When we found Dixie she had almost no hair. Her skin was horribly infected and painful. With baths and medications she is now well under control and pretty easy to maintain. She will need continued care to not end up with issues again as there are likely underlying allergies involved. She’s easy to treat and takes her baths well. Dixie is in a foster home with other dogs and cats. She is a great dog! She gets a little too attached to her person and con sometimes not want to share that person but it is trainable. Before being rescued, it was discovered I had been shot, leaving me blind in one eye. Don’t worry; this doesn't stop me from enjoying life to the fullest! You can’t help but enjoy life with her!”Drizzle’s perfect morning looks like this: a car ride, yoga on the bluff in the sunshine with her foster mom, lots of affection, another car ride, and a toy to play with or chew on. Then home so her foster mom can go to work, and she can hang out in her bed, snoring through video calls. Drizzle is about 7 years old and 65 lbs., and mornings like this have given her a whole new perspective on how great life can be! In her previous life, where she may have been used as a breeder mama, Drizzle was left with some hip issues that limit her walks to just a few blocks, but that won’t stop her from trying to pull on her leash a little if she gets the chance (don’t give her the chance)! Drizzle can be a bit stubborn and is working on her leash skills. She’s also learning how to sit (and practicing before every meal!), is completely housetrained, and is looking to her humans for direction. Drizzle loves meeting people and dogs on her walks, and she is doing great at cohabitating with her foster dog sibling.
