so many pictures of this heartbreaker. Tonga will need some basic training and a nice consistent walk/ exercise/play routine. From Tonga`s Day Hike Foster on 9/15/25Tonga was great today. Like Stacie said, he’s a little wild at first but calms down. He seemed to enjoy the car ride. He loved all the scents on the hike and loved leaving his own scent in return! We saw a deer and he didn’t freak out. We walked past several other dogs and he was slightly reactive to the first but then was much calmer as we passed the others later in the hike. He was easy on leash. These are the best of the pictures that I got. from hike in Oct 2025Holy smokes, what a fantastic dog! Tonga is a great little buddy. Get him out of the shelter and he shines. He sniffs and pulls and pees on everything (`I`m peeing in nature, y`all!`), but once he realizes that this is a walk that will last more than 20 minutes, he hits a dignified stride. Tonga is incredibly smart, and I suspect he knows more words than the average 5 year old. He pulled a lot, especially early on, but he is an obedient dog and eventually mellowed out. He is a playgroup all star, and this showed throughout the 2-hour plus walk. He was not reactive to other dogs, was chill with people, and didn`t lunge at cyclists (like a certain lady I know). I decided to trust him to enter Romancing the Bean for a coffee, and I held onto the traffic loop to be safe (`You are peeing in this cafe over my dead body!`). No issues at all. He seems to understand that good boys do not urinate inside and he is most definitely a good boy.11/26/25 075800- Kelly took Tonga out on a walk. -SR

Story
Poppy was found abandoned in terrible condition in a remote desert area. After a trip to the groomer, we discovered Poppy is sweet, smart, sassy, and a bit stubborn. She has a calm and gentle temperament, is affectionate, funny, and really likes people. She likes meeting other dogs and is obsessed with cats. Because Poppy is a dominant dog, we recommend she be an only dog, or adopted by people who have experience with that disposition. Poppy is crate trained.
