Its impossible to not smile when you see those big ears and happy face come running to you! Guinness doesn't just love people he loves making new friends with every dog he meets. (No cats for this boy, though!) He is a social butterfly. This boy is happy, loving, energetic, and always ready for a play date or an adventure. Turn in an application today and come get one of Guinness hugs. A volunteer had this to say, "Guinness is a very sweet boy who is not fully aware of his size and strength. He needs a little training to learn not to jump up and/or pull on his leash, but at heart is a goofball gentle giant."

Bogie has a lot of energy. With more time and walks we believe he would calm down. He defiantly needs to burn off energy daily to be happy and this may change with age. Bogie has not had much leash training and will pull on a leash he is a strong boy so it will take someone strong to leash train time. On 02/16/24 Bogie was cat tested and we feel he would do best in a home with no cats. While Bogie is a sweetheart and loves people he just needs some TLC. Please call 707-459-4900 to make an appointment to visit Bogie.

Story
Are you looking for a gorgeous, active large breed young dog? if so, Chewy is the dog for you. Chewy is a happy, affectionate and playful boy, a mix of shepherd, terrier and pittie. He has a great personality and will bring lots of love, smiles and laughs to his furever home. Chewy loves taking long walks and hikes; chasing balls, especially those that squeak. Chewy is smart and already knows how to sit, lay down and wait for a command to eat his food or take a treat. He is also house trained, takes treats gently, sleeps in his crate, is great on his walks, and is not a big barker. He also loves a good belly rub. The ideal home for Chewy would be a loving, active family with previous dog experience. He is an excellent snuggler and will also curl up with you on the couch and calmly chew on a toy. He is so loving and eager to please you cannot help falling in love with him. Letting him be the only animal in the house who gets all of your attention will win his heart. Chewy is neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted for an appointment. Chewy's adoption fee is sponsored by a Jelly's Place volunteer.

Story
Hi everyone! Unfortunately I am having to rehome my sweet dog Butter:(( I recently adopted her from the shelter about 2 months ago and I am unable to give her the full patience and attention she needs. She is around 9 months old and fully vaccinated .She is one of the sweetest dogs and gets along with everybody and other pets! Unfortunately I have run into some issues with training her and i feel she would thrive in a family who had more time to focus on training her. It breaks my heart having to make this decision but I ultimately feel it’s what’s best for both of us! So if you are interested in giving this adorable girl a home please let me know , I just want to make sure she’s going to a good family 🌼🌼🌼

Story
Adoptable Dog Stevie: Check out this girl's rare lineage and distinctive beauty! Meet Stevie, beautiful in her unique, one of a kind-ness! This blonde bombshell is believed to be a Central Asian Shepherd, possible blend, roughly 2 years old, 85 lbs, spayed, vaxed, microchipped and is looking for a family who appreciates her charm! PACC has been asked to help rehome Stevie because she and her canine sister get along great - until they don't. While the family isn't clear who starts the arguments, we want to err on the side of caution and find Stevie a home where she can be the sole doggess and her sister can be the same. The girls like to Face Time, just not under the same roof, if you follow our drift... Stevie boasts a myriad of superpowers: She's a people enthusiast, never meeting a person she doesn't adore. Humans find her irresistible (PACC being no exception) Bred to be a working dog, she's from the generation that throws out traditional job descriptions and writes their own - she aspires to be "THE" family dog and we don't want to stifle her entrepreneurial ambitions Stevie is super playful and puppy-like without the puppy downside of housetraining. While energetic in short bursts, she balances her day with napping and occasional and highly entertaining "zoomies" She likes her feline friends and tries hard to entice them to play. Blank stares are not a deal breaker in her book Stevie prefers play to walks—and LOVES treat toys and puzzles. It's important to her to keep her brain cells sharp Stevie is great on leash and can go for walks but when she is tired you'll know it cause she plops down (typically 15-30 minutes into a walk). With a good tug and motivational talk she'll continue on like the good girl that she is If Stevie sounds like a good fit with your situation COPY AND PASTE THE LINK TO THE adoption application into your browser and we will be in touch: No other dogs, cats ok, moderately active household or one that likes to keep the dogs brain occupied through games; children in the home 10 or older because little humans take time, dogs take time and few families have time for both; no need to follow in-fashion breed trends since Stevie's lineage and unique beauty is rare! I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMeet Tri Tip! About Me: I'm Tri Tip, the resilient tripod Malinois with a heart of gold! I had a rough start, coming in as a stray after being hit by a car in East Oakland. But thanks to the love and care of my foster parents, I've bounced back stronger than ever. Energetic & Smart: Despite losing a leg, I'm still as energetic and intelligent as they come!  I thrive on mental stimulation and love showing off my problem-solving skills. I love exploring the great outdoors and learning new tricks. Sit, down, paw—you name it, I've mastered it! Just watch out, I 'm a crate escape artist, and too much time confined makes me distressed. Affectionate & Loving: Despite my rocky start, I'm a friendly and affectionate pup through and through. I adore cuddles and will happily lay my head on your lap for endless pets and scratches. Ideal Home: I'm searching for a forever home with someone who understands my journey and can provide the love and care I deserve. An active owner who can keep up with my energy and shower me with affection would be paw-fect!  While I might not suit young kids, older children might be okay. I can be mouthy when excited, so patience and training are crucial. And don't forget, I might need a little extra help with crate time. Plus, I'll need just as much mental enrichment as physical exercise to keep my clever mind sharp and engaged. Ready to open your heart and home to a pup who's been through it all? I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:4We're thrilled to introduce you to Miriam, a gentle and resilient soul who is eagerly awaiting her forever home. Miriam may initially appear reserved, but with a little patience and understanding, she opens up beautifully. I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:10Meet Forest, a handsome 3-year-old Malinois mix with a fluffy black and tan coat and a tail that curls with joy! This energetic pup (clocking in at a playful 47 lbs) is all about exploring the world at his own pace. While independent around other dogs, Forest thrives with the right companions – think calm, confident canine friends who can match his playful spirit. Forest is a quick learner with tons of potential! He'd love a home with a patient owner who can teach him loose leash walking and basic commands. With a little training, this eager-to-please pup will be mastering tricks in no time. While Forest enjoys the company of other dogs, he might also shine as a solo pup with plenty of playtime and doggy social interaction. A spacious yard to run and explore would be the icing on the cake for this energetic guy. Forest is a bundle of love and playful energy waiting to brighten your life!
