Story
"Hi there, I’m BONNIE — your future best friend. I’m about 2 ½ years old and about 58 pounds of pure love. Life wasn’t always kind to me — I was abandoned in Victorville, hurt and scared, but some amazing humans came to my rescue. My wounds are healing, and so is my heart. I love people — especially kids! They call me a “velcro dog” because I like to stick close. Cuddles? Yes, please. Belly rubs? Even better. I’m also pretty chill and get along with just about every dog - I'm mellow so I prefer if they’re not too in-my-face or overly hyper. I’ve got medium energy: I enjoy a good walk, but I’m also a pro at lounging. Now, a quick heads-up: cats kinda freak me out, so I’d do best in a kitty-free home." "All I really want is a calm, loving place where I can feel safe and be spoiled like the good girl I am. I’ve been through a lot, but my heart is wide open. I promise — I’m truly super duper lovable."

Story
Ever meet a dog that when they look at you, you feel like they are looking into your soul and instantly make your heart melt? Well, if you haven't and you want to experience that warm fuzzy feeling, adopt Eddie Beau because that is exactly how he looks at you. For those that have experienced that "look" before, then you know it's a rarity that you don't come across often. He looks at you with so much love, trust, and innocence in his eyes that gives "soul dog" type of vibe. Watch his video and fall in love with this sweet and silly boy: https://youtu.be/k-_DRx2YFss?si=4s4k0pNrauY4Fyti Eddie Beau is a pittie mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 68lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age. He may even have some Shar-Pei mixed in somewhere because he has the cutest little nose wrinkles that Shar-Pei's have. Those whose wrinkles of his probably have to be one of my favorite things about him. You can help but want to squish his cute face. Eddie is dog friendly and has done great with all of the dogs we have introduced him to. He loves dogs who like to play and have a happy go lucky vibe about them. When he finds a buddy who's just as playful as he is, it's all about floppy mouths, loosey-goosey faces, wrestling matches that are the dog form of a pillow fight, and a game of tag you're it from time to time. He's not all play all the time either, so no need to worry about your house turning to into a 24/7 dog park. He appreciates those calmer moments and after a good wrestling match, play breaks end mutually and you’ll find him off exploring or he’s next to a person soaking in all the affection. He would be best in a home with a dog who is looking for a playmate that can match his play style, one that also enjoys the company of another dog, and appreciates those calmer relaxing moments as well. When it comes to training, this boy loves treats and will do anything for a treat and some encouragement. Treats are one of the ways to this boys heart. He takes treats very gently too and I love the way his mouth just barely touches your hand to where you can feel how soft and fuzzy his lips are. Which are smooth like butter. Eddie already knows how to sit and will even automatically sit for you too from time to time. On a walk, Eddie does pull a little bit at the beginning out of initial excitement but after a few minutes and some guidance he is and enjoyable walking buddy. He has a curious nose and likes to smell all the smells while also checking looking up and checking in with you from time to time. Especially if you'er telling him how handsome he is LOL. He looks up at you with the biggest smile. He is crate trained and potty trained as well and does best when he can get a couple of potty breaks throughout the day. Eddie would thrive in a home with a semi-active family looking for a buddy to take with them on adventures, explore those trails you have saved on the map, and a loving companion for you to show them all about what it means to be loved and cherished. He would do best in a home with a backyard in the suburbs where he can stretch his legs, romp around, and enjoy the sunshine rather than in the heart of the city. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! If you're looking for a sweet sidekick who's as go with the flow as he is cute, look no further because Cyrus Cuddles is your perfect match! He is all about tail wagging good vibes and going wherever the wind (or you) take him. Whether that's lounging by your side or going on a casual stroll around the neighborhood, his easy going nature is content with it all. Morning walk? Cool beans. Couch nap? Even better. Spontaneous adventure? Let's go! He'll just be happy to be included. Cyris is dog friendly, loves everyone he meets, and is your own personal ray of sunshine. Let's also not forget to mention those adorable freckles perfectly scattered on his face, those beautiful big brown eyes of his, and also those amazing floppy ears. Everything about him is easy to love and easy to be obsessed with. Watch his video and fall in love with this sweet boy: https://youtu.be/XLucwtNPtVU?si=sH_loRNksRYPTfYE Cyrus Cuddles is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 72 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. He is such a go with the flow, “just happy to be here” type of dog. You can be doing some rearranging in the house, unpacking boxes, doing laundry, or just having a super busy day doing chores around the house and there’s Cyrus in the background happy as can be watching all the action. When you're done or need a break from whatever it is you're doing, he will be right there ready to give you all the love and kisses. Cyrus loves affection and loves to be around people. One of the ways he shows his love is by giving you gentle kisses and leaning into to you for hugs. One thing that I also love about Cyrius is that he isn’t the type that is going to lovebomb you and overload with his kisses. He’ll give you just the right amount you’re looking for. His easy going and happy nature would make a great companion for a family that likes to have guests over, family movie nights, and he would even make great dog for someone that works from home because of how easy going he is. If you don’t work from home, that’s fine too. He is use to staying home in his kennel while his foster mom is away for work and she is gone from 8-5pm and she says that he does perfectly fine with that. Cyrus is very dog friendly and has the best time making new friends and is currently fostered in a home with a smaller 30lb older dog and gets along great with her as well. Cyrus’s foster has also fostered some puppies during his time with her and he loved having them there and had so much fun playing with them and he also regularly visits his foster mom’s sister house and she has a 10lb senior dog and he does great with the super tiny dogs too! He is a super goofy fella when he is playing with other dogs and has bouncy fun loving play style. He loves to romp around the yard with the other dogs, is also very tolerant of even rambunctious tumble play and will even engage in rumble tumble play. In a home, Cyrus would do best with a happy go lucky dog like himself. A doggy friend that enjoys romping around in the yard together, one that enjoys lighthearted wrestling matches, and also a friend that enjoys those relaxing moments as well. If you don’t have other dogs, that’s totally fine too! Cyrus does not need a dog to help him feel comfortable and to open up, he is a loving happy guy all on his own and he’ll love being the center of our world. When it comes to training, Cyrus already knows a handful of basic commands such as sit and is eager to please. He loves treats, takes them very gently, isn’t picky about treats either. He loves them all. Cyrus is very easy to walk on a leash and isn't phased by people walking past him, dogs in the distance, or even when loud lawn mowers are near by. We can see him being a great companion to take with you to farmers markets, leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, and taking him with you to your local coffee shop. Cyrus is also crate and potty trained as well and has wonderful house manners. The ideal home for Cyrus would have a backyard where he can stretch his legs, romp around with his new doggy sibling, hangout with you while you garden, and sunbathe during those nice summer days. He is an easy going medium energy fella that has a playful side, also paired with a calm couch-potato soul underneath it all. He would do best with a semi active family that enjoys going on walks and looking for a snuggle bug to lounge around with at the end of the day. He is best of both worlds! We are willing to test Cyrus Cuddles with anything you need to ensure it’s a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
One thing you need to know about Blinky Baby is that she is a total love bug and snuggly queen. Oh my goodness y’all does this girl love all the affection. Any affection is good affection in her eyes. She loves belly rubs, booty scratches, and leans her whole body into you for affection. But that’s not my favorite thing about her! It’s just the tip of the iceberg. Hands down my absolute FAVORITE thing about Blinky is how amazing she is around my 15 month old son. When I say this sweet lady was born to be a family dog, she really was. Watch her video and see all the other ways Blinky Baby is the girl for you and why she’s so special: https://youtu.be/VhkNAw6PZIU?si=cqmn6eTiKSr_wO_G Blinky Baby is a pittie mix approximately 6 years old and currently weighs 59 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee age or breed. Blinky is in a foster home with 5 other dogs ranging from 13 to 60 pounds. She loves her foster human siblings too and grandma! Blinky is crated all day while her foster is at work and snoozes on the couch at night with the pack. One of my favorite things about Blinky Baby is how happy she is all the time! You make a quick, silly freeze - strike a pose like you’re mid dance or about to sneak attack and she catches on instantly. Her eyes light up, her tail starts to wag, body starts to wiggle, and then suddenly she burts into the cutest little mini zoomies. Like that inner puppy has just been activated by your goofball freeze tag magic . It’s the ultimate “ready…set…GO!” in dog language. As mentioned previously, Blinky is wonderful around kids! She has been around kids as young as 15 months old and she was so incredibly gentle around him. Even when he was walking around with his little snacks. She never tried to take any of his snacks out of his hand, not even after I had given her some. Which was so impressive in my opinion. She never once knocked him over and was completely comfortable with the crying, random unexpected movement, grabbing hands, all of it. Blinky just loved being there apart of it. Blinky is very dog friendly and has been in play groups with dogs all with varying temperaments, personalities, and sizes (even as small as 15lbs). She is more people orientated than anything, not overly playful with other dog, and gets along great every dog. She's the perfect addition that will blend in beautifully wherever she goes. When she does play, it's short and sweet just like her. Blinky is the type that is just happy to be included. She's always the first to greet a new dog into the yard (she's the happiest little greeter) and then she's off doing her own thing again. Ultimately, she's just happy to be there and her favorite spot to be is off getting booty scratches. In a home, Blinky would be best with a dog that enjoys the company of other dogs and up for maybe a light play session or two (nothing crazy). She would also do great as your one and only too if you don't have other dogs. She does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable with other dogs or to fulfill her energy needs. She is a loving gal all on her own and she will be just as fulfilled with a walk around the neighborhood or mini zoom sash in the backyard. Everyone knows that saying, "age is just a number," well that cannot be anymore true with Blinky. As stated above, we estimate her age to be around 6 years old and she doesn't act like a little old lady one bit. Yes, she is pretty laid back for the most part, I would say 60% of the time but she still finds so much joy in all the things. Blinky would love to go exploring through nature trails with you, take a trip to the beach, learn new tricks, and do all the things with you. At the end of the day, Blinky will gladly snuggle up with you on the couch. She also does not need exercise or an adventure for her to want to cuddle and be snuggly either, she comes by her snuggly wanna be lap dog nature honestly. So if you want to have a lazy day and stay home watching movies all day or if the weather doesn't permit for outdoor time, she's happy to have a lazy day with you. Blinky not only has the potential to be your next little adventure buddy but she's super smart too and loves treats! She already knows some commands such as sit and walks like an angel on leash. She is crate and potty trained, has great house manners, and from what we have seen she has always been quite in her kennel. Blinky would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, get her cute little mini zoomies, and soak in the sun during those nice summer days. If you're someone that works from home, she would be a great work from home buddy. She will absolutely ask for affection every now and then and may even want to snuggle on the couch with you while you answer emails as well. Blinky is great company to have around to matter what you're doing if we're being honest. Questions? Story
Maribella is ready to be your family dog. She could be the perfect running partner, play date loving best friend you never knew you needed. She can also just be your quiet napping companion while you work. Or your cuddle buddy/little spoon! She loves to check in with her people, making sure she is behaving and coming in for a boop here and there. She is trainable simply because of her people pleasing nature. She loves to boop people and other doggies with her cute nose rather than give kisses. It’s so funny! We love everything about this girl from her blue grey coat to her little cow lick down the top of her neck! She’s super soft and she has a little bit of a ridge down her back! Watch Maribella here: https://youtu.be/f9fzCgCaJDU?si=yblJtVDDTQwy9rep Maribella is great in the house and not destructive. She is quiet, not a lot of barking or whining, acts like she has lived in a home environment previously and has very good manners. She does not have any accidents in her kennel or free roaming from what we’ve seen. While her foster works on the computer she is a good girl and naps on the floor. She would make a perfect work from home companion! When you’re sitting there working on your computer every once in a while, she will want to show love, so she will jump up to give you a hug or she will try to slowly crawl into your lap. She is extremely loving and affectionate. She knows how to sit on command and loves rolling onto her back for belly rubs. This girl loves meeting new doggy friends. She gets really excited at first, so give her a chance to show you what a good girl she is. She has more of a rowdy play style, so we could see her fitting in a home with higher energy doggy siblings, or dogs that don’t mind showing her the right ways to behave. She became instant best friends with the dogs she met here at the rescue. Maribella loves praise more than anything in the world, so she will often look to her people to get approval throughout play time, which is great! She will be very tuned in with her person, whoever that may be. Could it be you? Maribella is one of those girls that is going to be deeply loyal, caring, and attentive to her family. She does all of this while still being respectful of new people without being overly eager. Maribella is very gentle with kids! She hung out with her fosters son, age 7 and seemed very comfortable from the beginning. With no hesitation at all, she wanted to give him kisses. She’s pretty confident, she doesn’t seem scared of anything, including when her fosters young son was throwing a balloon around in the air and hitting her with it. Her tail continued to wag. We could see her being a family dog with kids. She’s extremely affectionate, she’ll slip in gentle kisses here and there. Maribella really wants to hug you and she’ll put her head on your shoulder for a really long hug if you will have her. She will look up at you with her puppy dog eyes looking into yours, and wants to give and get love. Even with strangers that she meets out in public. She loves everyone she meets, especially the attendants working at pet stores because she knows they have all the tasty treats and are definitely dog lovers. Speaking of public outings, Maribella loves to be social and go places. Some of her favorite places are the local neighborhood park and the pet store! She loves going to the park and seeing all the squirrels (she dreams about chasing them), and watching all the passerby’s and smelling all the smells. She does good with other dogs passing her or when there is another dog near by not was she startled or concerned about joggers, mom’s passing by with strollers, kids saying hello to her, or even the excitement at the splash pad area. She was just a sweet little lady happy to be out enjoying the sunshine. We are happy to test this girl with nothing you need us to in order to ensure it’s a perfect match. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
There's nothing that I love more than a big dog with a gentle soul. Bill Nye has that special spark in his golden brown eyes that instantly draw you in making every moment with him feel unique. He's the kind of dog that wins you over instantly with his loyalty, gentle nature, and loving spirit. Whether he's showing off his funny antics, curling up for some snuggles, or gazing up at you with those soulful eyes, you'll quickly see he's in a league of his own. He will be that dog that you will never be able to forget. Watch his video and fall in love with this sweet boy: https://youtu.be/KOjA3yVb9IU?si=R3ocAg8hKYxrkmrt Bill Nye is believed to be a pittie/lab mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 69 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. When Bill greets new people, he is more on the shy side but it does not take long for him to be leaning into you for affection and slowing inching his way into your lap. That's why we like to call him a distinguished gentleman because of the way he shows his affection with gentle nudges and thoughtful closeness. He's never over the top either or love bombing you with you kisses. He gives you just enough and will gladly offer more if you ask. It's the perfect mix. You'll see in his video how happy and excited he gets with the people the he loves. His inner puppy comes out and he turns into the happiest wiggliest guy. Just image coming home to that type of greeting every time you walk through the door. This boy sure does know how to make you feel special and like the most important person in the world. Bill is dog friendly and did great meeting all of the dogs we introduced him too. His gentle natured personality even shows it self when meeting new dogs. He'll do a little sniff, say hello and then he's off doing his own thing, finding a spot to lay in the grass and bask in the sun, or exploring all the smells. Bill has met a handful of dogs, all with different personalities and has shown us that he has a love for those confident lady friends. He is not instantly playful with other dogs, just like with people, he likes to get to know his friends first before showing his playful side. For the most part, he gives off more of the laid back, distinguished gentleman, hang back and watch type vibes around other dogs. He is completely unbothered when other dogs are playing around him having a good time and is even tolerant when the dogs accidentally bump into him during a play session. He just stands there and has this look of, "oh sorry friend, I didn't realize I was in your way." LOL that really is the best way to describe him, a chill laid back gentleman. When he does play, he loves to play chase and run as fast as he can in circles around the yard with his best friend chasing him. It's a true joy to watch. In a home, Bill would be best placed with a lady furry friend that gives him some time to warm up, enjoys the company of other dogs, and appreciates a game or two of tag you're it. He would also do great as your one and only too if you don't have other dogs. He does not need the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable or to fulfill his energy needs. He would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can sunbathe, porch sit with you, and just enjoy the fresh air. He is a mellow guy and more of a Netflix and chill, movie marathon, dinner at home date night type of buddy. He'll gladly go on a leisurely walk through the neighborhood or hangout with you in the back yard while you garden. It doesn't take much for him to make him happy, he's a laid back home body looking for a cozy bed to sleep on and a family to love him. Bill is very gentle when taking treats, walks like a true gent on leash, is crate trained and potty trained, and has wonderful house manners. We have not seen Bill with kids just yet and we can certainly arrange that for you. Based off what we know about him so far, we believe he would do best with older kids due to their calm natures as well. We are willing to test Bill Nye with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
7.5 months old, adopted her at 3 months. Found abandoned in a park, brought to a neighbor, who put her up on NextDoor and five hours later she came home with me! She is the sweetest, silliest, FUNNIEST girl -- probably 5 of 7 days a week, I end up with either my face or abs sore from laughing. She needs new people because she has turned out to be a high-energy girl. Based on her appearance and vibe, neighbor lady and I were thinking pitty/labby. I've had both and known several others well, but it soon became clear that we were working with something else. Cue the DNA test: 42% boxer, 38% pit, 13% Staffy, 7% supermutt. I am now having a significant and debilitating health issue, single/live alone, and am just not able to give her as much exercise and interaction as she needs. We have given it our all, she's just not happy, and it breaks my heart. She needs 2+ people -- solo person having sick/off days really affects her. She will absolutely THRIVE with more people/activity.
