Story
Hi, I’m Cody! I’m a 5-year-old pit/schnauzer mix and I’ve been with my family since I was just 6 weeks old. I grew up with babies, kids, and other dogs and I love everyone I meet. I’m gentle, affectionate, and fully potty trained. My family loves me very much, but sadly my little human has developed severe allergies to me, so they’re searching for a new loving home for me. I also have allergies and my family has tried many traditional treatments over the past few years without success. Now I’m on a special raw diet and natural supplements that have made a big difference in helping my body heal. It’s very important that my new family can continue this care. I love going on walks, playing, and then cuddling up for naps. My kennel is my safe space, but I’m happiest when I’m close to you or hanging out with other dogs. I truly am the best boy and have so much love to give. I hope to find my forever family soon.

Story
Dublin is high energy but amazing. He loves being one of the gang and loves people. I recently got married and changed jobs and unfortunately I no longer have the time to give him the attention he deserves. He loves running and playing catch, prefers to sleep with his people (under the blanket). He is very laid back as far as attitude goes but needs a family that are able to play with him and help him expend his energy. I love him very much and hate that I have to find him a new family but he deserves to be happy because he truly is so full of love!

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Fenway finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our  adoption application  so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Fenway | 8-year-old mixed breed | The Goofy Gentleman Fenway is an 8-year-old, 40-pound mix with the perfect balance of gentlemanly manners and goofy charm. He’s mellow, low-to-medium energy, and loves lounging, short walks, and couch snuggles—ideal for quiet mornings, Netflix marathons, and road trips. Fenway is almost fully house trained, crate trained (though he prefers free roam), and generally good on leash. Fenway does require very slow, thoughtful introductions to both people and other dogs. While he can politely coexist with other dogs in public, he prefers to keep his castle to himself and would do best as the only dog in his home. Recently, Fenway has started showing behaviors that suggest he may feel more comfortable with men than women, though with patience, consistency, and calm energy, he can continue building trust. He appreciates gentle approaches, predictable routines, and being allowed to move at his own pace. Kids and cats haven’t been tested yet, but he would likely thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home without a lot of hustle and bustle. He’s affectionate, food motivated (salmon is a favorite!), and full of endearing quirks: soft “songs” when content, pawing for attention, belly rub flops, and his signature “seal pose.” Fenway is adjusting beautifully after a previous ear infection and is learning to trust gentle, predictable handling. Fenway’s ideal home is patient, calm, and steady—somewhere he can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the loyal, snuggly companion he is.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. If you are interested in this dog, please contact Cate at 970-471-0963   Snacks (short for Saranac) is a 6–7 year old, 100 lb Pitbull mix with a heart as big as he is. Rescued from a shelter in Kansas when he was about a year old, he’s grown into the most loyal, goofy, and gentle companion. His favorite things in the world are cuddles on the couch, spending time with his humans, and enjoying quiet outdoor adventures. Snacks is neutered, fully vaccinated, house-trained, and knows his basic commands. He’s healthy (despite having lost some teeth in a run-in with a rock on a hike!) and has so much love left to give.   Unfortunately, he has gotten out of his yard a few times and had several altercations with neighbor dogs. These incidents have made it clear that he needs an environment where he won’t be stressed by frequent dog encounters. His current family is heartbroken, but know that finding him the right home is the best choice for Snacks and for everyone’s safety.   Why You’ll Love Him: ·        Loves all humans — strangers included ·        Amazing with kids (currently lives with a 1 & 4 year old) ·        Big cuddlebug and total couch potato ·        Enjoys the outdoors, quiet walks, and being by your side   What He Needs: ·        Experienced owner who can manage his leash reactivity (he struggles walking past other dogs and because of this walks are easier in calm or rural areas) ·        Secure fenced yard where he can safely enjoy outside time ·        A home where he won’t be constantly triggered by dogs passing by ·        Gets along with dog-friendly pups only after an experienced owner can give a proper intro. He lived with a dog for several years. ·        No cats Snacks is located in Breckenridge, CO, but his current family is willing to travel to help Snacks find his perfect home.October 13, 2025, 9:12 pm

Story
Meet Nico! This active, playful pup is always ready to explore and keep busy. He thrives with an adopter who can challenge both his mind and body, and he does best with a consistent routine. Nico knows â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 and is very treat motivated, making training fun. He gets excited easily and doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t realize his size, so he may be too much for small kids or some cats. For the right home, Nico is a lively, loving companion whoâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s always up for adventure.February 12, 2026, 7:56 pm
