We acquired Kingston from a friend of mine when he was just 6 weeks old. My wife and I live in Orange California and just recently had our son who is now 5 months old. Between our son and work (24 hour shift schedule) we are unable to give Kingston the attention that he needs from us as owners. We would love to keep him but we see no other option than to find him a new home. He’s a sweet dog, who’s very energetic, loves to play and go on very long walks. His shots are up to date. He is very good around our nieces and nephews and has never shown aggression towards anyone, adults or kids. He’s an amazing dog who deserves an amazing home.

This is a very difficult decision and I want to make sure he goes to the right home.He is:• Calm and relaxed when home alone• Energetic and social with people he knows• Healthy with no known medical issues• Loyal, alert, playful, and intelligentHe would do best in a home that:• Has experience with large or primitive breeds (Akita, Jindo, etc.)• Has secure, high fencing (he is an escape risk)• Has no other pets (or very careful separation setup)• Does not have small children• Can provide structure, consistency, and supervision outdoorsImportant:• He is not neutered• He has shown escape behavior, so secure containment is essential• This is not a beginner dog or an apartment dog• He needs someone who understands strong, independent breeds

Meet Provolone the cheese tax collector! Provolone is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people and warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. He came to the shelter through the 3rd Chance Program and is ready to find a loving home of his own. He’s reportedly crate trained and housebroken, and would thrive with a consistent routine and positive reinforcement training. Provolone can be strong on leash and is looking for a family that can continue helping him polish his walking skills. Provolone prefers calm, respectful interactions and would do best in the a home with older children that can appreciate his company without being too overbearing for him. He could use a bit of help with his dog to dog social skills so he`d be best as a single dog home kind of guy or with someone who is experienced with introducing dogs to one another appropriately.
