Some of you may already know me as the face of the scared dog that ran Salem for weeks evading human contact and capture at any cost... until I was hungry enough to FINALLY go in one of the many traps that had been set for me around one of the spots I'd been frequenting. When I was first caught, I put up a ruckus and did my best to act big and scary so everyone would leave me alone! I was scared, cold, betrayed by humans and didn't know who I could trust. It took a little time and patience, but once I was out of the trap and in a warm building with kind humans, I immediately started making progress and showing the sweet boy that I truly am. After Just a couple of days, I was already so happy, loving and playful. I have a very loving and playful disposition, but I also have a timid and nervous side that seems like I'm constantly looking to see if I'm going to be reprimanded for playing or being rowdy, almost as if I was in a home where one person really loved me, and another deeply resented or disliked me. I will need a patient family that is willing to spend time working with me on basic commands and training. I am a very sweet, but I am afraid of most everything. I do love other dogs and another friendly, well socialized dog would greatly help me.
