Story
Kismet is a sweet little bean has had a rough start to life and she's searching for her forever home to turn it all around!Kismet is only six months old so she's just a baby. She's still learning the ways of the world and still trying to find her place. To make matters worse, she came to us with a fractured front leg that had been left untreated for some time. Luckily, after consulting a couple of vets, there was no need for surgery or amputation and Kismet has been the most patient, bravest little soldier while it heals. Kismet weighs about 38lbs right now but is a growing girl and still has plenty of time and room to grow. She's an absolutely stunning girl and is literally the color of champagne and just as bubbly once she gets to know you. A shy princess at first, it doesn't take her long to fall in love with you and it won't take you long to fall in love with her either. It's impossible to resist how bouncy and silly this pretty puppy girl is.Considering the fact that she's still very much a puppy, she still needs some help working on her leash manners. Right now she's a little zigzaggy but she's super smart and picks up on things very quickly. She's eager to please and eager for attention so she's been an absolute delight to work with. We don't think that she was ever socialized with other dogs because she doesn't really seem to know what to do with them but she might do well with the right dog that has patience for puppy antics and the fact that she's a little bit socially awkward. She's scared of cats and almost jumped out of her own skin when one tried to slap her through the bars of their kennel. Older kids (12+) preferred because we don't know if she's ever been around kids and she's a big baby with no manners. All in all, Kismet is the best girl that is going to be an absolute joy to watch grow and mature. Since she is a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member to adopt her.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Story
Meet Buster! This sweet and handsome pup, with the biggest and most endearing ears you’ve ever seen, is ready to find his forever home. Buster’s story started out a little rough—he was found as a stray, thin and emaciated—but you’d never know it now. Thanks to the love and care of his foster family, he’s blossomed into a happy, healthy boy who is eager to share his gentle heart with everyone he meets.Buster is friendly with kids, loves other dogs, and enjoys spending time with people. He is the happiest dog, always wagging his tail!He is housetrained and does well with either a doggie door or a regular potty schedule. He is still learning to communicate when he needs to go out, so his future family should be prepared to continue helping him with this routine.Whether he’s romping around with his canine friends, soaking up the sunshine, or quietly resting nearby, he’s simply happy to be part of the family. His playful and affectionate personality shines through in everything he does including relaxing on a recliner with you (see pic)Despite his difficult start, Buster has so much love to give. so good natured and very cuddly. He’s the kind of dog who will quickly become your loyal companion through all of life’s adventures. Buster is waiting patiently for the right family to give him the forever home he so deserves—could that be you?Name: BusterBreed: Pittie MixSex: MaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 35 lbs as of 9/29Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm:  Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:   MississippiIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Lucinda (Lucy)!Lucy’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her resilience and loving heart shine through. She wandered up to a kind stranger, frightened and injured, with wounds on her face and leg. Thanks to medical care and the patience of her foster family, Lucy has healed beautifully—both inside and out—and is now ready to find a forever home of her own.Lucy is a gentle soul with a tender heart. She may start out a little shy, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into the ultimate “velcro dog.” Her favorite place to be is right by her person’s side—whether it’s snuggling on the couch, showering you with kisses, or just keeping you company throughout the day.Lucy does beautifully with other dogs but would also be perfectly content as the star of the show in a home where she’s the only pup. She’s crate trained (she’ll even go in on command!), housetrained, and walks nicely on leash—though she may pull a little when her excitement takes over. Lucy also rides like a pro in the car and loves every trip.Because of her past, Lucy can sometimes feel a little anxious, especially in busy outdoor settings with multiple dogs, and she may be vocal at first when kenneled. Mealtime is another big highlight of her day—she gets very enthusiastic about her food! Feeding her in her kennel works best and keeps her happy and comfortable.Lucy has a low energy level and is happiest simply being near her humans. Her ideal home would be one where she can spend lots of time with her family and feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Lucy is ready to fill your life with love and cuddles.Name: LucindaBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 40lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Treatment completed 11/25/25Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Hershey is a wonderful boy! Sweet, shy, curious and playful Hershey is one of a kind. Hershey is a shy dog with a gentle soul who is worth getting to know. He will capture your heart in a second with his soulful eyes. The way to this boy's heart is patience, understanding, some yummy treats and toys.Having a reserved disposition, this sweet boy is looking for a quiet home without young children. This boy thrives in a calm environment where his people understand his need to adjust at his own pace. His adopters will need patience and understanding that Hershey will blossom with this patience. He will pay you back for your patience with his little nudges of confidence. He will follow you around and supervise your daily routine.Hershey has been working on basic commands, leash walking, and learning to trust humans. Hershey also enjoys sunbathing and MUST HAVE a secure fence in yard to ensure his safety and provide him a space to explore confidently. While he takes time to warm up to new faces, his sweet and gentle nature shines through once he feels safe. He lights up around other dogs, so having a gentle furry sibling or two to learn from would be ideal. His foster family has done an amazing job helping him come out of his shell, and he's now ready for the next chapter of his journey. Story
Meet Lovely Lindy...This pretty girl was pulled from a Texas shelter on what was supposed to be her last day (cue the dramatic movie music). A retired foster scooped her up just in time, and this brave, belly-full mama delivered her adorable litter like a champ. After raising her pups, Lindy got spayed, powered through heartworm treatment like the strong Southern gal she is, and is now heartworm-free and loving life.💖 Personality & Perks:—Professional cuddle buddy, especially after a nice walk or adventure.—Loves her humans and even will be your dance partner! https://youtube.com/shorts/oU7tU6HX6Rk?feature=shared —Plays great with large dogs, prefers males.—Cats? Meh — when cat-tested, she gave them the ol’ “not impressed” look and moved on.—Small dogs and toddlers? Unknown, but her excitement level might be a bit much for the little ones, so we are saying over 12—House-trained (doggie door pro!) and working on her leash manners — her love of treats makes training a breeze.—Needs just a little boost into the SUV, but once she’s in, she’s all about the road trip vibes.🌿 Ideal Home:An active family or person who loves a good walk, hike, or adventure — followed by quality couch snuggles, of course. Miss Lindy isn’t “hyper,” just the perfect mix of energy and chill.Check her out enjoying a wonderful stroll:https://youtube.com/shorts/Rj9Y7Nw68fc?feature=sharedShe’s spent her life making sure everyone else was taken care of — now it’s her turn! Story
Meet Jack — A Gentle, Low-Key Pitbull Looking for His Peaceful PlaceIf you’re searching for a calm, affectionate companion who just wants a quiet life and a comfy couch, Jack is your guy. This sweet, sensitive pitbull thrives in a low-key home where he can relax, feel safe, and bond closely with his person.Jack is a gentle soul who gets overwhelmed by noise and fast-moving environments, so he’s looking for an adults-only home without kids or household chaos. Once he feels secure, though? He’s a total lovebug. Jack lives for cuddle time, happily curling up beside you and gazing into your eyes like you’re the center of his universe. All about Jack:~ House trained — goes to the back door when he needs to go out.~ Crate trained and quiet as can be — he’s genuinely not a barker~ Great with other respectful dogs and has shown calm, polite behavior~ Walks well on leash with a training collar; without it, he’s a strong puller so work on this will be needed with the assistance of training leashes (no pulls, etc)~ A+ cuddle buddy and loves to be a lap dog~ Not destructive — sticks to hard toys and long-lasting chews~ Car-ride lover and an excellent passenger~ Good for baths and nails, even with a professional groomerJack may be a solid boy, but he doesn’t always realize his size or momentum when hopping up to join you—just part of his goofy charm. He has been wonderfully gentle, even in stressful situations, but he’s clearly telling us he needs a calmer environment to truly thrive. In the right home, Jack will blossom into the relaxed, devoted, wonderfully easy companion he’s meant to be.If your home is peaceful, steady, and full of love to give, Jack will return it tenfold. He’s ready to be someone’s heart dog—maybe yours.Adoption Fee: $450.00  Location of dog currently:    New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if needed.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
