Story
I raised Ruger since he was 3 weeks old. I had to bottle feed him. Unfortunately he was attacked by another dog when he was 6 months old. So he doesn't play well with other animals. He's never bitten anyone or hurt any other animal. He just gets real excited. Ruger's a big lover with a lot of energy so the adopter should be someone who's very active. Unfortunately I have to re-home him because I have to move across the country in an attempt to get and stay sober. I can't take him with me or I would. Ideally the perfect situation would be someone willing to foster him for me for 6 months.

Story
Minnow is a goofy, happy 3 year old, 55 pound American Staffordshire/Lab mix that is the perfect companion. She is a delightful girl, always making her foster parents laugh. Whether it is taking a walk, a hike, playing with her toys, lounging, she is a great companion, She is a medium energy gal who gets the zoomies at walk time, and then relaxes on the couch after. She is satisfied with 2 potty breaks and one 45" walk on weekdays, and stays home well on her own. She is easy to train and knows many training cues. Minnow loves walks, hikes, cuddling on the couch, playing with her plushy toys, fetching her ball and being with her people. We seek a home with a female,, and if there is a man/men, they are gentle and patient, allowing her to develop comfort and attachment at her pace. Thus far, she meets new people well. She currently lives in an apartment, and receives two short 15" walks plus 1 45" walk on weekdays. We will be seeking a home with a yard, but it is a testament to her calm personality that she lives so well in an apartment. Minnow gets along with other dogs. No cats; she chases. She has not been around children and has seemed wary of them. Teens who are calm and gentle will be fine. Minnow is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All of her worldly belonging come with her, including: leash, collar, harness, rain coat, food dish and mat, dog bed, kong, stuffies, lick mat, treats, small amount/remaining food, dog shampoo and nail clipper. Her adoption fee is $250. On drives over 30", she has sometimes gotten car sick and sometimes now. Meds and behavioral fixes have not yet been tried; we can discuss. A great home for Minnow and her must haves include: 1. An owned home with a securely fenced yard. 2. Dog savvy adopters who have plenty of time to spend with their pet. 3. Folks who will give this girl all of the love, warmth, good quality care and food that she deserves. 4. Adopters who will include her in their fun activities. Minnow would love to start the new year in her forever home, so if you are interested, run don't walk, to inquire or apply! To Inquire: please send an email to: awoofovermyhead@gmail.com. ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Papaya! Papaya is a 1-year-old, medium sized spayed female Lab mix currently fostered in San Antonio, Texas (transport available to approved adopters!). She’s a sweet, happy, people-loving pup who enjoys her daily walks, rides calmly in the car, and is fully housebroken and crate trained. Papaya sleeps through the night, loves her chew toys and rope tugs, and is a smart, eager-to-please girl who’s made great progress with her training. Papaya is playful and social with other dogs, reading their cues well and adjusting her energy accordingly. She even enjoys fence-line play with a neighbor’s Doberman! She stays neutral on walks when it’s just her and her foster mom. She should not live with cats at this time, and while she hasn’t lived with kids, her bouncy puppy energy makes her best suited for homes with older children or dog-savvy families. Papaya would thrive in a moderately active home that enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. She’d love another friendly dog in the home but could do well as a solo pup with the right guidance. Her foster adores how loving, cuddly, and gentle she is—Papaya thinks everyone she meets owes her a belly rub and happily leans right in for snuggles. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate young dog who’s ready to be your best friend, Papaya is your girl! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
This is Rosie she is 7 years old. She has a fun personality. Loves to go for walks and play with the kids but her favorite thing to do is sleep. We purchased her from a pet shop and she is AKC registered pure bred. We have all paperwork for her as well. We really do not want to re-home her but unfortunately we are not able to give her the time she needs anymore and it breaks my heart to see her sad. She is amazing with kids and very gentle, loves to literally snuggle on your chest like she doesn't weigh 50 pounds. Any questions you have or more photos let me know we would love to find her a good home. Some addition information about her health: She gets dermatitis if its too hot or hot spots. She has cherry eyes and has ever since she was a puppy we just clean and moisturize regularly.
