Story
Milan is a Mix between pit-bull American Staffy and Chihuahua. Milan’s age is not 100% known because I took her in from someone who got her from a breeder but I was not given any papers regarding Milan’s date of birth but If I had To guess, Milan is around 1 year and 9 Months. She gets very excited around people and tends to jump so would watch carefully around kids but she means no harm and doesn’t bite. I am financially struggling to take care of Milan and frequently have to move around and it is a hassle having a dog with me in this time and she deserves a home where she can get the space she needs.

Story
I met Miracle through an ex-friend in 2019, & fell completely in love with her. I hadn’t seen her since & then she showed up at the local shelter so I called & they told me she had been adopted. Her foster mom reached out to me & asked if I was still interested in her because she wasn’t a good fit at their house. So i’ve had her for about 3 months now. When i first met her in 2019, she lived with other dogs & there wasn’t a problem with her coexisting with them. However i’m not sure what she’s been through since then & she does not get along with my dog now. I’ve tried everything i can think of &they just are not getting along. I also have two kids, a 3 yr old & an 11 m old, she is okay with them until she isn’t. I do my very best to make sure they stay out of her face & are calm while it’s her turn to be out but they are young & my youngest doesn’t understand anything about that or why so that’s difficult. She isn’t aggressive towards them just growls. Older kids would be just fine.

Story
Hi there! My name is Josephine. Thanks for checking out my bio! I'm roughly 4 years old, but a true lady never reveals her age. Other than that, I don't have many secrets, and I have so much to tell you! I currently live with 3 other dogs, and I love all of them. I've also met some dogs on my various outings, and I think all of them have been super cool. I love to chew on toys and am happy to chill and hang out wherever you are, so I'm an ideal work from home buddy. I love pets, and I'm not shy about letting you know when I'm ready for them. No playing hard to get here-I'm a girl who knows what she wants! However, I don't like to yell or talk loudly and would much rather whisper sweet stories in your ear. In the mornings or when something exciting happens, I'll talk (grunt/grumble) up a storm, but overall, I'm a pretty quiet gal. I like to sleep in my pen at night and for naps during the day. A woman needs her beauty sleep. So, see...I'm sort of perfect! Now that I've won you over with all of my charm, let's get real with each other. I was in pretty rough shape when my foster humans found me, and they've done so much to help me. But just like everyone, I'm still a work in progress. I'm heartworm positive but have already completed all of my treatment. So now I just have to wait a few months to get retested and get that negative test result back to be officially heartworm free. Not so bad, right?! I also came to them unable to use my back legs. I do have feeling in them; they just don't like to talk to my brain right now. Maybe that's why I like to chat so much-to make up for my silly legs! The good news is I can get around really well with my front legs. I can scoot on the floor all by myself, or if you're up for some teamwork, I can walk around while you hold my back legs up with a sling. I also have a really cool wheelchair. Using it is a lot of work and can be tiring, but I love using it for short distances or to walk around the yard like an independent woman! I'm going to physical therapy twice a week to help my legs talk to my brain and keep them nice and strong. It's a lot of work, but I'm making impressive progress. And I'll need my new humans to keep up my therapy so I can keep it up! I'm now able to stand on my own and even take a step or two! Let's find out together how far I can go! Finally, I know it's sometimes considered impolite to talk about bathroom stuff. But with a pup like me, it's best to be up front. I know to do my business outside, but because I'm paralyzed in my back end, I have some trouble in that department. Poops are pretty easy most of the time. I just need extra help getting in position and balancing. Going pee is a little more difficult for me. It's hard for me to get everything out, so I'll need my new humans to assist me and express my bladder. But don't worry, my foster humans can show you how! And I like to think of all of this as a unique bonding opportunity! I know some of this might seem a bit overwhelming, but I have no doubt the perfect family is out there for me! Plus, my foster humans are ready to help answer any and all questions, so let's talk more and see if we're a match!

Story
Usagi is an extremely affectionate little hunk of love. A champion cuddlebug, she will happily sprawl out next to her humans, curl up in the curve of their legs, or smoosh in between them. Big spoon, little spoon -- Usagi adores it all! Usagi also provides boundless entertainment with her silly antics! She's a master back scratcher, wiggling around on the couch with goofy grunts of contentment. And belly rubs! Usagi will flop onto her back, with paws dangling, and extort all the belly rubs she can! She also occasionally gets the most adorable zoomies and will race in circles, grab a toy, and buck like a little bronco. Usagi's playfulness is incredibly endearing but her bullish affection and rambunctious play style would likely overwhelm small children. She would do best with human playmates ages 8+. When it comes to other pets, Usagi wants to be your one and only. Other doggies make her feel nervous (even from a distance), so she needs a family that will respect her boundaries and help her feel safe. Incredibly in tune with her people, she will thrive in a calm, steady home with a doting pet parent or family. Usagi is crate-trained, house-trained, and well-mannered on the leash. Although she would enjoy a fenced yard where she can lounge in the sunlight, she's perfectly content to take a quiet stroll around the block, or even toss her toy around indoors. Eager to please, Usagi is also a quick study with a vast repertoire of commands, including Sit, Down, Stay, Spin, Leave It, Come, and many more. Check out the videos of her showcasing her skills! Usagi really is the whole package. Once she connects with you, she'll do just about anything to make you smile. However, she often feels anxious in unfamiliar situations, and she needs reassurance to help her feel safe. With patience and encouragement, Usagi is steadily building her confidence. For example, she used to always be very scared of new humans, but now she'll happily greet neighbors when out and about! All it takes is a slow and gentle introduction. Usagi melts her foster parents with her sweet, affectionate gaze, the press of her meaty little paws, and the smooshing of her blocky head against their cheeks. She will bring boundless love, cuddles, and laughs to her forever home! HEALTH Usagi is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. She takes daily anxiety and allergy pills, happily gobbling them up like treats! HISTORY Usagi spent some time at a local animal shelter after she was found as a stray. PHYSICAL Usagi is an adorable stocky mix -- mostly white, with large brown patches and some small, dark polka dots. She is short and muscular with adorable chunky paws. Usagi has stunningly gorgeous blue and gold eyes, a mottled pink and brown nose, and soft, floppy ears.

Story
Lucy is approximately 6 years old and looking for her forever home! She is a big love sponge and has never met a stranger. For the first 5 years of her life she was kept outside in a small pen but for the last year has adjusted beautifully to being an inside dog. She is crate trained and housebroken, sleeps in the crate at night and is crated with her favorite kong toy or bone when home alone. Lucy is high energy and would do best in a home with a large yard or the ability to take her on a long walk daily. She knows several basic commands and is a fast learner with endless potential to learn tricks. Lucy loves to chew on bones and toys but has never chewed any shoes or furniture. She has played well with other dogs but plays fairly rough and needs to be supervised during playtime. She injured another small dog in the home which has prompted us to rehome her. Lucy’s ideal home has no cats or small dogs.
