Story
Meet Cali — Your Future Adventure Buddy! Cali is a bright, energetic, and affectionate 6-year-old pup who has been deeply loved since she was just 3 months old. She’s incredibly smart, fully house-trained, and always eager to please the people she trusts. Whether she’s showing off her commands, chasing her favorite toy, or curling up for a quiet snuggle, Cali is happiest when she’s with her person. Cali absolutely loves the outdoors—especially summertime swims at the lake. She’d thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can run, explore, and enjoy playtime safely. Inside, she’s a sweet companion who settles beautifully once she’s had her exercise. Because Cali prefers all the love and attention to herself, she needs to be the only pet in the home. She has displayed serious aggression toward other dogs in the past, so she will require a pet-free environment and an adopter who can give her structure, safety, and understanding. Due to her strong prey drive and high energy, she would also do best in a home with children 12+. Rehoming Cali has been an incredibly difficult decision. A new dog next door has created a situation where Cali no longer feels secure, and despite careful management, she has become increasingly reactive. Her current environment is no longer safe or fair for her, and she deserves a home where she can relax, thrive, and be the wonderful companion she truly is. If you’re someone who: ✔ Loves an active, intelligent dog ✔ Has a dog-free home and a secure yard ✔ Can offer patience, guidance, and plenty of affection …then Cali may be the perfect match for you. She has so much love to give and is ready to be someone’s loyal, one-and-only best friend. Cali is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Story
Azucar is a 5 year old Bulldog looking for a home to call her own. She was brought to us as a stray who was overweight and struggling to walk, but full of love and kisses. She`s now at a healthy weight and happily active (though she prefers to sunbathe instead). She has previously nursed puppies and, as a result, her nipples are very prominent. Azucar has the perfect mama dog temperament and gets along great with other pups and people, often scolding rowdy puppies when they get too crazy. If you`re looking for a loyal, loving, and low energy dog, look no further than Azucar! Come meet her today and see if you`re the one for her!

Story
Hi there, I’m Scotty, a 6-year-old boy who was found as a stray. Life hasn’t always been kind to me my scars tell a story of a tough past but I haven’t let that stop me from loving people with my whole heart.  A few things about me: I seem to be housebroken I like to keep my space clean. I love people and soak up every bit of attention I can get. I’m calm, affectionate, and would be the perfect couch potato companion. Even after everything I’ve been through, I’m still full of love to give. All I want now is a soft bed, gentle hands, and a family who will finally show me what it feels like to be safe and loved. Story
Meet Sharae Jo aka Dora the explorer. She is 11 months old (as of Jan.), weighing 28 lbs., boxer mix with a vibrant fawn coat. Sharae was rescued under a church with her five siblings and her mother at just a few weeks old. Sharae is a very energetic, loving and a very independent pup who loves to explore all of her surroundings. Sharae is very shy with other dogs, but warms up once getting to know them. She has not been around cats. She currently resides with her mom, two siblings and a Lab. Sharae loves water especially playing in her puppy pool. She is one smart pup! She loves a good car ride and loves the outdoors. An ideal home for Sharae would be one that is safe and comfortable where she will receive plenty of love, affection and training. Because she is a pup, would love to put her in an environment with a family that has children, if possible.l, but not required. Sharae is partially crate trained with no issues sleeping or playing in one. However, she does not potty inside, as she will bark to inform you when she needs to go. Sharae will need continued training on a leash and basic commands. Sharae has received the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP. She is microchipped and will be spayed on 06/17/2025. Reason for rehoming: Sharae is currently under temporary care by her rescue family who are unable to keep her permanently. This happy-go-lucky pup is deserving of the perfect furever home.
