Story
Sweet Kiki is one of the best dogs! She is an affectionate little lady who just wants to show you all the love. She came into rescue with her puppies and now that they are grown, it's her time to shine! She has fun playing in the back yard with her doggie foster siblings, but her favorite pastime is being around her foster family and getting in lots of pets and snuggles. She is an extremely affectionate, medium-energy dog. She loves walks around the block but can spend a lot of her day snuggling with you on the sofa. She thinks she is a lapdog and loves to be close to her people. She will need proper and slow introductions to new people or guests entering the home. In her foster home, Kiki has been great with housetraining and using her crate. She walks happily on a leash and has been making progress on ignoring distractions she encounters outside the house (like squirrels or other dogs). She can still react to other dogs on leash, but also has been great off leash playing with other dogs! She can get nervous meeting new people and encountering new things, so she needs her new family to be patient with her as she adapts to their home and neighborhood. She learns quickly, as she loves treats and is quite intelligent. She has done well playing with dogs in a yard at doggie day care, but she is way too interested in cats for their safety. She has not interacted much with children. She enjoys a calmer environment where she can just relax on a dog bed or the couch. Kiki likes the indoor life and will be your Netflix buddy for those Saturday night binge-a-thons! If Kiki sounds like your kind of girl, fill out an application, she can't wait to meet you!

Story
Audi is a bundle of fun and affection! She absolutely loves going on walks, splashing around in the water, and playing with other dogs. One of her favorite pastimes is soaking up the morning sun. She also enjoys lounging in the cool grass on a warm afternoon. Audi has been professionally trained and knows many commands. When it’s time to cook dinner, Audi will relax on her place cot, staying out of the way but always close by. She adores cuddles on the couch and will happily roll on her back, purring with contentment as you rub her tummy. Audi loves everyone! She will thrive in a home with dog-savvy children who understand her size and energy level. She’s a great match for someone who appreciates the lovable nature of bully breeds. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Audi is your girl! Audi is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs around 67 pounds. Story
Lucy is approximately 6 years old and looking for her forever home! She is a big love sponge and has never met a stranger. For the first 5 years of her life she was kept outside in a small pen but for the last year has adjusted beautifully to being an inside dog. She is crate trained and housebroken, sleeps in the crate at night and is crated with her favorite kong toy or bone when home alone. Lucy is high energy and would do best in a home with a large yard or the ability to take her on a long walk daily. She knows several basic commands and is a fast learner with endless potential to learn tricks. Lucy loves to chew on bones and toys but has never chewed any shoes or furniture. She has played well with other dogs but plays fairly rough and needs to be supervised during playtime. She injured another small dog in the home which has prompted us to rehome her. Lucy’s ideal home has no cats or small dogs.

Story
Zeus is a loving dog who just wants to be with his people. He loves walks and play, but he doesnt see the point in chasing a ball. He like soft and hard chew toys, going places and meeting people My husband and I grew to love Zeus when he belonged to our neighbors. We were concerned that he wasnt getting any social interaction during the past two years, just left alone in the backyard once his primary owner went to college. When his family surrendered him to animal control we couldnt risk him be euthanized, so we adopted him. As much as we love Zeus, having him has been difficult, both because he is too rambunctious fo be trusted around our cats, and because my husband has physical issues that keep him from playing with Zeus or taking him for walks when I am at work. Zeus still thinks, at around 70 pounds and almost 3 years old, that hes a puppy. He hasnt built up a lot of stamina yet, but he recovers quickly. Unfortunately, at 65+ my husband and I dont recover nearly as quickly!

Story
Hi there! My name is Josephine. Thanks for checking out my bio! I'm roughly 4 years old, but a true lady never reveals her age. Other than that, I don't have many secrets, and I have so much to tell you! I currently live with 3 other dogs, and I love all of them. I've also met some dogs on my various outings, and I think all of them have been super cool. I love to chew on toys and am happy to chill and hang out wherever you are, so I'm an ideal work from home buddy. I love pets, and I'm not shy about letting you know when I'm ready for them. No playing hard to get here-I'm a girl who knows what she wants! However, I don't like to yell or talk loudly and would much rather whisper sweet stories in your ear. In the mornings or when something exciting happens, I'll talk (grunt/grumble) up a storm, but overall, I'm a pretty quiet gal. I like to sleep in my pen at night and for naps during the day. A woman needs her beauty sleep. So, see...I'm sort of perfect! Now that I've won you over with all of my charm, let's get real with each other. I was in pretty rough shape when my foster humans found me, and they've done so much to help me. But just like everyone, I'm still a work in progress. I'm heartworm positive but have already completed all of my treatment. So now I just have to wait a few months to get retested and get that negative test result back to be officially heartworm free. Not so bad, right?! I also came to them unable to use my back legs. I do have feeling in them; they just don't like to talk to my brain right now. Maybe that's why I like to chat so much-to make up for my silly legs! The good news is I can get around really well with my front legs. I can scoot on the floor all by myself, or if you're up for some teamwork, I can walk around while you hold my back legs up with a sling. I also have a really cool wheelchair. Using it is a lot of work and can be tiring, but I love using it for short distances or to walk around the yard like an independent woman! I'm going to physical therapy twice a week to help my legs talk to my brain and keep them nice and strong. It's a lot of work, but I'm making impressive progress. And I'll need my new humans to keep up my therapy so I can keep it up! I'm now able to stand on my own and even take a step or two! Let's find out together how far I can go! Finally, I know it's sometimes considered impolite to talk about bathroom stuff. But with a pup like me, it's best to be up front. I know to do my business outside, but because I'm paralyzed in my back end, I have some trouble in that department. Poops are pretty easy most of the time. I just need extra help getting in position and balancing. Going pee is a little more difficult for me. It's hard for me to get everything out, so I'll need my new humans to assist me and express my bladder. But don't worry, my foster humans can show you how! And I like to think of all of this as a unique bonding opportunity! I know some of this might seem a bit overwhelming, but I have no doubt the perfect family is out there for me! Plus, my foster humans are ready to help answer any and all questions, so let's talk more and see if we're a match!
