We adopted Finlo in June of 2024. We wanted an English mastiff because we've had 4 of those. But we had not had a puppy for many years. Finlo has a sweet personality and needs a good deal of attention. He has been very destructive, which I believe is because the Anatolian Shepard is an outdoor dog that needs a lot of exercise and room to run. Finlo needs a home in the country. He would make a great guardian dog. He doesn't belong in an urban environment with two seniors. Finlo is doing pretty good on recall, will sit and; down for treats. He's good on a leash and gets along with our elderly bloodhound, but he is too powerful and rowdy for her (and for us).

Story

I love my dog so much. He is such a lovable dog and he will love you back. Unfortunately life circumstances came up and as hard as it is, it is the best decision for both me and him to have someone who can better take care of him overall he’s a great dog his house trained And great with other people. our life changed after he was attacked by another dog in a dog park. Unfortunately this has severely traumatized him and me going outside, especially in San Francisco, where there’s many dogs all the time, brings him so much anxiety. I have tried dog trainers, medication and exposure therapy which has helped but inevitably he needs somebody either with a backyard or a car so he can escape the city. I love him so much and the next person will too.

Meet Cookie! Weighing around 75 pounds, Cookie is a total goofy sweetheart who loves people. Cookie is very affectionate and loves to snuggle. Cookie can be selective with other dogs, especially while on leash, but does great with a proper introduction. Cookie knows all kinds of commands, is housebroken, and is very food motivated. Due to her size, she would likely do best in a home without small children (although dog-savvy children 10+ would be okay). She has a lot of energy, and would love to be a part of life's adventures with you!

Meet Sky, 2 yr old mix, neutered male (Anatolian shepherd and pit-bull is our guess) needs a new loving home. My parents have had him since he was 10 weeks old. He gets along with other dogs and people. My parents are older folks and don’t have the time and energy Sky needs for proper training, consistency and structured exercise. He would be much better off with a couple or single person who knows how to mean business with a neutral demeanor. Sky has resource guarding and alpha challenger issues. These can all be well managed with the right training, follow through and neutral calm demeanor. I am a trainer myself and would be willing and happy to work with whomever decides to re-home Sky as a curtesy. Giving him a safe loving and well balanced home would be worthwhile enough as a payment of my gratitude in giving back with my training expertise. Dancer was left at a distant shelter as a under-aged puppy at 6 weeks old. He was dirty and timid so the shelter put him with Prancer cattle dog mix puppy also 6 weeks old. We rescued both of them and now they are doing great at their hero puppy foster home. They will get a great start since their foster home is also a trainer. Both are playful and adorable. Dancer seems to be the more outgoing one. More info. to come as they relax and learn. Dancer is more outgoing than Prancer Video from first 2 hours at their foster home. Theo was found as a stray. I got him as an emergency foster and he’s been such an easy to train, loving, timid boy. Shy at first and will hide until he knows the coast is clear, once ready to say hello he is goofy. He moves very slowly and hardly makes a sound around the house. If he sees or hears something suspicious he gives a deep, gentle bark to let you know. When it’s dinner time you get to see how he bucks like a bronco before he sits politely and waits for the, ok, to eat. At 2 years old and 116lbs he still has a bit of growing to do. He has had absolutely no issues in the last year I’ve had him. He gets along with all the dogs and lets you bath him and clip his nails with no fuss. Large breeds like him take longer to mature so even though he is technically an adult, he’s still a big baby that needs guidance to build confidence. Looking for a perfect home should be easy. He loves cuddles, treats, and going out for ‘sniffaris’
