APPLY FOR RUSSET   Hey there! I’m Russet, a heeler mix born on December 3rd. Right now, I tip the scales at about 5lbs, but I’ll grow into a medium-sized fella when I grow up. I’m scheduled for neutering soon, and I'm all set with my puppy vaccinations, deworming, and microchip.   I’m your typical puppy, full of energy! My favorite activities include frolicking, catching some Z's, and doing it all over again! I thrive on fun games that challenge my brain, and I’d be thrilled to explore the world on adventures with you!   I get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. I would absolutely adore a family who can spend quality time with me, teaching me everything from potty training to cool tricks! So what do you say? Would you like to make me a part of your family?   ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM ##2634277##

Story
Not only is this girl pretty as a picture, but you can probably tell by looking at her pictures, that FUN is in her dna! She has a zest for life…full of energy, she’s lively & outgoing, making her a lot of fun to be around! Margo seems to love everybody that she meets, adults as well as children and she is good with other dogs. She was pregnant when she came to us and had puppies shortly after her arrival. Once she weaned her puppies (she was a great mom), she tested positive for heartworms. This sweet girl raised her puppies…just completed her heartworm treatment and has been given a clean bill of health…now she’s ready for a great new life of her own! Margo is 16 months old (dob 9/16/24), weighs 33 pounds, has been spayed, microchipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Margo is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee includes transportation.

Story
Windy is going to be a whole lot of fun for some lucky family. She is adventurous, active, outgoing and has a zest for life. She is a friendly and happy girl as well and seems to love everyone that she meets. She really enjoys the outdoors too, so if you need a hand with the cattle, a hiking partner or running partner, I think she’ll be a good one. She gets along fine with other dogs, but NO CATS! Given her activity level, she will need to be adopted by a fun and ACTIVE family. Windy is 4-5 years old and weighs 35 pounds. She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested and is current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Windy is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
We got Koda from a family in MA. He is house trained and he is a very smart dog. He does good around older kids but is timid with kids under 6ish. He has a lot of energy and he is an Austranian Shepherd toy, meaning he is about 12 poinds and that is his full size. He can be possessive. We are giving him up due to my wifes alergies.

Story
Meet Dobby, a friendly ~2 year old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog mix! This girl is the perfect size and full grown at about 40 lbs. She has the BEST giant ears, which is how she earned her name!  Dobby is a very sweet, outgoing girl who LOVES other dogs, people, and kids! Due to her exuberant nature, we recommend older kids 8+ as she may unintentionally knock over a small child. She attended doggy daycare while being fostered in TN, and she got along well with all of the dogs there. Since she has been in New England, she was fostered with two 120 lb Great Pyrs who she also got along very well with! Currently, she is being fostered in CT at another doggy daycare and is having a blast! She loves to play with her doggo friends and would be thrilled to have another young, playful pup to share her home with. Dobby does ok with dog savvy cats (will initially bark at them and will chase if they run, but she responds well to being told NO and she learned to respect the cat in her prior foster home).  She is an energetic girl who loves to play with other dogs, she also loves toys and a good game of tug! She would LOVE a fenced in yard of her own to get out her zoomies. Dobby would make an excellent hiking and/or running buddy, she would love to join you on all of your adventures and then nap on the couch with you afterwards (she loves to snuggle!). She also walks very well on leash and is not a big puller (unless she sees a squirrel or other critter). She is a super smart and trainable pup!  From Dobby's current foster:  "Dobby is definitely a high energy girl which has proved a perfect match for my high energy pups who don’t get enough play. Dobby gets along with everyone, sleeps like a rock through the night and loves a bone to keep her busy when it’s quiet time. Dobby is learning that excitement is always a good thing but jumping on someone is not always cool when you’re not prepared. Dobby is super smart and would love a job so if you have a dog who would love a play companion or if agility is your thing, Dobby is for you!" Dobby is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this special girl today! She is SO deserving of a furever home of her own! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2455233##
