Story
Ruby Monday is a total love bug who was unfortunately dumped at a high-kill shelter when her previous family moved without her. She lives with many other dogs in her foster home and gets along well with everyone, except when someone gets into an altercation. She thinks she is supposed to end all spats, so we never leave her with the other dogs unattended. For this reason, she would do better in a home as an only furkid or with an experienced owner.Ruby loves humans of all sizes and ages. She is a cuddlebug who loves to go for car rides and walks. It is hard to believe she's a senior with her energy and happy, outgoing nature. It would be wonderful for any senior who wants a dog to spend retirement with them, and still give anyone who might want to cause trouble a reason to think twice because of her size and bark. She is fully vetted, current with her vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention. Ruby is available for permanent foster care if you live within a reasonable distance of our veterinary clinic. If you are hoping for a companion but are on a limited budget and feel you can not afford to take care of a dog, we would love to help you give Ruby a wonderful forever home.

Story
This precious meat head is Champs. Big, strong, loving and loyal and looking for a loving home. Champs was found living in a homeless camp with a logger chain and lock around his neck - chained to a tree. Life was desperate for this guy with his open neck wound. What agony he lived in day after day, despite that he was still nice to people and other dogs that came up to him. Luckily, a good person stepped up and did something rather than just pass him by. Champs is a sweet loving smart boy. He is eager to please his people and make them proud. He is the most handsomest, sweetest little big guy out there! We are working on our Canine Good Citizenship together and he is SOOOO quick to learn and eager to please! Champs is good with other dogs, but does need proper intros as he is VERY excitable and not a lot of other dogs like that. But he when he makes friends, they are the best of pals! Not sure on cats or other pets. He's very curious so he'd probably chase a cat if it ran from him. He is high energy. I would recommend an active home with teenagers with lots of energy that they can play together. He loves a consistent routine. So I would imagine the energy will settle a bit when in a home. He loves a good car ride and would be a great on-the-go pup! He's in boarding right now and needs a foster or adopter that is willing to continue his training! He would sure love a home to experience life with a loving family. Champs seems to like everybody he meets: humans and canines. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Beatrice is a 1-year-old bully mix that was surrendered due to a recurring medical condition and financial constraints with original owner. She is very affectionate and wants nothing more than to love her person. She enjoys cuddles and playing fetch. (She even brings the ball back!) She knows a few basic commands; she is very food driven and eager to please. She does well with other dogs but can get over excited and is still learning manners. She does need to be around very tolerating dogs. She’s been tolerating my cats, I wouldn’t trust her unattended with our spicy cats but with supervision she behaves well with calm kitties. She would do well with another dog that enjoys playing. She’s on a prescription GI diet and hasn’t had any further medical issues since starting that! She was kept outdoors by her previous owners; this has caused some separation anxiety. She’s not comfortable going outside alone yet, she likely fears she’s getting left out again. She does fine outside when she has her person but otherwise will cry at the door until she can come back in. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Dear Lulu had her heart broken when her family abandoned her at a high-kill shelter, and is still a sad soul waiting for someone she can devote herself to. She needs to be an only furchild in her home and would be perfect for a senior home that wants a loving older dog to join their family.Lulu is very much a house dog; she enjoys some time outside and occasionally sunning, but prefers the luxury of the indoors. She has excellent house manners and enjoys her walks, naps, and being close to her loved ones. Lulu is fully vetted, current with vaccines, on flea and tick prevention, and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and spayed.

Story
Ace is a Boxer and Pit bull mix. He is a good dog and is around 5 years old. He is active and loving. Growing up, he was a cage baby and hasn’t had many interactions with other dogs or people. With repeat interactions, he tends to remember people and gets excited to see them again. While walking, he usually ignores people passing by unless approached, though other dogs may catch his attention and spark his interest. Im looking for an experienced owner who knows what they’re doing with dogs. He does need training, but aside from that, he is a big, loving dog. He loves to cuddle and attention. I don’t have much choice of what I can do with him, I love him but I can’t have him any longer because I fear about his behavioral issues. I know with the proper training ace can be an amazing dog. He listens, and while it’s on his own time, he listens. I want Ace to be happy and free, with room to run around. I would be willing to cover the cost of getting him spayed/neutered.
