Meet Gunner! Gunner is a lovable 5-year-old and he has quickly proven himself to be the ultimate “in-your-pocket” companion. This affectionate boy absolutely adores lap snuggles and treats — and he hasn’t missed a meal yet!  Gunner is wonderfully gentle with other animals. Cats are his friends — he’ll give them a curious sniff but never chases or bothers them. On his foster’s farm, he’s perfectly content watching and sniffing chickens, ducks, and turkeys without harming them. He’s also respectful around horses. He’s not your typical herd dog; he won’t try to move them, though he may give a bark from the fence just to say hello. He’s not much of a runner, but he enjoys leisurely walks and does well on a harness. Gunner is on the heavier side, so regular strolls and a healthy routine will help keep him feeling his best. A small yard suits him just fine — he goes out to potty and comes right back in when called. Gunner loves meeting new people and greets everyone with warmth and affection. If you’re searching for a devoted, gentle, snuggly companion who simply wants to be by your side, Gunner is ready to fill that role perfectly. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. Story
Cache is a wonderful boy who LOVES to snuggle, is wicked smart, and delights in taking long hikes and adventures. Cache has been trained well, knows many commands, kennel trained and is fully potty trained. Cache will be 5 this November and has been with me since he was 7 months old. The issue? Cache was attacked by a dog about 2 years ago out on hike and has since escalated to attacking other dogs in the home. Dogs he grew up with and loved. On a leash, he is not really reactive, but the moment he has to share space with another dog inside he quickly starts lashing out and attacking without remorse. I have taken him to training classes, tried thunder coats, and even some meds to keep him calm. The issue has only escalated despite all efforts. Cache would do AMAZING in a household with an active person or family with no other dogs. Cache lives with cats and has no issues with them at all, is even a little scared of them at times when they try to play with him.

July 2024: Noah is growing more confident. He still needs another dog to play with and follow. He is crate trained and needs a 6' fence. He is walking on a leash and had his first outing to Lowes this week and did great. Feb 2024: Noah is a happy high stepping 11 month old pup. He evens smiles. That being said he will need an experienced adopter, secure 6' fence, and an active playmate. He will adjust so much better with a playful dog to follow. He is totally crate trained and loves being outside playing with toys. He has been fearful since he was 2 months old Found alone in a road in Eastern KY. He walks fine on a leash and is very friendly at our public events at Petsmart. At the foster home, he is afraid of strangers. He will just need time and patience and will be an outstanding friendly playful pet. Update 9/5/23 His DNA is in and the picture included. He is a happy pup who high steps with happiness. He will do much better with a playmate and dog to follow. He is crate trained. Update 8/15/23 Noah is growing! he is doing well, getting used to being handled. He loves other dogs and needs a companion to follow and play with. He is doing great with crate training and needs to be gotten out quickly in the morning to avoid accidents. He smiles and high steps in excitement when you talk to him now! So cute. Probably going to be around 30-35 lbs. He is 6 months old and 25 lbs. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped.
