AN ACTIVE & WONDERFUL FRIEND: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi, my name is Wilson!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the volunteers, who take great care of me, but nothing will beat a home and family of my own.  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and in my foster home and I like them a lot – so much so that my trainer uses me to help other pups learn how to play! I’m an excitedly vocal player, so if you have dogs at home already that wouldn’t mind this, let’s meet! / We all agree that I should not live with cats.  I have shown a prey drive on my walks towards squirrels and other small animals; however, I was friendly with the >10 lb. chihuahua neighbor dog in my foster home.  / I have met several children of various ages with my foster and have done well with them, accepting pets while displaying my calm and affectionate nature.  If you have kids at home, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly, fun, and happy guy with a playful, goofy, and sweet personality who is full of love.  I have so much happy enthusiasm to share, and I did great during my bath, too - I even drank from the sprayer and handed out kisses.  I’m a chatty, vocal player who loves to “talk” while I play with both people and other dogs. It’s just my sweet way of letting you know I’m having fun!  I’m a loving, affectionate boy who can’t wait to brighten your days.  I’ll need some time to adjust to my new home and will likely make a little noise until I know that I’m home and have settled in, so best no apartment. / Energy Level: 7-9. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / The crate is not my favorite place, so I do some whining in there.  In my foster home, I’m crated when my foster leaves the house and I sleep in a doggie bed in my foster’s bedroom overnight./ My potty habits are good in my foster home, where I’ve learned to ring a bell on the door to let my foster know when I need to go. If she doesn’t come quick enough, I’ll go running around the house looking for her! • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing with toys, especially tennis balls, and I never say no to a peanut butter treat, pup cup, or bully stick.  I’ve destuffed a few toys and shredded a blanket, so please just watch me with these items.  Chin scratches are the best, and they always make my tail wag!  I enjoy hikes and visiting craft festivals / farmers markets with my foster where I have not minded the crowds.  I look to my foster for permission to hop onto the couch.  Once she gives it, I love to cuddle and snuggle with her.  At the end of the day, being with my people is really what I’m after.  / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I recently started 2 inexpensive stress/anxiety medications to help with some mild separation anxiety that I’m experiencing.  Hopefully I will no longer need it once I’ve settled into my new home. I’m a wonderful pup looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 14, 2026, 7:41 pm

A SWEET, PLAYFUL SENIOR FELLOW:  Approx. 9 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi there, I’m Roy! I came to Mostly Mutts after finding myself at animal control - I don’t remember how I ended up there, but I’m so grateful to be safe and well cared for now. When I arrived, it was clear that I had been neglected for years as I had thin fur and some skin issues, I needed a dental cleaning and had infected ears and sore eyes. I needed bloodwork, which I received thanks to a generous grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization. I’m feeling and looking much better and ready for my next chapter! I even got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program and had a good time! I’m a sweet, hopeful guy who’s excited about the future and dreaming of a loving home and family that will take wonderful care of me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and like to interact a little with the more mellow dogs and I’ve been enjoying going for walks alongside my doggie friends at the shelter, so if you have a nice more mellow dog at home, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no very young kids that I may bump over or that may pull on my ears as they are sensitive or hug me which I may see as restraint.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a friendly, super playful, and smart guy who’s sweet as can be and truly a very good boy. I’ve been a calm, loving senior with great manners who listens well (and does best with gentle and kind words) and enjoys being close to the nice volunteers. I get spurts of energy that are so fun. I’m especially good for my medicated showers - I stay calm and sweet, even lifting my paws for massages and rinsing. A walk-in shower with a sprayer is just my style as I don’t want to get in a tub, and I enjoy the gentle massage that comes with it. / Energy Level: 4-6.       • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for all their rescue dogs. / My crate manners have been good, though I don’t seem to really need a crate. / I’m doing well with my potty manners on the shelter schedule and did well in the prison/foster training program, and a temp. foster home I visited, too.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love spending time with the nice volunteers, playing with my toys (and I’ll happily drop them for a treat!), and getting scratches - I can never get enough!  I’m a big fan of tough toys since I tend to make quick work of the soft ones, but that’s okay because the hard toys are my absolute favorites anyway!  I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we will enjoy doing together in my new home. / I am skittish when anyone uses harsh words or corrections with me, so I want a kind and gentle family that’s more about positive reinforcement.  I’m not a fan of those pesky eye drops.  I also don’t like to be restrained during my vetting, so I wear a muzzle to help things go smoothly, and my trainer is helping me build confidence and comfort with it.  Otherwise, like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.   • MEDICAL:  I’m current on my annual vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. I also had a thorough dental cleaning, so my mouth is fresh and healthy again!  I experience dry eyes from time to time, but I’m not a fan of receiving eyedrops.  I arrived with chronic-untreated ear infections. I’ve had several rounds of cleaning and medications, but this will likely be an ongoing condition due to the past neglect. I’ll need my family to stay proactive about my ear care, which will include some sedated treatments - just ask for more details. I’m currently receiving weekly medicated baths and taking fish oil supplements as my skin and coat continue to improve, and those baths can easily be continued at home in a shower setting. I also take an allergy/itch medication called Zenrelia to help keep my skin comfortable.           I’m a wonderful fellow looking to soak up the good life with a kind and gentle family and to be well taken care of and loved. My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 14, 2026, 7:41 pm

AN ACTIVE & FUN FRIEND:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 44 lbs. Hi, I’m Victor!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am very happy about that!  I loved the attention from the volunteers while I was at Mostly Mutts and now, I love being in a wonderful foster home!  I was also previously selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot! Now I am ready for my ‘happily ever after’  with my new family.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and do not like them, so I’d like to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I met a nice boy and a girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and I was a bit all over them in a happy & excited way – being a bit mouthy and chasing them when they ran, so kids 15+ may be a better match for me.  Let’s meet!  Also, it would be best if kids do not walk me due to my strength and dislike for other dogs. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am an active and fun guy with a friendly and playful demeanor.  My affectionate nature has charmed the volunteers, and they refer to me as ‘a super sweet boy’.  In fact, my whole-body wags with excitement when I know it’s my turn to spend time with them.  Now that I’m in a foster home, of course I love it when my foster spends time with me, too, and when he’s away, he turns the TV on for me, which I seem to enjoy!  My foster is helping me to rest and heal some leg challenges (please see medical below for information).  I’ve been a very good boy for bathtime, calm as can be, soaking up all the one-on-one time and my bather says I have the most beautiful eyes.  I can get a little mouthy when I’m excited, and that playful behavior has occasionally resulted in some unintentional, never-to-be-mean skin grabs – so having a toy or ball to give me helps with that.  I’m very easy to redirect, and the trainers will happily show you the techniques that work with me.  Social, loving and energetic describes me very well. / My energy level has been high at 6-8+ at the shelter, however it’s a bit lower in my foster home as they are helping me to be calmer so my legs can get a rest.  I’m more relaxed/chill than when at the shelter, though still a very active dog.    • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my gentle leader as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  I also know some silly commands such as ‘bang bang’ and I ‘play dead’. Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts as well as in my foster home.  When my foster is away, I stay in a bedroom with my crate door open so I can go in and out of it. / I had good potty habits in the off-site training program, while at MM, and in my foster home, too, so yay me!  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I absolutely love going for car rides and would be the best travel buddy – I think I could ride all day and I’m so happy that my foster takes me for several car rides every day while I rest a bit to work on my leg challenges!   I also love playing tug o’ war, though watch for my regrip as I don’t want to accidentally get your hand.  Toys are super fun, so let’s have a variety to play with together.  I love people and enjoy just about any activity with them. Affectionate and loving, I also put energy into giving kisses, cuddles and happy tail wags, and I’m a big fan of belly rubs and playing with balls, rope toys and bones.  I loved to get my energy out by playing with tennis balls in the play yard with the volunteers at the shelter, but I’m taking a little break from that currently.  Cheese and peanut butter make for some yummy snacks!  / I don’t care for other dogs, sirens, aerosol sprays or thunder (but the vacuum and hairdryer noises don’t bother me) and I’m not too sure about motorcycles passing so perhaps a quieter walking area would be nice.  I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I’m on an allergy medication called Zenrelia. I have luxating patellas and have now been diagnosed with torn CCLs in my rear legs and some hip dysplasia.  I’ve been evaluated for corrective surgery, by an Orthopedic Surgery specialist and they do not believe I’m a good candidate for the multiple and very complex surgeries, and extensive crate restrictions that would be needed, so it’s being managed medically for the best quality of life for me and it’s going well.  I’m on a few medications for this (just ask for details about me and the medications).  My mobility is perfectly normal some days and limping/limited other days but is very manageable – just ask!    I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 14, 2026, 7:41 pm

A FRIENDLY & ACTIVE PAL:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 36 lbs. Hello, I’m Rockette! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m so happy to be part of the family! I’ve had lots of fun with the wonderful volunteers, and I was even selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training program, where I learned so much. I was adopted for a short time, but my young dog mouthiness was a bit much for them, so I’m looking for a dog-savvy home that enjoys training and helping young dogs grow into their best selves. I can’t wait to find my perfect family and start my happily-ever-after!      • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked playing with them!  So, if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / Kids 15+ would be the best fit for me since I am mouthy, so if you have kids that age or older – perhaps dog experienced, let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly, playful, and very active girl with a sweet personality, and a great smile to match! I’m a lot of dog with plenty of energy, lots of love to give, and I’m always ready to be part of the fun. I’m a kiss-giver who looks to my people for direction and reassurance, making me a loving and attentive companion. I would do best with a dog-savvy family who can help me continue learning appropriate ways to channel my enthusiasm. Sometimes I see side-to-side movements, like mopping or leaf blowing, as an invitation to play and may get a bit mouthy—even if your back is turned—so I’ll need guidance and redirection to help me make good choices. I also appreciate it when new friends let me approach as I just need a moment to warm up, and then my sweet, affectionate personality shines through. I’m ready for a family who enjoys an active, fun-loving companion and will help me continue to grow into the wonderful dog I’m meant to be! / Energy level: 6-8, so let’s be active together. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training together, as there are more classes we can take with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts, and I come out ready to go and have some fun – and a little excitedly mouthy!  I would not want to spend a lot of time in a crate in my new home as I’m too active for that. / My potty habits have been good at Mostly Mutts and were good on the off-site training program schedule, too, and being crated in the evenings helps set me up for success so there are not overnight accidents.  • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love going for walks, exploring on nature adventures with my people, splashing in streams, and running joyful zoomies in the play yard! I also enjoy car rides, playing with toys, getting ear scratches, and spending time with the nice volunteers. An active family that loves the outdoors and spending engaging time with me would be a good match! / I wouldn’t be happy in a home that I didn’t get enough active exercise and good leadership and like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a fun and active girl looking for a wonderful family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 14, 2026, 7:41 pm

A WONDERFUL GIRL:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi I’m Wanda!  I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a home!  Thankfully, they took me in, and I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I heard them say that I’m now ready to find a family of my very own.  I’m very excited about that, so plan to come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met a couple of kids at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have kids around 10 years old, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a playful, super friendly, and energetic girl with a sweet personality and an adorable face to match! The volunteers also report that I’m loving and they think I may be quite the people pleaser because I enjoy being close to my humans and soaking up attention.  I was wonderfully relaxed during my bath and even leaned into my bather for extra affection.  When I want attention, I have the cutest little whine that’s sure to melt hearts.  With my smart, loving nature and happy spirit, I’m ready to be a wonderful companion. / Energy level: 5-7.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘stay’, ‘come’, and ‘drop it’ commands and I look forward to learning more.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I’m doing alright in my crate, but it’s not my favorite place to spend time. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule.         • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love affection and enjoy both receiving and giving it!  Spending time with the volunteers is one of my favorite things, whether we're cuddling, hanging out, or just enjoying each other's company.  I also like toys and having fun with the people around me. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.

Story
This beautiful lady with the soulful eyes is Eliza! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 4/1, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. The volunteers have enjoyed getting to know Eliza and describe her as an easygoing, friendly girl. She is quite intelligent and responds to several voice and hand signals for sit, stay, and down. Eliza is also gentle walking on leash. If Eliza sounds like the very good girl you've been searching for, please come meet her today! Eliza is approximately 1 year old, and weighs 62 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Eliza is waiting in kennel 877; her ID # is 17949. A SWEET DOGGIE FRIEND: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 32 lbs. Hi there, I’m Harvey! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control along with another friend, and I’m so happy to be safe and loved while I wait for my forever family. I just went into a foster home, so we’ll be learning even more about me soon—but for now, just know that I’m already feeling grateful, hopeful, and excited for this new chapter! ·   OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I came in with a dog friend and have met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. ·   PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a sweet, handsome boy with a gentle personality and a loving heart. I can be a little shy and timid when I first meet new people or experience new things, but my friendly nature quickly shines through. I was just a little nervous for my bath, but I stayed calm and sweet, even politely lifting each paw for rinsing like a good boy. I’m a gentle companion who’s ready to continue building trust with a family who will appreciate my sweet nature. / Energy level: 4-6.    ·   SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I've mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule.   ·   LIKES/DISLIKES: I’m still learning that I’m safe and loved, so I’m taking my time discovering new things. I’m sure with patience and kindness, we’ll find plenty of things we enjoy together! / Other than being rushed into new situations or new relationships, like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. ·   MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m a sweet fellow looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 14, 2026, 7:41 pm

Story
A SUPER FRIENDLY GIRL:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi, my name is Nora!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  I’ve been through a lot and am looking forward to finding my new family with Mostly Mutts’ help.  I needed to have my tail amputated to get relief from the pain of happy tail.  Also, I am heartworm positive.  The good news is my tail amputation is behind me, and I have been treated for heartworms and am in my recovery period now.  I am excited for the life that awaits me in a happy, loving home!  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was very talkative, but not aggressive, so if you have a nice doggie at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a smart girl who is ‘super curious and a lover of attention’.  I’m a ‘people dog’ who is playful and happy.  I can be a little vocal in the shelter environment when I'm in my little room, but once I settled into the prison/foster training program, I relaxed and became much quieter. With a consistent routine and a comfortable environment, I show off my calm and easygoing personality!  I am ready to be a great companion to a wonderful family.  I have a little bit of ‘stranger danger’ when I see people wearing dark clothing, though I never show any aggression.  / Energy level:  3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners were good in the off-site training program.  The trainers have found that I don’t really need one and enjoy sleeping outside of it overnight.  / My potty habits were good in the off-site training program.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to give and receive affection – collecting snuggles and leaning in for a nice hug.  It’s just the best!  I always enjoy it when the volunteers break out the toys at the shelter.  Play time is always fun!  Stretching my legs in the play yard in the off-site training program is one of my favorite parts of the day! I love having room to run and explore, and don’t worry, I'll happily come right back when called.  / I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  My tail has been amputated, so it is no longer painful.  Since my previous owner did not keep me on heartworm prevention, I came to MM heartworm positive.  Thankfully, I’ve been treated for it and am in my recovery period now, which will conclude mid-late July.  I will have my heartworm re-check in mid-December, so local adoption is best.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my new family should consult their vet about a dental cleaning in the future.  I’m looking for a wonderful home with a loving family that will treasure me for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    July 14, 2026, 7:41 pm

Story
