Story
Meet Magee, a 1.5-year-old neutered male Staffordshire Terrier who is a true "force of nature" in the best way possible! 🌪️🐕 Just like his namesake, this boy is always on the move and has never met a human stranger he didn't instantly love. Magee is the definition of a social butterfly-he is incredibly outgoing and greets every person with maximum enthusiasm and a wagging tail that could power a small city! 💖✨Because he's a young athlete with super high energy, he's still working on his "gentlemanly" ways. 🐾 Currently, he lacks a bit of manners (he's a jumper and a leaner!), so he's looking for a dedicated partner who is excited about positive reinforcement training and can help him channel all that zest into focus. 🎾 He does have dog reactivity, which means he'd prefer to be your "one and only" star and will need a handler who can keep him focused on walks. If you're an active person looking for a ride-or-die companion who will match your energy and shower you with unbridled affection, Magee is ready to run right into your heart! 🏃‍♂️🏠 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 68.6 Age: 1yrs 6mths 2wks

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Papaya! Papaya is a 1-year-old, medium sized spayed female Lab mix currently fostered in San Antonio, Texas (transport available to approved adopters!). She’s a sweet, happy, people-loving pup who enjoys her daily walks, rides calmly in the car, and is fully housebroken and crate trained. Papaya sleeps through the night, loves her chew toys and rope tugs, and is a smart, eager-to-please girl who’s made great progress with her training. Papaya is playful and social with other dogs, reading their cues well and adjusting her energy accordingly. She even enjoys fence-line play with a neighbor’s Doberman! She stays neutral on walks when it’s just her and her foster mom. She should not live with cats at this time, and while she hasn’t lived with kids, her bouncy puppy energy makes her best suited for homes with older children or dog-savvy families. Papaya would thrive in a moderately active home that enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. She’d love another friendly dog in the home but could do well as a solo pup with the right guidance. Her foster adores how loving, cuddly, and gentle she is—Papaya thinks everyone she meets owes her a belly rub and happily leans right in for snuggles. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate young dog who’s ready to be your best friend, Papaya is your girl! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Akira, a 5.5 year old spayed female, Staffordshire mix, 60lbs. She is in foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Meet Akira! Have you ever seen a cuter face in your life?! We didn’t think so. This sweet girl was saved off the euthanasia list with only minutes to spare. She has been waiting patiently for nearly nine months for her forever home and hasn’t received a single adoption application. Honestly, we can’t understand why. Akira is fully crate-trained and knows her basic commands. This girl has the sweetest puppy eyes and wants nothing more than a person of her own that will lounge and snuggle with her. She’s a big love bug who thinks she’s a tiny lap dog. During the day you can find her snoozing on a comfy dog bed until it’s time to go for a walk. She listens and follows commands well and takes treats incredibly gently. To keep occupied she chews on bones or throws her stuffed toys from the bed and jumps down to get them. Akira adores people and enjoys hanging out with calm, submissive pups. She would be okay as the only dog in her new home as her true dream is to be your one and only; the apple of your eye. This big-hearted girl is such a kind soul, and we’d love nothing more than to see her finally meet her forever best friend. In return, she promises a lifetime of unconditional love! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
