Story
CHARLESTON IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN. CHARLESTON WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    This hunk is Charleston. He is a four year old Bulldog mix. He is the sweetest fun loving goofball. He is a big boy who loves attention. He wants you to pet him, and he wants to lean into you with his whole body. He does not meet a stranger in a person or dog. He loves playing in the backyard with his toys, and then lounging on the porch sunbathing. He gets excited to go anywhere. He will run to the door and wait for you to let him out- then he jumps right in the car. This adorable boy has the most stunning eyes. We believe Charleston has some hearing loss. He seems to hear some pitches, but either doesn’t hear the others or ignores them. He does good walking on a leash, is kennel trained, and house trained. He loves greatly- he will become your shadow. If he wants your attention he will whine/talk to you to let you know. Charleston is a big boy with still a lot of puppy energy so a home with older children would be best. This guy is amazing, and deserves the perfect forever home! He is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.  His adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Charleston up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Charleston  here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 30, 2024, 1:38 pm

Story
*** AUGGIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED! *** Introducing Augustus, or Auggie for short. Auggie is a handsome and incredibly sweet 5.5-month-old with an abundance of skin and long, floppy ears that are sure to thaw even the coldest of hearts. He may be the "shy guy" of his litter, but his timidity quickly fades, particularly when treats are involved in the introduction.  Auggie is 100% puppy, goofy, clumsy (still trying to master the use of his large thump-thumps), and absolutely adorable.  He is currently being raised in his foster home with his two litter mates, Autumn & Artie, along with his five foster brothers & sis. He eats in a group setting (no issues with food aggression or resource guarding), patiently waits for treats, not a barker (but will grunt if dinner is not served quick enough & its ADORABLE), he has excellent listening skills and takes correction VERY well.   His favorite pastimes include eating, playing tug of war, chasing his siblings and bugs (occasionally a spicy fly), following his human around, and napping. Auggie holds the esteemed titles of Nap & Cuddle King in our home, and he takes these roles very seriously. He is trained for the kennel and leash and is almost completely housebroken. I believe Auggie would flourish as either a single pet or as a member of a multi-pet household. Now is the ideal time to welcome this sweet boy into your life as your personal sidekick or as a new addition to your family pack. He is keen to please and highly trainable. In short, he's perfect. His $600 adoption fee covers full veterinary care, including spay/neuter, microchipping, rabies vaccination, and all initial puppy vaccinations, as well as transportation to CT via a certified USDA transport service, ensuring Auggie arrives safely to his new family.     Should you have any inquiries, please contact us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com, or you may reach out to Auggie's foster directly at justshootpics@gmail.com. Additionally, if you wish to apply for Auggie's adoption, please follow the link: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net . THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 30, 2024, 1:38 pm

Story
Life can be funny sometimes. 8 weeks ago, my husband and I moved to Maine after selling our house in MA. 2 weeks later after moving to Maine, he passed away unexpectedly and suddenly. My life has been turned upside down and I am no longer able to care for my two ABs. If you can help and take this kind chill pup to your home and give him a life he deserves.

Story
Meet our very handsome fella named Mike Tyson! He is about 4 years old and we are told he is an American Bulldog. Mike Tyson has spent a good amount of time living in and out of hotel rooms. He was surrendered to us because his owner was no longer able to provide a housing situation to keep both themselves and Mike Tyson safe. Mike Tyson was very loved by his owner and they did care for him to the best of their abilities. He is a very friendly boy who just wants to get attention from his people. He is a large boy, but he is a big baby who whines for attention and just wants to cuddle under a blanket. We are looking for a home that has experience with large dogs for Mike Tyson to go to. At this time, we are also looking for a home where he can be the only dog. Mike Tyson can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Mike Tyson, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

Story
Introducing May, a resilient and courageous dog who has overcome great adversity in her life. For several months, May found herself wandering the streets, facing the challenges of survival on her own. During this time, she endured a prolapsed vagina, a painful condition that required urgent medical attention. Though people in the neighborhood attempted to help her, her fear and mistrust kept her at a distance. Fortunately, fate intervened when one of our compassionate fosters caught sight of May and recognized the urgency of her situation. With a clever plan involving fries as bait, May was coaxed close enough to be safely captured. Immediately, she was taken to the veterinary clinic, where she underwent surgery to repair her injury. May is now ready for a new chapter in her life, filled with endless love, security, and happiness. If you're searching for a quiet and affectionate canine companion who will steal your heart with a single smile, look no further than May. Come and meet her, and witness the incredible transformation she has undergone. May is waiting with open paws to bring joy and warmth into your life. If May May sounds like she might be the right match for you, or if you want to check out more of our wonderful pets for adoption, please visit ffpets.org to read all about our TN-based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit your application The adoption fee is $300 and transport is an additional $200 This pet is currently in a foster home in TN and will be transported north after the adoption is complete.
