Story
Very good boy Tennessee, our friend with City of Raytown Animal Services, was one of the first dogs at the new Raytown Dog Park yesterday, and he was amazing! He did a great job with fence introductions, stayed close by off leash, and had a blast! He has been overlooked for months and has had zero interest. This guy is a fawn/white pit mix and around three years old. He does well with other dogs, has not been cat tested, and is calm and responsive to his people. The amazing staff at Laurel Pet Resort have been working with him on sit and he offers snuggles in return! If you'd like to know more about this wonderful, sweet boy, call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Letty’s your girl! This Bulldog/American Staffordshire terrier is equal parts strength, sweetness, and sass. She’s got the charm of a movie star, the loyalty of a lifelong friend, and the soulful eyes of a poet. Letty is a confident, loving pooch who adores belly rubs, neighborhood strolls, and quality time with her favorite humans. Whether she’s striking a pose for the camera or curling up for a nap, she brings joy and a touch of personality wherever she goes. Letty gets along with other dogs as long as they share her energy and rough and tumble play style. With some guidance and love, Letty will be the kind of companion you write home about. Ready to let Letty steal your heart? Approximate Birthdate:   Jan 2023 Adoption Fee:  My adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous volunteer! Story
Meet Rebel! She is a sweet-as-candy American Bully mix female, around 6 months old. We expect her to weigh 50lbs fully grown. Rebel was removed with her poodle friends from a neglect situation and is now looking for a loving home. She did require hospitalization for her first few days, but she is doing amazing! She does well with other dogs, loves all people (including kids!), but has not been cat tested. She is still very much a puppy but is doing very well with learning how to walk on a leash, take treats nicely, sit, and shake. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on this happy, energetic girl. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport to the right home is available.

Story
This is Chili, our friend at City of Raytown Animal Services. She's a stunning bully mix, weighing in at about 40 pounds and only four years old. Chili has so many amazing qualities, too. She loves people of all ages; sitting next to them to get all the pets and love she can absorb is one of her favorite activities. She walks like a dream on a leash, and she's calm with great manners. She likes other dogs! Oh, and Chili's housebroken and knows sit. Fun fact about Chili: she can climb any chain-link fence. The second Chili enters a yard, you can see her doing the dog math on how to get over the fence. On the walls inside her kennel, we've found detailed drawings of the velocity required with 4 paws and a 20 mph wind gust from the northeast. She will require at least a six-foot privacy fence, but will also need to be monitored when outside, or she can be leash-walked instead (remember, she's fabulous on leash!). She loves leash walks, so there's another mark in Chili's bonus column. If you would like to meet this fun dog, stop by 10312 E. 63rd St. in Raytown, MO, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or call/text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 (you may be able to visit during off-hours). She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Renee (renees@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.  Toby is the sweetest cuddle, hug-bug with the right amount of playfulness and recharging time. He had a family with kids that could not care for him anymore so he’s adjusting and settling in well with the foster family. He is learning new routines from the canines and keeps close to the human. Toby loves participating in all the activities around the house, lying on the floor near the human as she types away (aka works from home), car rides, sitting outside on a good weather day and going for neighborhood walks. Toby is house trained and walks easily on a leash (no pulling) even when he sees a squirrel. He knows some basic commands like sit and kennel up. He is very attentive to the human's voice. He’s affection seeking and treat motivated which is the best combination for more training. Toby is kenneled when the human leaves the house and at bedtime, sleeping soundly through the night. He is quiet and keeps the kennel dry and tidy. He's learning that the human comes back and is happy to see him. Toby is respectful with the older canines and can match the play style of younger canines that are eager to play. He also enjoys chasing a ball in the yard but hasn’t caught on to “bring it” as part of the game. He’s happy to trot back to the human without it. Toby wants a loving, forever family that wants a couch cuddler, adventure partner, and a close canine companion who is a true family member in their lives.   Approximate Birthdate:  March 2024 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Story
Finn… the boy that rolls on his back for belly rubs, is always in the middle of play groups, and is eye catching with his stunning good looks. Finn spends his days playing with dog friends working on new commands and wanting to snuggle up. He is a social boy that greets everyone with tail wags and wiggles. Finn is under a year and we expect him to grow into all his extra skin. Finn is going to make a wonderful family dog where he will pass out loves and laughs every day.
