Story
Sweet Baby wants to be your companion! She is chill and low maintenance (for the most part haha) if she isn’t being forward soliciting pets and leaning into your legs when getting pets. She is happiest when she is interacting with humans. She loves being a ‘turtle’ for back scratches. She will kick her back legs in the air because the feeling of being scratched is soooooo good! At 10 years old, Baby still enjoys long walks and light jogging/nighttime runs. After that, you can find her wiped out on the couch (or her bed) snoring extremely loudly, sometimes even howling in her sleep. Must be a good dream! 😊 Baby’s favorite TV show is SpongeBob. She listens intently to his conversations. Cute! Baby loves meeting people. She goes up to everyone she meets hoping to get pets (or treats. Cheese is her favorite). When you come home from work. Baby likes to greet you at the door. She immediately solicits belly rubs and butt scratches. Some of Baby’s ‘dislikes’ are car rides (she gets anxiety), loud noises (mostly door buzzers), her nails getting clipped and most importantly when people stop petting her. Baby is about 10 years old, 90lb Boxer mix. Baby is looking for a family that can provide her with a calm, quiet environment for her beauty sleep yet active enough where she gets her daily walks/jogs. Baby is great with everyone. She is house trained. She isn’t destructive in the home when left alone. She whines for a little bit when people leave but she settles quickly. Baby previously lived with 2 cats. Her previous family moved away and left her in the apartment.

Story
Miss Patsy’s bio from her stay at the shelter: Miss Patsy has been a hit for various activities off-site, from hikes to exploring agility centers to hanging out at a volunteer's house. Patsy was graded as an A+ cuddle buddy, and you'll be tempted to spend all day petting her luscious rolls. She absolutely belongs stretched out on a plush spot on the couch!   Patsy is also a silly, spunky, and playful gal who is full of life and entertaining charm. She enjoys her walks and play time. Patsy has also been playfully social with other dogs and she has a fun time wiggling around the yards with a favorite toy (and showing off her buns!) She's a great sport for trying out all sorts of new activities and adventures, and her earnestly enthusiastic, clumsy approach to life is sure to bring a smile to your face. When she's excited, she can get a little jumpy and exuberant and with this and her size, she would do best in a home with older kids and adults. It doesn't take her too much activity before she's ready to settle back down and snuggle. Patsy is also a smarty who knows sit and down, and she listens well. She also seems housebroken (no accidents) and rides well in the car. She definitely already has some manners down. Patsy has a lot of personality and she's ready to share it with a family. This goofy, attentive lady is estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 76 lbs.March 7, 2026, 11:41 am

Story
Meet Paxton – Your Loyal Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold Paxton is a handsome 2½-year-old brindle Pit Bull/Boxer mix who has been patiently waiting for his forever home — and we can’t figure out why. He’s been in foster care for two years, and during that time he’s shown himself to be an incredibly loving, well-mannered, and loyal companion. Like many thoughtful dogs, Paxton can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. It doesn’t take long at all for him to relax and show just how loving and loyal he is. Paxton is off-leash trained using a remote collar and does beautifully with structure and guidance. He’s house trained, happily crates (his crate is his safe space), and settles well in the home. He’s the kind of dog who thrives on routine but also knows how to relax and just be near his people. One of Paxton’s favorite things? Other dogs. He absolutely loves canine companionship and would do best in a home with another friendly dog to play with and learn from. He shines in social settings and truly enjoys having a buddy by his side. Paxton is affectionate without being overbearing, playful without being wild, and attentive without being needy. He’s the type of dog who forms a deep bond and wants nothing more than to be part of a family that sees how special he is. He’s waited a long time for his person — or his people — and he’s more than ready to give his whole heart to a forever home. To apply, please fill out the application at www.cledogrescuecrew.com.

Story
If you are looking for a sweet senior who still has spunk, Lulu is your girl! Lulu loves people and attention but then when she is done, she goes to take a nap. Unfortunately, Lulu has had a lot of life changes recently and will need some refreshing on her basic training. She is strong on leash but has been introduced to a gentle leader. Lulu would like a family where she can get frequent activity and maybe even have a fenced yard. Lulu gets along with other dogs and has not been cat tested. Story
TO MEET ME, please complete a Pre-Adoption Application through our website: https://www.foreverfriendsfoundation.org/info/adoption (If you rent, you will be required to provide a copy of your lease agreement showing that you are allowed pets.)  ** SLIM JIM ** Whatever happened that left Slim Jim starving and tied to a fence in a snowstorm did not dim his joy for life.  He loves people – toys – other dogs – food and CAR RIDES!!! Jimmy is completely housebroken.  He is good in a crate and has had no accidents when foster mom is at work.  He sometimes makes dinosaur noises for the first few minutes at bedtime, but then sleeps through the night quietly.  He likes chew sticks or a stuffed Kong when at home alone. Jimmy is amazing with other dogs (after the proper introduction of course).  Other dogs can provoke or take food and he does not react.  He can get too excited and try to play too rough, but settles down if you stop the game.   Jimmy would prefer living with other dogs to entertain him Jimmy is a BIG fan of chew toys and tearing the squeaker from stuffies.  He is always carrying something around.  He will lay in the sunshine chewing on sticks or toys for an hour.  He will need guidance that not everything is his to chew up.  Initially Jimmy was afraid of cats but that was early on.  He backs away with respect if they tell him no so would likely do well with them.   We are not 100% certain about children but he wags his tail when he sees them at the park.  His excitement is his biggest challenge so perhaps older children would be a better fit.     Jimmy loves outings, but is strong on leash initially.  Now that he is healthy he needs more work on obedience.  He has not been reactive seeing dogs, people, or bicycles on the trail.  Regular exercise will be very important.  A yard and a buddy would be awesome for him!   Jimmy is 45 pounds, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.   This handsome boy does not have an ounce of meanness in his body.  He has been through a lot and remains kinder than kind.  With time and training he will be the best friend someone could ever have.                   Neutered – microchipped – heartworm negative – fully vaccinated                                                Tax deductible Adoption Fee $300                    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 7, 2026, 12:50 pm

Story
Meet Pip-squeak, both outgoing with her friend`s, but shy when on new adventures and will look at you for guidance. One Dog`s Day Out person said, `When she encounters new objects or sounds on the walk, it helps her if you are patient and walk up to the object, so she knows it`s safe. Then let her explore it.` We believe she is housebroken, knows sit and down, loves to play tug-o-war and cuddling. On a staycation, she was described as being housebroken, active, loving to cuddle and knows her basic commands. She would like to be an only pet and kids 8+. Or as a staff member summed up, `She`s a good dog`.Interested in learning more about Pip-Squeak and the adoption process? Please email the shelter foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.gov Please note: Pip-Squeak currently resides in a foster home and is not available for same day meet and greets.

Story
Oakey Dokey <3 <3 <3 What a befitting nickname! This is pretty much Oakley’s attitude! He is just an easy-going dude. Car rides, walks, hikes, or even just lounging on the couch, being lazy, doing nothing, Oakley is IN! Wherever you are, he chooses to be right there with you! Oakley is fiercely loyal, and when he loves, he loves deeply. He gives you his all. Alone time? Forget it! Oakley will want to be right where you are! Always your sidekick. Be forewarned, he also tends to park his almost 90lb body in your lap and do the cuddles and snuggles <3 Oakley keeps up on walks and hikes. Don’t walk anywhere near water though, if you are not prepared for the consequences. Oakley will think nothing of jumping in the water! If there are ducks or geese, he will chase. Oakley thinks chasing after small creatures is just the coolest thing! He will need a thorough wipe down or bath after all these adventures. You see, Oakley has a long list of allergies. Amongst them are grass and trees. Food wise, he is allergic to all meats except fish. Took us a long few months to find him a diet that doesn’t cause him to break out after eating ☹Other adorable things Oakley does is bring you his favorite toys (stuffies are his favorite) and ball. He carries them around in his mouth, everywhere. He treats them like they are his babies :) Oakley is 5 years old, 90lb American Bulldog. Having been disappointed by humans many times, Oakley takes a little bit to warm up to strangers (treats help) but once he inducts you into his circle, you’re in for life! Oakley is looking for a semi-active family with a good blend of activities and chill time. Oakley prefers to be the only pet in the house as nothing makes him happier than to soak up all your love and attention. This kid will give back twice as much <3

Story
We adopted Cody from City Dogs of Cleveland in 2024. He is 82lbs. He is house trained and does not need to be crated when left alone. He is good with cats & other animals and children. Does not do well with other male dogs, does ok with females as long as other male are not around. Walks ok on leash with a face harness. Wants to lead the way when using a body harness or a regular collar. Knows basic commands like sit, stay, wait, down, paw. He also loves to cuddle. We are looking for a new home for him due to not having enough time for him since our daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy last summer. We have had more appointments and unknown hospital visits, and missing work hours and having to make up time around everything, which leaves us with alot less time with Cody. He just is not getting enough attention that he needs. We are looking for someone who loves to be outside and has the time to spend with him because he deserves it, he is a good boy who just wants attention & love.
