To apply or learn more about Isco, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/2/isco Indigo is a 4 yr neutered cattle dog whippet mix (best guess) in need of a special home! Adopted as a puppy through HFP back in 2020, Indigo is looking for a quiet, calm adult home as your one and only! ✅ no separation anxiety ✅ housetrained, crate trained ✅ wonderful base of basic training ✅ smart & trainable ✅ cutest submissive grin/wiggle butt when you come home ✅ moderate activity (relaxed inside but loves to fetch and play!) ✅ doing much better at car travel He was adopted as a 4 month old puppy through HFP but sadly returned 3 years later -- he is currently in a Sacramento Foster home but is really in need of a home of his very own as his foster cannot keep him forever. More about Isco: he has a great base of training and ready to impress you with all his cues, including: Sit, Wait/Stay, Bed, Crate, Down and Off. He walks well on leash and doesn’t pull a ton. He LOVES to sniff everything during his walkies aka Sniffaris ( but doesn’t stop to mark, only sniff). He would do best in a quieter neighborhood as very busy places can make him nervous. Moderate energy -- he loves playing fetch in the backyard and a long daily walk would be ideal for Isco. In the home he is relaxed and independent. He has lived with 2 small dogs in the past and may be able to make dog acquaintances with slow intros but does not have a ton of experience with other dogs at this time. He would do best as prince of the palace as a solo dog in the home. Indigo previously lived with a cat who he loved to play with but can chase other cats, he may do well in a home with a well-matched cat friends; we ALWAYS recommend slow intros into the home/early separation for cats/dogs as they get to know one another. Indigo has the CUTEST prance and loves to play fetch. He is treat motivated which makes continued training and intros to people much more of a breeze. Housetrained, Crate Trained, around 55 lbs. Neutered, Vaccinated, Vetted, ready to be yours! Indigo adoption donation is sponsored. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!

Story
Loyal, sweet, and super smart - Tiana is the complete package! Tiana is about 4-5 months old and is an adorable girl who bonds strongly. She is the master of cuddles and is such a smart cookie who picks up new tricks in a breeze. She is looking for an active family who can keep her busy mind and body happy with lots of fun and enrichment. Tiana currently weighs about 30lbs, but is slightly underweight. We estimate that she will be around at least 50-60lbs when fully grown. Tiana was found as a stray and brought to a Northern California animal shelter. She was found to have a broken leg and was prescribed crate rest to allow her body to heal. Tiana is now all healed from her injury and ready to start acclimating to normal activity.  Tiana has a pretty typical herding-breed habit of bonding to one person in the home, and everyone else is secondary. While she loves making friends, she is the type of pup who always wants to be by her person's side and would make a wonderful sidekick for a single person, or a couple where someone is willing to be the "spare human". Tiana is such a smart girl who already has learned sit, down, touch, go to your mat, shake, and inside (to go into her crate). She would be a wonderful companion for someone who loves training and would like a dog who enjoys learning new things. She can learn just about anything if a tasty treat is involved. Tiana has done well meeting other pups, but can be a little shy around larger dogs. She would benefit from having an easygoing dog to help mentor her, but she could do fine as an only dog with opportunities to make dog friends and build her confidence around other dogs. Tiana has done great living with dog-savvy cats. She can be a little obnoxious trying to make friends, so she may be too much for a super-shy cat. Tiana has done well living with teenagers. Tiana has been doing very well with her housetraining, but is still a learning puppy and will need a family committed to helping her learn. She has done well sleeping in her crate overnight, but is still learning to be comfortable being home alone and would do best with someone who can slowly acclimate her to it.  Tiana is such a wonderful girl who is going to make someone very lucky. If you think that might be you, submit an application today!   Tiana's adoption fee is $350.   A pply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
Meet Rusty! Rusty is a sweet and playful 1.5-year-old black and white neutered male who’s looking for a new home due to his owner’s housing situation. Rusty has been an inside dog his whole life and is fully potty trained. He’s also up-to-date on all his vaccinations. This kind boy has never been around children, but he adores squeaky toys and would love a home where he can keep enjoying them. Rusty is not currently at the shelter, as this is a courtesy post. If you’re interested in giving Rusty the loving home he deserves, please contact Lauri at 530-220-8992 or email richardson2009@comcast.net. Let’s help Rusty find his perfect forever home! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Layla is a beautiful mix — 45% Husky, 47% Australian Cattle Dog, and 100% sweetheart. She’s about 50 lbs with the kindest eyes and biggest heart. Full of energy, she loves walks, fetch, adventures, and belly rubs. She can be skittish with dogs at first but warms up and enjoys playing; her experience with cats is unknown. At home she spends time outdoors in a small yard, but she’d thrive with more space and attention. Layla knows sit, stay, lay down, and leave it — especially when treats are involved! Smart, loyal, and eager to please, she’s the perfect match for someone active and outdoorsy. This has been a very hard decision, but with my busy travel schedule I know she deserves a home that can give her the time and love she needs.
