Story
Meet Joy🩷 Joy is the sweetest pup! She is gentle and adorable and steals everyone’s heart. * Toward People: Loves everyone regardless of age or gender! Is a charming sweetheart who wags her tail to greet even strangers. Keeps porking her head in to be petted because she loves to be caressed. Is so gentle that she gets startled and immediately takes a hand out that accidentally ends up in her mouth when she is playing. * Toward Dogs: Gets along well with her best friend Mansoo #AdogsMansoo, with whom she shares kennel. Greets other dogs nicely whom she encounters while out for walks. However, because she tends to play a bit rough, it is important to keep an eye on her when she meets other dogs in an off-leash area. * Separation Anxiety: Is unknown since she is staying in group at the Adogs Center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty in the Cener. *Hygiene: Behaves well during baths. * Walks: Is adept at walking side by side with a walker, without pulling on the leash. 💗 * Car sickness: None. 💌Special Note💌 * Mastered commands like "sit" and "shake hands"!

Story
I'm reaching out to find a new, loving home for my dog, Leo. He's an amazing dog with a super chill vibe. Most of the time, you'll find him lounging around the house, just enjoying the quiet life. But don't get me wrong, he's not lazy – just relaxed. Leo has been through some pretty cool training at the Long Beach animal shelter. There, he learned how to help calm other animals down. And he's smart too – he knows better than to get mixed up with the more aggressive types. Even though Leo's a bigger dog, he's really gentle and loves his walks and playtime. He's got this adorable way of asking to go outside when he needs to – either with a soft growl or by coming up to you directly. It's his way of communicating, and it works really well. Leo's just a fantastic dog, and he's got this calming presence and enjoys checking things out. He's not the kind of dog that's bouncing off the walls with energy. So, if that's what your looking for he's perfect. I

Story
Sammy IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-18-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Sammy, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22667&name=SammySammy was found wandering alone, wearing a black harness attached to a white leash. People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number of #A1818905, and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one has responded. This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love to be able to let him adjust inside a wonderful foster (or adoptive) home. Right now, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do best as the only dog.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.April 18, 2024, 6:07 am

Story
Meet Wolf 🩶 This handsome 2 years old Husky mix weighs around 66 lbs. Wolf showed up on the front lawn of his foster parents one month ago. He had a clean coat, with freshly trimmed nails, but unaltered and no microchip. Wolf was immediately friendly and submissive to their dogs, and so he was invited into the backyard. His intelligence and mellow temperament allowed him to be part of the pack immediately, and he was invited into the house. His stray hold is officially up and he’s ready to find a forever family to call his own! Wolf loves to show off his manners. He when left alone in the house, he displays no signs of separation anxiety. He responds well to corrections. He understands ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ very well. He will ‘come’ most times when called although he can be stubborn with this, and will need continued training for recall work before considering any off leash adventure. Wolf isn’t reactive to cats or children. During walks, he wants to meet every dog he sees. He is a social butterfly! Wolf will thrive in a household that treats dogs like family members. Like other working breeds, he needs a lot of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection. He loves to work for treats. Potential owners should research the temperament of huskies. Wolf is mellow for a husky but he is still a large northern breed canine that will be his best self with a human that has a calm and assertive energy. Wolf loves the beach and does not pull at all on the sand. He is great at fetch, and your heart will melt watching him run and play. He is driven by affection and being a good member of the pack. Wolf is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Story
Meet Jameson! This 11 months old Border Collie/Husky mix is ready to find his forever home. Jameson is described as a very curious and sweet pup. While he can be a little shy at first, it’s not hard to win his heart over. Just give him lots of treats and endless head scratches! He gets comfortable very quickly and becomes a goofy pup who loves to sleep with his belly up and paws in the air. He already knows some basic commands like sit, down, off and up. Like most younger dogs, he’s still learning his manners with proper play techniques. He likes a rough play style, but his fosters are working hard to socialized him so he can play with dogs of all energy levels. Jameson sleeps in a kennel through the night. In his short time in his foster home, he’s almost completely mastered potty training. He has an occasional accident, but we think he’ll be fully trained soon. Jameson had no leash manners, but with some modifications and training, he is already improving quickly. He would benefit from a home that wants to continue his ongoing training to help him become the best version of himself. Jameson’s ideal home would have a house with a yard so he can run around and be silly. No yard? It’s not a deal breaker! He just needs daily walks and adventures in the outside world. Jameson would love to live in a home with another dog friend who he can learn from. He loves to mimic behaviors and learn by their guidance. He is a super special pup who is ready to find his forever family. Does it sound like it could be you? Apply to adopt him at wishbonela.org
