Meet Xena!   She is a sweet, quiet, and gentle Pit Bull mix with medium to low energy. She loves to be with her people but also loves to snooze when left alone. Xena is very affectionate and gives cute nose bumps when she wants attention. She is crate trained, house trained, and sometimes jumps on furniture but understands the “off” command very well. She also loves a good sturdy chew toy and will keep herself entertained. She does well on leash with a little guidance and needs a 20-30 minute walk twice a day. When we found Dixie she had almost no hair. Her skin was horribly infected and painful. With baths and medications she is now well under control and pretty easy to maintain. She will need continued care to not end up with issues again as there are likely underlying allergies involved. She’s easy to treat and takes her baths well. Dixie is in a foster home with other dogs and cats. She is a great dog!  She gets a little too attached to her person and con sometimes not want to share that person but it is trainable. We saved Destiny from the San Bernardino shelter about 4 years ago. She was adopted by a wonderful woman who loved her and gave her a good home. Unfortunately, Destiny now finds herself back with us as her mom passed away a few months ago. She was sad at first, but she is finally coming out of it and is ready to find her next forever home. Destiny is great with people -- she will love everyone. She enjoys her walks and is also happy to just chill in the shade.
