We adopted Hermes from Ann Arbor humane society. He was born December 8 2023. He is about 8 months old. He a SUPER sweet guy. Lots of kisses and hugs. Knows his current name and can come when called. He has been through 2 dog training classes at pet smart. He graduated puppy training but failed intermediate due to us not working with him enough, not his fault! Husband lost his job and we had a baby. Between all the stress, we just adopted a dog before a storm hit our family and it's not fair to this sweet boy not to get the love, attention, and exercise he deserves and needs. He jumps on people a lot and tackles my 2 year old for kisses which she doesn't like and it's been hard to rid him of this habit. So he does get along with children but is just a little big and energetic so I would be cautious if you have super little ones like me.

Meet Loki. A rescue who couldn’t snuggle closer to you if it was possible. Our family has loved Loki as she is amazing with people and children. Truly a shadow dog who always wants to be where her owners are. Unfortunately, she prefers to be the only animal around. We have another dog that she has warmed up to and plays nicely with, so she is capable of being in a multi-dog home with training, but it’s not realistic with our neighboring dogs now that we’ve moved and do not have an adequate fence to keep her contained. She would do best somewhere where she is the only animal. I can’t stress enough how amazing she is otherwise. Absolute teddy bear with people, never any aggression, calmly takes her treats, responds when called and will go to her “place” and her favorite activity is being a passenger princess in the car. I hope I can find her the loving home she deserves in a space where she can flourish.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Princess loves who she loves with all her heart. She would flourish in a home with no other dogs or cats. It takes some time for her to warm up to you but once she dogs she is basically a Velcro dog, never leaving your side. She is a medium energy level dog who could use a walk a day but would be fine missing a few here and there as long she could romp in the backyard a little. She's come a long way from her days of living a life outside or in a trashed out vacant home in the D laying on dirty piles of old clothing in a dark and waterfilled basement. She was unfortunately neglected for the majority of her younger years so she really needs a patient adopter who can focus all their love on her. Princess loves hugs and belly rubs and enjoys walks on lead. she's crate trained and continues to be worked with some reactivity when she in in the crate. But that doesn't keep her from being a loving and sensitive sweetheart.
