Story
Someone out there is missing out on the bestest girl! Jackie Chan is a 1 year old, female, bulldog mix who is fully potty trained, fully crate trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives. She is a super smart pup who listens very well to all basic commands, loves to play fetch, and walks well on a leash. She is kid friendly, loves to snuggle and give kisses, and enjoys a submissive puppy play partner. She is also very good about keeping herself occupied with a bone or toy while her humans are busy doing other things. Not sure how she would be around cats because her foster Momma doesn’t have any, but I would imagine she would be curious and want to play! Come meet Jackie in York, Pa…she is overdue for her forever family  We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption. Story
T-tappy toes when excited R-relaxes next to her hooman I-intelligent little lady N-no bone left behind! K-keeper of the treats (sometimes she hoards them in her cage for a lil snack later on!) E-excited, energetic goofball T-tame and calm when she needs to be That’s TRINKET! This sweet girl is the perfect mix of zoomies and zzz’s. She’s kid friendly, and she’s also dog friendly, though she needs a little time to adjust and warm up to new dogs. Trinket is not a fan of cats or small dogs, though, due to her tendency to play rough. This “little” 60 pound lapdog is a bulldog mix, coming in at just under 2 years old. She’s very smart, and she already knows basic commands like sit, lay down, paw, other paw, leave it, go cage, and off. She also knows some key words, like “bone,” “toy,” and of course, her favorite, “treat!” She is house and crate trained, and she is really the perfect dog for anyone just starting out (or anyone at all!)—she’s past the destructive puppy phase, she’s already well trained, she’s full of love, and she’s incredibly eager to please. What’s not to love?? Although her foster family is loving the time spent with this little angel, Trinket would love even more to find her forever family! We don’t know what her past was like, or who mutilated her poor ears, but just one interaction with Trinket shows you that she doesn’t let any of it bother her! She’s the perfect angel, and her lack of ears means her halo sits perfectly on her head without anything to get in its way! Trinket is spayed, UTD on vaccines and preventatives, and currently being fostered in Camp Hill, PA. Apply to meet this precious baby today! Story
Studly Silas is still on the search for his perfect family! Silas has overcome being a stray in the south, having one of his eyes removed due to an infection, traveling many states, living in two foster homes - and has done it all with strength and resilience! It's about time he finds a place to lay his big head forever. Silas is a 65lb, 3 year old bulldog mix. This loyal boy has a lot of love to give his forever family. While he has bouts of playfulness with the other dogs in his foster home, he is just as happy curling up on the couch for naps. He's fully house trained and can even be trusted outside of the crate when you aren't home. He rides like a perfect gentleman in the car, and sometimes prefers to plop his head on your shoulder so he can see where you're going -- hopefully somewhere for pup cups! While he has shown some guarding tendencies, these behaviors are easily corrected, and even more easily avoidable by not leaving high value treats or toys laying around for him to guard. Silas hasn't been around too many small humans during his time in rescue, but kid test coming soon! More than anything, this gentle giant just wants pets, kisses and a warm bed to sleep in. Silas is being fostered in York, PA, and can't wait to meet you! We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Story
Hello PA! I’m Kathy I came up to PA in December looking for my forever home unfortunately that has not happened yet   but it’s ok for now I know my family is out there.. plus my foster mom tells me she loves me! I’m a happy go lucky girl and love humans! I’ve been working hard on my leash skills but when I see humans I pull because I know they need my kisses! Im a strong girl who weighs around 65 pounds so you should know I also pull when I see kitties and creatures but I don’t love them like that! I just turned 4 years old last month and I’m still a playful girl. I love toys, treats and did I mention I love humans! I’d love to be the apple of someone’s eye   I tested well with some doggos down south but up here I’ve been picky and I need slow proper introductions. While I ignore dogs on walks I could do without them in my home. I am crate and house trained. When my people leave I prefer to be crated because if left out I get anxious. My foster mom also says im up to date on vaccines and preventatives (whatever that means!) Also my mommy says she gives me daily OTC allergy medication cause I’m an itchy girl at times I don’t mind it she puts them right in my food and I gobble it down! Im hanging out in Dillsburg PA until my forever family finds me. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers.
