Story
Meet Bo! A mature fellow, his previous family shared his appreciation for neighborhood strolls, and we've already found him to be a good napper, too! Bo shared his previous home with a dog friend and several cats, and has also experienced living with children.Bo finds fireworks and other loud noises such as thunder to be a bit concerning and will appreciate some thoughtful support from his family during those times. He has been described by our volunteers as sweet and gentle, and one of the most chill dogs to walk. He's easy to leash, walks calmly, is affectionate, and loves belly rubs and butt scratches. So if you are looking for that gentle soul to take on a leisurely walk and then share some TV time in front of the couch, look no further than Bo. Keke was about to be euthanized for space at an overcrowded, high-kill shelter when we saved her with minutes to spare! Keke is a great with the other two adult dogs she resides with and is quite an easy house guest! She has great house manners and does not get into mischief at her foster mom's home. This good girl is house trained, enjoys leash walks but can pull when when excited. Very sweet and devoted companion!  We suspect Keke is a delightful mix of several breeds including mostly Pit Bull.  Best guess on age is around 2 years ad Keke weighs around 65 lbs If you would like to adopt/foster please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2038690##

Story
This kind hearted dog is Jack and he was found wandering the streets of a small New Mexico town with a small, 10 pound terrier pup. The pup, of course, was adopted. Jack was overlooked in the shelter due to his black coloring and his breed. But those who judge soley on appeareance only cheat themselves. Jack is a TREASURE!  Such a gentle dog who is nothing but congenial and deferential to the other 2 dogs in his home. He has absolutely blossomed in his foster home and seems to exude appreciation for the safey and love of his foster family. Jack is affectionate, leash trained, smart, adaptable and Handsome! Jack is small statured and weighs around 40-45 lbs. Best guess on his age is around 2 years. Story
All people inquiring about pets listed as Courtesy Listings on the EAPL website and/or EAPL posting adoption boards should contact the current pet owner/rescue/shelter for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. Please do not contact EAPL  about courtesy listings. The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, information on history, vaccines, etc.  Cam is a neutered, 6.5 yr old, AmStaff/AmBully/Lab mix. He is house trained and is a very gentle, patient, soft-mouthed, silly, and nervous boy who is very loved in his current home. Unfortunately, he lives with a littermate brother who does not appreciate him. We've been managing the two boys for quite some time, keeping them separated, but Cam is getting more and more stressed living in our home. His brother is not a candidate for rehoming. We've worked with our vet, a trainer and a vet behaviorist and so far we have not seen enough improvement in Cam's quality of life to continue the way things are. It breaks my heart to have to rehome Cam, and many tears have been shed, but it is not fair to have him continue to live his life this way.    Cam LOVES playing hide-n-seek, defluffing toys, mining for squeakers and chasing leaf shadows in the backyard. He walks wonderfully on leash, and readily accepts training, though isn't the most food-motivated dog. He may do best as a single dog due to some reactivity that has developed along with his issues with his brother. Though, a smaller dog could be a good fit - he currently does very well with our shih-tzu. He has a high prey drive, so probably wouldn't do well with cats. He is fearful of new people at first, but warms up very quickly. He is ok with baths, but hates having his nails trimmed. His new home would ideally be with someone who has experience with dogs, is home a good bit and can offer a relaxed atmosphere - someone who appreciates the sensitive souls that pitties are. I am charging a $250 rehoming fee simply to avoid horrible people with bad intentions. If you are not a horrible person and are interested in learning more about Cam, please email Shannon at ketriblue@gmail.com.   April 27, 2024, 6:40 pm

Story
Kane was unfortunately returned to the rescue by no fault of his own.  A senior dog in the household was not accepting of him. Kane is a playful, sweet, motivated, energetic boy! He has come so far in his training and work.  He knows basic obedience (sit, stay, down, place, wait, thresholds, crate manners) but will need proofing of those behaviors, as he is still a young puppy who is learning! We are still learning leash manners, so finding a relaxed approach with a long line while learning in the meantime is helpful.  He is very smart and very food-motivated.  He does well with structure and boundaries along with lots of love and treats.  He has been learning how to relax and have calm energy and has been progressing amazingly.  He has met a few dogs without issue but does have a forward, energetic, pittie play style, so learning manners and boundaries will be important.  He lovessssssss laying on the sofa with you, is a sloppy-floppy-sleeper, sits up against your feet looking for affection, is a sucker for good chin scratches, and all around just wants to connect with you and be the best boy.  He will thrive in the right home without a doubt!  He does demonstrate a prey-drive so no smaller pets or cats are recommended at this time.   His adoption is $250. Story
It's been hard to be Mochi! If she could talk, we'd love to know what misadventures caused her to be running about as lost dog before finding her way to the shelter. It appears Mochi missed out on the positive exposures to life as a puppy and younger adult that would have helped her develop the resilience to be optimistic in new or busy situations, and so she needs support now to feel safe around novelty. A patient family that can focus on helping Mochi adjust to new routine at home and introduce life outside at whatever pace is comfortable for Mochi will likely experience her at her best. A well-adjusted dog friend would likely be a huge benefit for Mochi as she transitions to a new family, and, for her comfort, she is available for adoption to families with without children or those over the age of 10.
