Story
Hi, Name is Chip! I'm the type of dog that is gonna take time to get to know. I'm mostly scared and confused in being here. I'm not happy in my kennel so I do bark at you. You have to bribe me with hotdogs to get me to trust you. Once I get out on leash I'm fine but it still takes time for me to adjust. We don't know much about chip but to greet with other dogs is a must and to be tested around cats. I would say no to kids. Any additional information about me please ask the people in the office. To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-6pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. You may also submit an application online from our website at http://www.HelpTheAnimalsINC.com/adopt.

Story
Whisper is just the sweetest spotted lady around. She is great with other dogs, both large and small, a mature lady of 40 lbs, 6-8 years old, still full of energy, but past all the puppy behavior. No household accidents, chewing, or whining. She is content to spend the afternoon playing in the yard, chilling in her crate (door open or closed), or snuggling up to you on the couch. She is good with either a dog door or with asking to be let out. She loves to play with other dogs, not so much with toys. She loves treats and loves to eat but is not food aggressive. She’s learning to leave her foster sister’s dish alone. On a leash, she is learning not to pull. Due to her history, she does get nervous around roads, but she loves to ride in the car!  Give Whisper a little attention, and she’s wiggling all over the place. She does not jump up and does not get on the furniture. She has been trained to sit, but it’s so hard to sit when someone is loving on you! In person she looks like an Aussie, the vet put blue heeler and we’ve had apps and friends say setter mix. So who really knows?? And who cares; she’s a good girl either way! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   April 18, 2024, 4:07 pm
