Kallan Rua is being fostered in TN. she is so smart she is now potty trained! Vision Update: 1/16/26 Originally we thought she just had ulcers and they were healed with some vision loss...we have since found that she has no vision in her left eye and has developed primary glaucoma... she is currently being treated with 2x daily eye drops which are very affordable and tolerating it very well. She is expected to eventually need that eye removed if she no longer responds to the eye drops in the future. The glaucoma is hereditary and could move to the right eye as well. She is currently normal and happy and still sees shadows in her right eye. Her weight is now 8.7 lbs. Kallan Rua ( cowl-lawn roo_ah) lives up to her Irish name as a brave warrior and a strong ginger haired girl!!! At 8.5 weeks she has the biggest personality, she is playful and LOVES her toys, she is absolutely adorable and so smart. She loves praise. She is 10000% a lap puppy and was bottle fed so all she wants is to cuddle and be held and kissed. She is fantastic with the foster mom's two dogs ( although she is too young to really play and interact yet) and shows only gentle interest in cats. She has yet to meet a person she has not loved or a lap she does not want to be in. Kallen is a typical puppy, curious about everything, playful, and absolutely full of mischief. She doesn't walk...she leaps from place to place exploding with joy... and every adventure is better than the next as far as she is concerned. She has no fear and shows no issues with her limited vision. She does not run into anything and can see well enough to navigate her world perfectly. Foster home is currently crate training and working on basic commands. She is so smart and only wants to please!!! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

She’s a sweet, wiggly girl who would do best in a calm environment with older children (12+) and no other pets. She would love a break from the busy shelter so she can relax, decompress, and enjoy some one-on-one attention.Reason for Foster: Pulmonic stenosis & weight gainFoster Time Frame: 2 Weeks(The foster time frame may be longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Charm is being monitored for mild-to-moderate pulmonic stenosis. Pulmonic stenosis is a heart condition caused by a narrow valve. Her prognosis is good, and she will need yearly echocardiograms to monitor for any changes over time. Our medical team is also monitoring Charm`s weight and she is on a special diet to help her resume a healthy weight. She’ll need to return to Operation Kindness for a medical recheck to ensure she continues to to increase her weight. At pickup, our medical and behavior teams will meet with you to go over Charm’s needs, answer questions, and make sure you feel confident supporting this sweet girl during her recovery.Foster to Adopt Program:Charm is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. Meet Manny….this sweet boy came to the Euless shelter as a stray, extremely malnourished and with happy tail syndrome. Despite undergoing a partial tail amputation surgery and several followup vet visits, he is one of the happiest dogs you’ll meet. At 3 years old, he still has the playfulness of a puppy, but without all the trials of training. Manny is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a harness and loves car rides. He knows basic commands and his foster family has been working with him to learn more and say he is a very smart, quick study. Manny enjoys playing with his toys, especially BALLS and chasing after them. He has excellent house manners and does well with children and lives side by side with guinea pigs without issue. As much as he loves to play, he’s happy to settle down and snuggle up next to his people. Manny prefers to be the only dog and will do best in a home with a fully fenced backyard. Manny is an American Bulldog/Staffordshire terrier mix, with a beautiful, healthy white coat. He’s been able to gain a little weight and is up to 53 lbs.
