Story
Hi, Name is Chip! I'm the type of dog that is gonna take time to get to know. I'm mostly scared and confused in being here. I'm not happy in my kennel so I do bark at you. You have to bribe me with hotdogs to get me to trust you. Once I get out on leash I'm fine but it still takes time for me to adjust. We don't know much about chip but to greet with other dogs is a must and to be tested around cats. I would say no to kids. Any additional information about me please ask the people in the office. To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-6pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. You may also submit an application online from our website at http://www.HelpTheAnimalsINC.com/adopt.

Howdy y'all! My name's Cowboy, pleased to make your acquaintance! I'm a 10-week-old Heeler mix. I just love meetin' new folks and reckon I can't get enough of playin' with other dogs. My foster family says I'm doin' real good at learnin' all the "big dog stuff". Life's been mighty fine since I left the shelter. I'm lookin' forward to findin' my furever family! Story
Hello Dolly.... This cute Cattledog mix is a hurricane Ida survivor. Yep, rode all the way from Louisiana. Dolly is timid and takes a bit to get to know but once you do she is very affectionate and loving. Sometimes overly loving as she thinks she may be a lap dog. Dolly will need a family who can keep working on her social skills. She is a herding dog and will "herd" kids so no little kids for her new home. Dolly is house trained as long as she gets to go out frequently. She gets along with most other dogs but does take a slow introduction. As you can suspect she is very scared of storms, gun shots and loud banging so she will need a place to hide to feel comfortable when they occur. To adopt go to www.libertyacresunited.com and submit an application. For more information on the animals available for adoption and more information on the Sanctuary please visit us a www.libertyacresunited.com and don't forget to follow us on Facebook

Story
With heavy hearts we need to find a new home for Hazel. We adopted her from Sicsa 3 years ago at 8 weeks old, after a family friend fostered her mom and litter of puppies. She is a sweetie - great with kids, cats, people she knows. Keeps us laughing with her energy and personality. She absolutely loves car rides, walks, playing tug of war and snuggling. She does has anxiety takes medication 2x a day. It seems to take the edge off for her. And she is very territorial. She loves her people and doesn't want anyone to hurt them. Sadly, that's the reason we now need to find her a new home. She has bitten strangers twice and we just don't think we are the right environment for her to stay safe and to keep others safe around her. She would do best with a large privacy fence or in a rural setting where she is not surprised by strangers coming into her yard very often. She has had obedience training, is treat motivated and obeys basic commands. House and crate trained as well!
