Story
Eugene is a sweet 6 year old dog that loves to be a couch potato and cuddle with you! He absolutely loves any and all people and will always come up to you wagging his tail for some pets. He loves walks and being outside but also loves having lazy days with his owner(s). He came to us 3 months ago after being with the same family for 6 years and he has really shown how goofy and silly he can be! He would ideally like to be in a home without other dogs as he can be reactive and be in a house where he can run around in the back yard. He also gets along really well with cats after a period of adjustment. If you want an affectionate dog who loves to be around people and cuddle with you than he is the perfect pet!

Story
Jenny (6 yrs, Beagle mix) and Zoey (4 yrs. American Staffordshire Terrier) need a new home because the owner is moving out of the country shortly. Zoey has a lot of enery and makes a game out of everything. Jenny is a little sweetheart. She is very mellow and loves to cuddle and nap. Both are okay with cats. We would like them to go together.

Story
Hi, I'm Ace and you will hit the jackpot if you adopt me!. I'm a good boy and a bundle of endless energy and I love to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY! I also love to RUN, RUN, RUN and want a home with a large fenced backyard so I have plenty of space to run around when the urge for some zoomies hits me.Right now, I don't know many commands but I'm eager to learn! I get a little jumpy when I get excited but I am ready to learn good doggy manners. Are you ready to be my teacher? I love treats so I will learn very quickly! A lot of energy means a lot of LOVE! If you will give me time, training, and patience, I promise to try very hard to be the best dog ever. If you have a dog, we might have fun playing together so bring them to meet me! I don't know if I'll chase cats since I haven't been around many here at FMAR. If you have room in your heart and home for me, I'm waiting to meet you!If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. I am neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care I have received.**Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Story
Are you looking for a dog to brighten up your life and fill your heart with joy? My name is Muffin and I will bring you happiness and laughter every day with my bubbly personality! Everyone tells me that I'm the perfect size and with my bouncy spirit and playful energy, I'm hard to resist! I'm full of energy, fun, and bounce and I'm looking for a home where I'll get lots of playtime and adventures. I love treats so that will make training easier. I also love to cuddle (after I get all of my energy drained). Since I can get very excited, I'm looking for a home without cats or children under 12. I might like a dog brother or sister if we have good vibes when we meet. If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. Story
Hey there friends, I'm a sweet girl named Pita. If you follow the world of Facebook, I was dumped with my sibling and parents at Crosswinds Marsh. My owner moved and left us behind. It's their loss and your gain because I am an AMAZING girl. I love other dogs, I love people, and I have a steady calm energy that could be perfect for almost any home.I am a foster to adopt pup because I tested positive for heartworm. If you're not familiar with heartworm, fear not the disease is not contagious, meaning that a dog cannot catch the disease from being near an infected dog. Heartworm disease is only spread through the bite of a mosquito. The treatment for Heartworm means that I have to really limit my activity and keep my cool vibes for the next 8 to 12 weeks. If you take me home, FMAR will be with you at every step of my treatment! If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. Story
Challah here! You know like that delicious loaf of bread you can buy at bakeries? If you follow the world of Facebook, I was dumped with my kiddo's and partner at Crosswinds Marsh. My owner moved and left us behind. It's their loss and your gain because I am an AMAZING girl. I do well with other dogs (given the right intro), I seem to want to chase the cats on FMAR's property and I love people. I often think that I'm a big ole lap dog. I give kisses and hugs, and I've got an exuberant full body wiggle! Out of the four of us that were found, I'm definitely the short and stout one, and most closely resemble a baked potato. If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. I am spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
