Story
https://foha.org/pet/deebo2025/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:   This sweet, snorty guy is the definition of easygoing charm!  Deebo is a silly but often chill cuddle bug who loves soft toys, scritches on his sides, and lounging in the sun like a piglet on vacation. He walks beautifully on leash and does not get distracted by small critters. He just wants to be your best buddy. He’s got a playful side (especially with toys!) but knows how to relax too, he sleeps through the night!—and yes, he corncobs your fingers with affection. HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I like other dogs! I have a cool, calm demeanor when I see other calm dogs around. Dogs with too much energy are a bit much for me as are alpha dogs. HOW AM I WITH CATS: No cats for me. I find them to be too interesting! HOW AM I WITH KIDS: I am best with teenagers and above. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Outside, leave it, gentle, and sometimes 'no.' I am still learning my new name! MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I do well in crate! I am housebroken! THINGS I LIKE: Car rides! Tug-of-war, my squeaky plushies, tennis balls I can chase, my people, my sleepy time noise machine! I love hot dogs and cheese, and the salmon oil I get for my sensitive skin is so yummy! THINGS I DISLIKE: I don't like my paws or tail touched. I  dislike baths but I will behave for them. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS – Click Here! ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/sally2025/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Sally, a goofy, sweet, and smart girl who’s ready to find a family of my own! I love being close to people and will happily lean in with my front half in your lap to soak up all the affection. I already know “sit” and “down” just by voice (no hand signals needed!) and I’m very motivated by treats, so I’d love to keep learning new tricks with you. I enjoy fetch and bring the ball right back every time, and I’m just as happy with a calm game of tug, always dropping the toy when play stops for a treat. I’ve even tried agility equipment and had a blast with the herding ball, A-frame, and elevated walk. Walks are one of my favorite activities. I can start out with a little pulling but settle into a calmer pace, especially once I’ve gotten my excitement out. I also love splashing in the pool, chasing leaves, and hanging out with my people for belly rubs and snuggles. I’ve been a rockstar for things like baths and grooming, I stay calm, cooperative, and enjoy the extra attention. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who’s as eager to play as she is to cuddle, I might just be your perfect match! HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I can be dog-selective but have done well with gentle dog friends. With the right match, I enjoy a calm canine buddy. HOW AM I WITH CATS: Unknown. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Best suited for an adult home or possibly older, respectful kids. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit, down, come, look. Learning to trade toys on cue and eager to expand my skills! MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Not specified, but I’m cooperative and learning fast. THINGS I LIKE: Fetch • Tug games • Pool time • Walks • Agility fun • Snuggles • Belly rubs • Learning new tricks THINGS I DISLIKE: Nothing major — I just get excited and need a little patience and structure. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.

Story
Meet Chelsea, a 4-year-old Pit Bull/Shepherd mix who may take her time warming up, but once she does, she’ll absolutely steal your heart. She’s a reserved girl at first glance—thoughtful, observant, and careful with new people—but when she decides you’re safe, she transforms into a full-on love bug who leans in for affection, follows you around, and forms a deep, loyal bond that feels genuinely earned. Chelsea isn’t a match for homes with cats, and she can be selective with other dogs, so she’ll thrive best with adopters who appreciate her boundaries and can give her a calm, structured environment where she can feel secure. She doesn’t want chaos—she wants connection. And if you’re willing to give her a little time to trust, you’ll discover a dog who gives her whole heart back. Come meet Chelsea and see why the people who know her can’t stop rooting for her. She’s ready for her person—she’s just waiting for you.

Story
Lois is an amazing dog who is looking for her perfect home!! Would you ever imagine that this adorable smiling face had ever been anything but happy?! She seems to have forgotten her past (which was the too often sad story of a mom and her puppies struggling to survive) and is ready for her time in the spotlight. She's been waiting over a year and a half for her chance! Lois is an outgoing, friendly, playful, athletic, bubbly, energetic, happy-go-lucky girl who truly loves playing with her friends. She’s had a few different dog friends (all boys) that she’s played with and she is always up for a game of chase with some zoomies. No girl dogs for her, or cats. She really needs an active household. She’ll keep everyone entertained! Her big smile is just too contagious. Besides a family of her own, Lois also needs a secure, fenced yard. She’s quite the athlete and she likes to show off her athletic prowess. So we want to make sure that she stays safe! Lois is a great size - around 40-45 lb. She’s probably in the 2-3 year old range. She’ll be an amazing dog for the right home! This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Kobalt is such a great boy! Looks at his gorgeous face and eyes! He is so quiet in his kennel. He loves to go on walks and explore. He is learning to not pull on a leash, but it is so hard because he loves his time out of the kennel. He gets along with other dogs and wants to meet everyone. He is a lover and will make a great companion. He needs someone that can spend time with him and give him the best home. He sure does deserve it all! His adoption fee is $250 and is currently in Tennessee. He can be transported. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
