I'm a 7-month-old pup with a big heart and a gentle soul. When I first got to the shelter I was pretty shy, but my foster family has really helped me come out of my shell! I love having dog friends and could play with them all day-chasing, wrestling, and just being a goofy pup. I'm playful and super loving once I feel comfortable, but I can be a little shy at first. Give me a bit of patience and some kindness, and I'll be your loyal shadow and best buddy.

Tavi came to us after the sudden passing of a family member. She’s a very sweet, loving, and energetic dog that wants nothing more than to be by your side. She’s extremely smart and eager to please. She’s great with cats, kids, and small dogs. She hasn’t had much exposure to larger breed dogs, so she tends to be more hesitant around them. Unfortunately we just don’t have the time to give her the attention and care she deserves. She’d make a great companion in any active family household. She’s good in car rides and loves to adventure and explore.

Story

Cache is a wonderful boy who LOVES to snuggle, is wicked smart, and delights in taking long hikes and adventures. Cache has been trained well, knows many commands, kennel trained and is fully potty trained. Cache will be 5 this November and has been with me since he was 7 months old. The issue? Cache was attacked by a dog about 2 years ago out on hike and has since escalated to attacking other dogs in the home. Dogs he grew up with and loved. On a leash, he is not really reactive, but the moment he has to share space with another dog inside he quickly starts lashing out and attacking without remorse. I have taken him to training classes, tried thunder coats, and even some meds to keep him calm. The issue has only escalated despite all efforts. Cache would do AMAZING in a household with an active person or family with no other dogs. Cache lives with cats and has no issues with them at all, is even a little scared of them at times when they try to play with him.

July 2024: Noah is growing more confident. He still needs another dog to play with and follow. He is crate trained and needs a 6' fence. He is walking on a leash and had his first outing to Lowes this week and did great. Feb 2024: Noah is a happy high stepping 11 month old pup. He evens smiles. That being said he will need an experienced adopter, secure 6' fence, and an active playmate. He will adjust so much better with a playful dog to follow. He is totally crate trained and loves being outside playing with toys. He has been fearful since he was 2 months old Found alone in a road in Eastern KY. He walks fine on a leash and is very friendly at our public events at Petsmart. At the foster home, he is afraid of strangers. He will just need time and patience and will be an outstanding friendly playful pet. Update 9/5/23 His DNA is in and the picture included. He is a happy pup who high steps with happiness. He will do much better with a playmate and dog to follow. He is crate trained. Update 8/15/23 Noah is growing! he is doing well, getting used to being handled. He loves other dogs and needs a companion to follow and play with. He is doing great with crate training and needs to be gotten out quickly in the morning to avoid accidents. He smiles and high steps in excitement when you talk to him now! So cute. Probably going to be around 30-35 lbs. He is 6 months old and 25 lbs. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. Bright is the size of a Kelpie with German shepherd coloring & fur. He is around 2 years old & 46 lbs. He has a very shepherd personality who’s been through professional behavior training so he’s an incredibly talented guy but still has a goofball side. Bright may be well trained but personality is personality and he’s NOT compatible with young children or small animals. We do require participation in learning his training skills to make sure he’s the right fit forever. Bright is smart, bunch and SASSY! He loves toys & will do anything for a treat but would do best with an experienced dog owner. Bright is good in a crate, loves the car & would love to be the center of your world! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.
