Story
Lexi was adopted through a rescue from a high kill shelter in Tennessee as a young puppy. I was told she got along with cats by the rescue. She became very aggressive towards my cat ( also a rescue) and over time has become so focused on hunting him down that it has become unhealthy for both pets. She treats this as if there is a wild animal loose in the house , panting, pacing and anxious. Aside from this , Lexi is a healthy, active, playful 2 year old. She loves other dogs once she gets to know them. She sleeps well in her own bed, and is house broken, loves to be outside ,has lots of energy, loves car rides and is a very loyal companion. It takes her s little while to get used to strangers. She needs a loving home without small animals ( other than dogs )due to her high prey instinct which is due to her breed. . She’s fawn colored with white markings and weighs 33lbs. She’s fine around older kids( over10) and will be a great pet in a home without cats or other small animals.

Story
Rocky is a gentle, soulful boy who has come such a long way and is patiently waiting for the right family to call his own. Fostered in Bethel, Connecticut since March 2024, Rocky is about about two-years-old and weighs 55 pounds. He is a fluffy American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and English Shepherd mix with a sensitive heart and a deep capacity for love. Rocky is an emotional, special-needs dog who isn’t the easiest pup to own, but he's worth it. What he truly needs is patience, understanding, and someone willing to let trust grow at his pace. When meeting new people, Rocky can be shy and cautious, especially with men, but with time and consistency his true personality shines through. With the people he trusts, Rocky is a total lovebug who adores belly rubs, snuggles, kisses, and curling up close at night. He is house-trained, crate-trained, non-destructive, and generally quiet, only barking when startled, which has improved greatly over time. He enjoys training sessions, puzzle toys, and food-motivated learning, making positive reinforcement especially effective for him. Rocky has also made huge strides with car rides and will now jump in on his own. Rocky thrives in calm, predictable environments and does best with a patient, experienced dog owner. He enjoys peaceful walks, light adventures, and time spent exploring nature, where he feels confident and happy. While he is fine with dogs in certain situations, he would do best as an only dog or possibly with a very calm companion after slow introductions. He is not suitable for a home with cats or small animals. Rocky is more of a homebody and not a fan of guests, so giving him space or crating him comfortably when visitors are over is recommended. Rocky has mild hip dysplasia, which is currently well managed with pain medication, allowing him to enjoy a good quality of life with moderate activity. He also takes anti-anxiety medication, which has made a noticeable difference in his confidence and overall comfort. A fully fenced, non-electric yard is important for Rocky so he can safely explore and build confidence. He would be happiest in a calm, quiet household with teens and up, where he can settle into a routine and form strong bonds. When first brought home, Rocky will need a few days of space with no forced interaction, grabbing, or pressure. Once trust is established, he becomes an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion who gives his whole heart to his person. Rocky is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and his adoption fee has been waived thanks to a generous donor. If you’ve ever wanted to help an introverted dog who prefers cozy nights in over a busy social life, Rocky might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. Story
🎸🐾 Meet Sly — we may not know where the Family Stone is… but we found the frontman. Cue the music, because this guy is bringing full band energy wherever he goes. Sly is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, just over 40 pounds of athletic, happy, black-and-white perfection — and let’s address the obvious: THOSE. EARS. We’re not saying they have their own zip code… but we’re also not not saying that. 📡 This guy is everything Aussie people are looking for: ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Up to date on shots ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Housebroken ✔️ Dog friendly ✔️ Loves people (like, a lot) Sly is smart, active, and ready to be your ride-or-die adventure buddy. Hiking? Yes. Running? Absolutely. Random burst of zoomies in the yard like he’s performing for a sold-out crowd? Also yes. He’s got that classic Aussie brain — meaning he’s always thinking, always watching, and probably already knows what you’re about to do before you do it. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be involved. Not just in your life… but like… in your business. His vibe? 🎤 “What are we doing today?” 🎤 “Can I come?” 🎤 “Great, I’m already in the car.” Sly thrives on activity, interaction, and having a person (or family) who appreciates a dog with both brains and personality. He’s not here to be a background character — he’s here to be your co-star. And when the day winds down? He’s more than happy to hang out, soak up attention, and recharge for tomorrow’s adventures. Adopt Sly — because life’s better when your best friend comes with a soundtrack. 🎶🐾💛

Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. Lulu is a really sweet dog and wants a home of her own. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is in San Antonio, TX and is available to be transported to your location with Your TX Rescue Connection transport. The fee includes adoption and transportation fee.
