Story

Cache is a wonderful boy who LOVES to snuggle, is wicked smart, and delights in taking long hikes and adventures. Cache has been trained well, knows many commands, kennel trained and is fully potty trained. Cache will be 5 this November and has been with me since he was 7 months old. The issue? Cache was attacked by a dog about 2 years ago out on hike and has since escalated to attacking other dogs in the home. Dogs he grew up with and loved. On a leash, he is not really reactive, but the moment he has to share space with another dog inside he quickly starts lashing out and attacking without remorse. I have taken him to training classes, tried thunder coats, and even some meds to keep him calm. The issue has only escalated despite all efforts. Cache would do AMAZING in a household with an active person or family with no other dogs. Cache lives with cats and has no issues with them at all, is even a little scared of them at times when they try to play with him.

Story

Rugby is a sweet and intelligent Red Heeler. We received him at 3 years old from a friend that moved and had a baby and could not care for Rugby. He loves to snuggle under your chin, and he love being close and comfy. When we received him he had never been on a leash or played with other dogs. His best friend is our moms dog, and Rugby and her play wonderful together. He is now 7 years old. We have a new grandbaby, and he has been over protected with him. Now that he is a toddler, he has shown aggressiveness with him by pushing him, snapping at him, and scratching him. We have decided that Rugby would be best with someone without small children. He also is aggressive with male dogs. He loves to go camping and hiking, but is protective at the campsite (much like most dogs are). We are hoping that a family with older kids or adults would want to love on him. He absolutely loves to go on walks, and is leash trained now. He is a great dog. Sweet. And would be a great companion.

We believe Bow to be a Shepherd mix who had been well taken care of until the time his owner allowed him to run at large. Bows nails have been kept trimmed, he is neutered, extremely friendly and loves attention. Bow do not seem to mind the other dogs in the shelter and walks well on a leash. He has been given his Parvo/lepto/distemper vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, he is heartworm negative, and microchipped. Our adoptions are $100 cash/local check and that includes the current year license. Our visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. We are located at 5066 County Home Rd. Hi, Name is Chip! I'm the type of dog that is gonna take time to get to know. I'm mostly scared and confused in being here. I'm not happy in my kennel so I do bark at you. You have to bribe me with hotdogs to get me to trust you. Once I get out on leash I'm fine but it still takes time for me to adjust. We don't know much about chip but to greet with other dogs is a must and to be tested around cats. I would say no to kids.
