Story
Meet Rusty! Rusty is a sweet and playful 1.5-year-old black and white neutered male who’s looking for a new home due to his owner’s housing situation. Rusty has been an inside dog his whole life and is fully potty trained. He’s also up-to-date on all his vaccinations. This kind boy has never been around children, but he adores squeaky toys and would love a home where he can keep enjoying them. Rusty is not currently at the shelter, as this is a courtesy post. If you’re interested in giving Rusty the loving home he deserves, please contact Lauri at 530-220-8992 or email richardson2009@comcast.net. Let’s help Rusty find his perfect forever home! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Story
Brock was found hobbling through the streets of Woodland last December. At first we thought he was injured but it turned out he was missing multiple toes on his front paws, likely since birth. Veterinarians determined that his foot condition does not cause him any pain as long as he has soft enough surfaces to rest on. At the shelter, the concrete floor of his kennel and the gravel paths were so hard on his feet. But luckily, this three-year-old Heeler mix landed a wonderful foster home with one of our amazing volunteers. He began to thrive! His favorite activities are sunbathing, playing fetch with a soft frisbee, and going on short neighborhood walks. He's also an expert-level cuddler! In Brock's dream home he'd be the spoiled, only pet. He's already potty-trained and so well-behaved in the house. Overall, he's very low-maintenance! This sweet boy deserves to be pampered in a loving forever home. His adoption fee is sponsored by Blue Note Brewing Company and includes the cost of his neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines. Email us at adopt@yoloshelter.org to schedule a meet and greet with Brock! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Story
Tater was left at about 6 weeks old in a plastic bag, hanging on the doorknob of a fire station. He came to us through a friend of the family. He is now about 1 year old. We think Tater needs an active home that is able to spend time finishing his training, playing with him and doing all the things a young dog likes to do. Tater is smart, friendly and playful. He hasn't yet learned how to curb his impulses, and stop playing with our other pets (a smaller dog and 2 cats) when they aren't interested in playing. He is pretty good with using a pee pad when indoors, and the commands "sit", and "leave it". We started working on leash walking previously, but he still doesn't like to have his harness put on and seems anxious when going for a walk outside. He also doesn't like his nails trimmed. He isn't destructive (except to soft dog toys) but really likes dog treats that take a while to chew/eat and does not destroy rubber, Kong type toys.

These pups are in Woodland, California too!

Story
Howler is a 1 year old intact male Australian Shepherd mix. He is looking for a new home as his current owner cannot keep him. He was born and raised on a farm and has working dog energy. He requires lots of mental and physical stimulation. His current owners keep him outside, so it is unknown how he does in a home environment. Howler has shown some possession issues and has been aggressive over food.  If you are interested in meeting Howler, please reach out to his current owners at: nicolesabate97@gmail.com All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
