Story
Marco is a 2.5 year old Bulldog mix. This handsome boy is striking to look at with his deep red coat and his different colored eyes! Not only is Marco a looker, he is also a lover! This boy has lots of energy and affection to give. He loves to run around and play, hardly ever wanting to sit still! Marco likes just about everyone he meets! We have not seen Marco with other dogs, so we would suggest a meet-n-greet if you have another dog in the home. Marco did meet a child recently and he did well, but he is very high energy and might knock small children over. Marco gives sweet kisses and would make an excellent addition to a family who loves those high energy and affectionate bully breeds.  Marco was an absolute blast to take around town - from climbing into Anna's lap at Underground Books, obsessively drinking the shower water all during his bath, sitting for treats, hanging half his body out of the car window, and all around bringing a smile to everyone's face. Marco's happy energy is contagious, and this crazy goober deserves a home with lots and lots of joy and love after his long year at the shelter. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Chien Po is a 1.5 year old Bully mix who came to us with his brothers Yoa and Ling! If you are a Disney fan, you might recognize where these guys got their names from... the goofy trio from Mulan! This is because, like those characters, these boys are silly, charismatic, and lots of fun to be around! Chien Po is the biggest of the siblings. He is usually smiling and ready to greet the day with a very happy outlook on life! Being a young, large breed dog, Chien Po has a lot of energy and will need to find a family who is either active or has a big yard for him to play in! While he did come in with his brothers, we are unsure how he would do with other dogs, so we always suggest a meet-n-greet if you have other dogs in the home. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. This is because, like those characters, these boys are silly, charismatic, and lots of fun to be around! Ling is the smallest of the siblings, but not by much. When Ling came to us, he was the more timid of the three, but he has come out of his shell quite well here! Story
Dallas is a 3.5 year old Bulldog/Lab mix. This sweet boy is all play, all of the time! Dallas has a lot of energy and loves running around in the yard! He enjoys walks, but does pull a bit when he gets excited. Dallas loves to run; he'd probably do pretty great at running a marathon! Because of this, he will need to find a family who is active or one that has a fenced in back yard for him to play in. We suggest Dallas with older children because he doesn't realize how big he is and might knock the little ones down. Poor Dallas has been here since November of 2022 waiting for his perfect family. He gets overlooked because he is black and white, but the color of his fur has nothing to do with how much love he can give! With the right family, we know Dallas will shine! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Chopper is a 2.5 year old American Bulldog mix. This big, fat-headed, goofy boy has so much love to give to anyone willing to fall in love with him! We do not know if Chopper has lived with other dogs, but he usually gets along with most of the dogs in the cages beside him. Chopper gives big, sloppy kisses and loves to cuddle! This big boy is about 80 lbs of pure love and affection. We think Chopper would love to find a home where he can enjoy both a big yard and a comfy couch! While we think Chopper would probably love children, he does not realize his size and would probably knock small children down by accident. Chopper loves to wag his tail but be careful, he will get so excited that he slaps you with it!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Great Dane/American Bulldog Gender: Male Estimated Date of Birth: April 15, 2012 Size:  85lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING STONE Stone was originally adopted from Douglas County Animal Control when he was a small pup. That family gave him to another family, who then gave him to a third family, and he ended up a Fulton County Animal Control. He was next in line to get put to sleep at the shelter and we were able to pull him on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. ABOUT STONE Stone is a giant. Our best guess is that he’s a Great Dane/American Bulldog mix. He is a big, playful goof and he loves toys … although he has not quite learned to bring them back to you. Stone does not understand his size or strength. It is very clear that a lack of basic obedience and being dumped several times in his formative years has affected him immensely. Stone is not very trusting of new people. He takes time to warm up and can be rather intimidating due to his size and behavior. He is reactive when in public to people and other dogs. Once he trusts you, you are part of his inner circle and he will show you his true personality. His true personality shines … he is fun loving, sweet, and silly. Because his previous owners simply dumped him off onto the next family, he lacked all leadership and guidance in his formative years so he does not know what behavior is acceptable and what is not. Stone does jump up on people and could benefit from some serious obedience training. He is reactive on leash in public and will require a strong owner. Stone also has trust issues and insecurities with strangers due to his previous life experiences. He will require a 6 foot privacy fence and a strong, experienced owner that is willing to take the time to get to know him and work with him on obedience. Due to his size and behavioral concerns, we do not recommend Stone for a home with children. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.www.savingpitbulls.orgApril 30, 2024, 6:37 pm
