Story

We rescued Zoey in June 2021. Her birthdate is listed as 10/2/2020 and she is an American Staffordshire mix weighing in at about 60 lbs. Her DNA results are in the photos. She is extremely athletic and wants to be very active. We walk a couple miles each morning where she also has time to run freely. She is super smart, which leads to her being mischevious when she is bored. We have attended training groups from the start and she is trained to stay, sit, heel, come/touch, wait and other basics. We are not able to offer her the outlet for her energy she needs. We do not have any children in the house and I would not trust her around them without training. She loves to run in the pack and would do great with a couple dogs she could play with. She is the BEST cuddler ever. She is happiest outdoors and will lay in the sun all afternoon when it is warm. We want her to be in a place where she can run. She learns very quickly and is 100% motivated by food.

This dog is located in Houston, TX but is available for transport to this area. The adoption fee includes transport as well. Athena is 2 years old and the BEST dog. She is potty trained, got great house manners, good with kids, dogs and all people. She is crate trained, loves to play fetch, is so good she goes to daycare weekly and is LOVED there by all the employees. She would make a wonderful family dog and is ready for her new, forever home. She is spayed, vaccinated, negative for heartworm disease and current on heartworm and flea preventative. She has no known medical issues and is a healthy active pup. Dobby is approximately 6-8 months old and very friendly. She was found as a stray and was placed into a foster home with other dogs. She loves to play with them and her fosters kids and is very social. She is shy when she first meets new people but takes no time to warm up. She is submissive initially with other dogs when she meets them and is eager to please her family. Luckily we were able to make space in a foster home where she gave birth to 8 healthy pups 2 days later. She has been a wonderful mama dog with her pups. Kona is growing into a wonderful, sweet, loving and happy girl and is eager to find her forever home. She is one of the more shy and less outgoing of the litter so would do best in a home where she can go to training and have lots of socialization. Due to breed restrictions the puppies are not available to any rental situations and all applicants must have 5 years vet history with a previous pet.
