I told Telly that as handsome as he is and with such a good attitude that he would get a loving home soon. He must've heard me because he was so happy that his tail never stopped wagging! He is a three year-old 57 pound black and white American Bulldog that came to Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/10 as a stray. Now no one's perfect, right? Well, Telly does occasionally jump on you but will get down with a stern command. He just needs a little bit more practice on this. He definitely wants to please. He's very friendly, playful, affectionate and alert. When I wiped some mud off him, he just sat down and was very patient. He pranced and frolicked around the room in which I did his eval. He walks very well on a leash. He did his business when he got out in the yard. He was like the welcome wagon when it came to meeting other dogs. Telly wants to be an inside dog mostly so he can love on his new family. It's too hot in Texas for the sweet boy to be outside in the heat!

Gelato is lovable and an obedient dog. He gets very excited a lot but doesn’t mean any harm. He’s been moved twice already so I would love for this to be his final home. He doesn’t need to be disciplined because he’s very very timid and knows when he did something wrong. He doesn’t bite and I suggest him eating soft food as well in a slow feeder because he chews fast. He loves tennis and baseballs and chasing laser toys to keep him occupied. He’s definitely way more active than other bulldogs so taking him out twice a day would be lovely.

Hey there, I'm Guppy, and let me tell you a little about myself! Well, I'm a big snuggler, and there's nothing I love more than curling up with my favorite humans and soaking in all the love and affection. Now, when it comes to kids, I gotta admit I can get a bit rambunctious during playtime. So, I'd probably do best around older kids who can match my energy and keep up with my antics. As for other dogs, I'm still learning the ropes of coexistence. Sometimes I get a bit too excited and play a little too rough, or I get too caught up in what they're doing instead of focusing on my own play. But hey, I'm a work in progress! My favorite pastimes include sunbathing in the yard, chilling on the patio, and playing with my squeaky toys or a good ol' chew toy. Oh, and I absolutely adore car rides! Who's up for a pup cup? Now, walks are still a bit of a challenge. Those pesky birds and squirrels always seem to steal my attention, but I'm working on staying focused. Let's talk about the crate-it's not exactly my favorite spot, but I'm trying to warm up to it. And potty training? Well, let's just say I'm still mastering the art of asking to go outside. Continued training and patience are definitely needed in that department. Oh, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm downright adorable! But don't let my looks fool you-I've got a feisty side too.
