Story
Meet Lily, the Playful Sun-Seeker! Approximately 7-8 years old, Lily was adopted in 2019 as an adult. This charming Boxer mix, with no breathing issues, is a delightful blend of playful energy and affectionate cuddles. She's up to date on her medical needs, including her rabies vaccination, spay, and microchip. While she developed a seizure disorder two years ago, she is completely fine and thriving with an affordable monthly medication. Lily is a very playful pup who loves a good game of catch or tug-of-war. Alternatively, she loves to be snuggled, petted, and close to you. Due to her hip condition, she isn't able to walk long distances, though her enthusiasm might suggest otherwise at first! She's watchful of the house and will bark at anyone approaching. Lily enjoys the freedom of a dog door to access the yard whenever she pleases and loves laying out in the summer sun (yes, even in the heat!), but she is incredibly afraid of thunderstorms and seeks comfort close to you. Her kennel is another safe space (and will come with her to her new home). She is also afraid of vacuum cleaners, brooms, and cans, possibly from her life before us. She doesn't typically get along well with other dogs, though she coexisted with our previous dog, Max, who deferred to her dominance. She is very affectionate with teenage children, always ready for a car ride, and eager to join you on any adventure. Lily needs a new home because her family is relocating to Switzerland, and airlines do not accommodate 'snub-nosed' dogs for the journey. While her current family's other snub-nosed dog, Max, is being adopted by friends, Lily thrives as an only dog. Her ideal home would be with someone who is home frequently, as she is used to having companionship. Her current family is unsure how she does alone for extended periods, as she has rarely been alone for more than five hours, with a sitter checking on her twice a day during vacations. Lily is incredibly food motivated, and she will need a gate was installed at the kitchen entrance to create a safe space for food. This strong food motivation, however, could be a great advantage for training and teaching new tricks! This sweet, sun-loving, and affectionate pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Meet Coco! This 2-year-old American Bully/ Boxer mix has the most irresistible resting Grinch face you'll ever meet — but don't be fooled... Her heart is already 3 sizes too big for kids, dogs, and anyone who gives good belly rubs. Meet Cali! She's a bright, energetic pup who loves attention and treats. Cali is very smart, house-trained, and always eager to please. When she is not playing, she'll happily snuggle up beside you for a cuddle. I am hoping to find Cali a loving home, preferably with someone who has a house. She does best as the only pet, as she doesn't get along well with other dogs. I've had Cali since she was just 3 months old, and she's been deeply loved and spoiled for the past 6 years. Qoda is a really beautiful American bully. I believed he was purebred and got some paperwork that I don't think is correct anymore. I bought him in Arkansas 10 months ago. I travel a lot for work so it's been really difficult. PM train and keeping him focused because he's a puppy and he has a lot of energy and I live in a condo so I really don't have the space to take him out like he needs to be. But he's a great dog and he needs a great home with somebody who can be a lot more attentive to him and the things that he needs

Story
Kona is a 7 year old pitty boxer mix with a sweet little crooked piggy tail! She is about 40 pounds of cuddly love. She was adopted as a young pup from a shelter in Sunnyvale, TX, where she had some injuries to her tail and back leg. Thankfully, both are all healed up now, but they still have a unique look! She is up to date on all vaccines and is microchipped. Konaâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s energy level fluctuates between zoomies in the backyard and passed out on the couch, and not much in between! Her biggest excitement comes from seeing the people she loves, but her favorite place is on the couch with some comfy blankets, where she would spend most of the day if she could. Add a chew toy, and she would be in heaven! She likes other dogs after a warming up period and has been living happily with another dog. She adores her humans too, but she might need a little time to get over her shyness. She would be happiest in a home without cats or small children. While she would love to have an owner who works from home to keep her company while she naps on the couch all day, she is crate trained and is currently sleeping in her crate at night (though she would love to take up space on someoneâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s bed!). She loves end of day snuggles laying between your legs on a blanket and watching tv. She is food motivated and knows the word â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 as well as her name. Kona is quite a homebody and not the biggest fan of walks, but if it means making you happy, she will go! She is being rehomed through no fault of her own. Kona has become very stressed in a home with a baby, and would prefer to be the baby of the house herself. While she has some mild seasonal allergies, her chronic stress has taken a toll on her skin â&#194&#128&#194&#148 and while she acclimates to a more calm environment, she may need some special skincare! This sweet, goofy girl has so much love to give and deserves a home where she can relax and curl up on the couch in peace! If you think she would be a good fit in your home, apply to adopt Kona today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Kona, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
