Story
Dragon Lee is a sweet 6 month old, 30 pound, mixed breed pup that's ready to find his forevers. He loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and will be a pleasure to train as he grows up. He is going to be a perfect buddy for your walks and will happily snuggle with you on the couch to binge watch your favorite shows. If he seems like a good fit for your household, we'd love to hear from you. Dragon Lee is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Everything about Esty Bestie can be best described as absolute perfection. She is an incredibly sweet and loving girl who wants to be everyone’s best friend! She absolutely adores everyone she meets and melts into you any chance she gets. Esty has a heart of gold and radiates happiness and joy wherever she goes. You can't help but smile when you're around her, especially when she looks up at you with those gorgeous big brown puppy-dog eyes and her sweet, innocent grin. Watch her video and fall in love with her personality: https://youtu.be/mhVPWKQ1bV0?si=IuxM26VXixx6PgDv Esty Bestie is believed to be a Cattle dog/pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 52 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Esty is such an incredibly sweet and loving girl who wants to be everyone’s bestie! She absolutely loves everyone she meets and melts into you any chance she can get. She has a heart of gold and she is always beaming with happiness and smiles. She is a hoot and her tail never stops wagging. She would make a great family dog and has been around kids as young as 5 years old. Etsy was not phased by the running, jumping, screaming, or even when the little girl started doing cartwheels. She took treats gently from her and also let her put silly pom poms on her head. One thing that was also really impressive was the way that Etsy listened to the little girl and to us especially when a whole bowl of popcorn was spilled on the floor. She waited patiently while they cleaned everything up and then was so grateful once she got rewarded with all the popcorn. Etsy will fill your life with laughter and smiles. She loves to LOVE and she has so much to give. Though Etsy is such a love bug, she can be a little shy at first with new people and in new environments, especially once she arrives in her new home. It does not take long for her to open up and within minutes, she’s giving you all the kisses and snuggling so close to you. Esty is dog friendly and has been around a variety of different dogs all with different personalities and temperaments. She is not the playful type with other dogs and is more of a relaxed hangout type of girly that prefers to get attention from people. She is happy to be around dogs that have the same cool, calm, collected tempo as her. She does play everynow and then the cutest little play bows and loves to zoom around with her new friend in light hearted games of chase. In a home, she would do best with a medium energy male dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, isn't looking for a 24/7 playmate, and will enjoy an occasional game of chase here and there. She'll be perfect for that! Esty also does not need another dog in the home, so no worries there if you don't have a dog. She is so loving and affectionate that she has enough love to give that is equivalent to 3 dogs combined. She's something special! Esty would also do best in a home with no cats as she was a little too interested in our house cat Biggie. When it comes to training, Esty is ready and eager to learn! She loves treats and already knows a few basic commands such as sit, and down. You could probably even teach her how to dance too LOL. Esty is fairly easy to walk on a leash and only pulls every so often. Mainly, she'll pull towards something that smells yummy or interesting. She responds well to correction and wants to make you happy! Esty has wonderful house manners and is crate and potty trained. She will thrive with a semi-active family that enjoys frequent outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, going to the beach or even casual play time in the yard. A family or individual who appreciates nature and is ready to explore parks, trails, or snowy landscapes would be perfect. While she loves the great outdoors and loves to explore, Esty is also an affectionate gal at home and loves to bury her head into you for love. If you enjoy the outdoors but also cherish time spent relaxing indoors, Esty is the perfect fit. She has the potential to thrive in an apartment with proper exercise and socialization. Etsy would also do great in a home with a backyard as well, a place where she can stretch her legs, check out all of her favorite sniff spots, and roll around in the grass and sunbathe during those beautiful summer days. She has the potential to thrive in so many different environments. Etsy Bestie is simply THAT girl! We are willing to test Esty Bestie with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Juniper is a treasure of a dog, waiting for her forever home. Just look at those beautiful, bright amber eyes and freckled nose. Juniper is a gorgeous girl and a perfect medium size. She always upbeat and carries a smile on her face. Besides her looks, Juniper is also a very smart, trainable girl. The sky is the limit for her. She’s eager to learn. She’s also pretty athletic so she would be a great running companion. Or maybe you’ve always wanted to try dog sports like agility. Juniper would be perfect! And best of all, Juniper has a very sweet disposition with every person she meets. She craves attention from her people and will be a loyal companion for years to come! She would be perfectly content being an only dog or possibly one other canine companion that suits her fancy. Story
Barnaby is a young 7 month old pup that catches your eye and also your heart when you first meet him.  He is a wonderful young boy that weighs 34 pounds and should become a handsome adult dog that will weigh in the range of 50 pounds as an adult.  His life started with great hope but eventually the people who adopted this cute pup became cold hearted and treated him with physical hits and loud voices when he was not the perfect puppy.  A neighbor intervened and begged Critter Cavalry Rescue to take this young and innocent pup in to our program.  Barnaby escaped years of emotional and physical abuse.  He is such a bright and happy spirit that just needs some time to get his mind wrapped around the love that is being offered to him now.  No loud voices and the forgiveness when he is NOT perfect.  He is so nice and submissive and humble in spirit.  He just wants to be accepted and have fun with other dogs and maybe become good friends with a cat if needed.   His breed is more of a Shepherd/Heeler mix and we just adore his strong black and tan coat that is crowned with the best standup ears ever!   His face pleads with you to be happy with him and to be his FRIEND.  Can you imagine all these past months how sad it was not to feel love?  Critter Cavalry Rescue knows that there is a caring family, person,  young couple or empty nesters who just want to pour their love for a dog in need upon a boy like Barnaby.  He is neutered, had all his necessary shots, microchipped, healthy and truly not emotionally damaged.  He just needs that promise of kindness, steady guidance in gentle voices and love.   Love heals everything and makes us forget when love wasn't there in the past.  Barnaby will be a smart and easy dog to polish into a phenomenal companion influence in your daily life.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 24, 2026, 11:27 pm
