People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number of #A1818905, and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one has responded.This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love to be able to let him adjust inside a wonderful foster (or adoptive) home. Right now, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do best as the only dog.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). If you have a dog that needs a playmate, than Django would be perfect for you. He loves to run in the yard, play fetch, or chase or whatever else your dog would love to do. Django loves every dog he meets! This handsome boy is part Husky, and we think a little Lab or Shepherd mixed in. Have you seen his ears? Adorable! Django is quite stunning with one blue eye and one brown eye. He is house trained, healthy, neutered and fully vaccinated. Django is about a year and a half old and weighs 65 lbs. Because he has a lot of energy, no small children or elderly adopters. Django needs a dog playmate and would do best in a home with a yard, or with a very active family. If you'd like a dog to jog or hike with, Django is ready to go! Like all young dogs, Django will need training. We need a foster or forever home in the Southern California area.
